  1. Like virtual reality. I'm one of the people that does think the future holds some kind of virtual world we'll be spending our time in. Let's just say I hope so anyway. When the kids throw me in the home, I'll want to live in my virtual world.
  2. Meanwhile I'm over here like, ooh finally some celebrity news I'm interested in. Here's a good article explaining NFTs. I think I understand it more when applying it to the concept of a metaverse, like OASIS in Ready Player One. Like, I can see how you can purchase something you think might be in great demand someday. I even understand why someone purchases something just to be the only person that actually owns it. The world is full of people like that. To me it seems like this guy bought stolen property that Seth can prove was his. If the guy won't respond to him, I'm interested to see how the legal case goes.
  3. Okay, that song was the best choice for the trailer. I got the chills. Please tell me that Will doesn't have that bowl cut anymore. I don't care how old the actors are playing teenagers, that just makes it like every other teen show. I do care about that damn bowl cut that is from the 70s not the 80s.
  4. Oh ain't that the truth. I was a sobbing mess. I watched The Tender Bar last week. I didn't know anything about it going in but it turned out to be a memoir slice of life type movie. I really enjoy movies like that when I'm in the right mood for it. The movie was set in the 70's and 80's and had a great soundtrack. Ben Affleck was in it and he was really good. I generally enjoy him in anything which may need to be in the UO thread.
  5. 100% on Tao's side.
  6. Yeah, I think the pilot of The Americans was one of the best I've ever seen and the use of Tusk was inspired. Unfortunately we stopped with cable so I only saw the first season. I'm gonna have to catch up someday. Another show that uses music in a great way is Fargo. Since this is the UO thread I'll say that I had a hard time making it through season 3 even though it had some great actors. Idk, I was just bored. It was going to be hard to live up to season 2 for me which I thought was just darn near perfect.
  7. I love the art room. Like, that would be my happy place if I went to that school.
  8. I'm so excited about this. I love him on Sex Education, he's the bright shining spot on that show. Can't wait for this era to begin so I can start watching again. I've missed my Who.
  9. I solved the Victarion problem by just whole ass skipping those chapters. I don't feel like I missed anything.
  10. Right. I never get sucked into these fanwars because I like who I like and I hate who I hate. I don't feel the need to defend it. Outlander is a funny one because I can't say I loathe any of them, but I'm not really loving any of the characters except Lord John. I will say I haven't read or watched the show past book 4. I just lost interest although I would love to get a Lord John spinoff. I hope she didn't ruin him in further books.
  11. Nobody was likable on Mad Men. I thought Pete and Betty were the most interesting characters but I didn't like anybody on that show. I don't even remember Pete raping somebody. Shows how much of that show I've blocked out.
  12. I know. I imagine the pressure she was under in Hollywood went something like this: "Your look is too unique. We can't hire you." "You look too generic now. Nobody knows who you are. We can't hire you." FTR, I loved, loved her original looks but I don't think she should have to take the crap she does for giving in to the pressure. Women are made to feel bad about their natural look all the time. Constantly. Not everyone has it in them to keep ignoring that.
  13. I just watched that one a couple of weeks ago. I didn't see much comedy either. I did love how her friend did not give up on her. Also the guy that was like, fuck this shit I'm getting out of here. That was funny. I squealed when I heard a certain voice. Janet from Kim's Convenience. I love the actress, I hope I see her in many more things.
  14. I was thinking about it and although I did like the first two Dark Knight movies, I never re-watch them because I can't stand Christian Bale either. Now there's an UO. Although I don't dislike Ben Affleck, I never watched his take because I hated the Henry Cavil Superman movie so much. So I guess I have problems more with the casting than the movies in most cases. While I'm here, I also can't stand Tom Hardy. Haven't even watched Venom.
  15. I'm not into Moonknight either. I keep hoping it will grow on me but I'm mostly bored.
  16. I haven't seen it yet but I'm in no rush. I'm just not into the grimdark take on it. I know the Tim Burton films were style over substance but I vastly prefer them to any modern take on Batman. I also can't stand Robert Pattinson. Has nothing to do with Twilight, I only saw the first one and I don't remember much about it. It's because I can see him "acting" in everything else I've seen him in. Not a fan.
  17. I can't wait for this movie. I loved Ragnarok so much.
  18. This is true. When I was a kid I was obsessed with Spider-Man. There was nothing available for me to watch except the 60s cartoon. I would have totally been into some Marvel movies the same way I was with Star Wars. They could have sold a Peter Parker figure that came with the suit and accessories like a camera and I would have been all over that. So would my brother. The problem is they want to market doll to girls and action figure to boys when in reality we would both have wanted it.
  19. When I was a kid I basically only played with my barbies. It was all about my brothers toys. I mean, he had an Evel Knievel that you could make jump a ramp. I don't know why it's still thought that girls don't want these kind of toys. Also they shouldn't be ignoring the adult collectors such as myself that haunt the toy aisles. We would love a Bucky doll that we could take out of the package and brush that glorious hair. I think little girls would love to have dolls that could date their barbies. Mine used to go out with Tonto and the Lone Ranger. When my son was little I bought him a whole Barbie kitchen with all the food and an Easy Bake oven. My point is that these types of things could be marketed to boys and girls. I always bought my son all the Power Ranger figures and he played with all of them. I honestly think boys would love to have a Black Widow figure if they weren't being constantly told they are only for girls. The toy companies don't want to market to all children. It's an outdated system.
  20. They have Katrina Law now. She's good so far. But, it's Katrina Law. She's always awesome.
  21. Lol. My UO is that I liked Toy Story 4 better than 3. Not that I don't love all of them. I liked that Woody dealt with his changing role and moved on with his life. The key here is that he dealt with it. Not got some kind of magical do-over. A much better message to send.
  22. If you click on her picture you can get to the 2nd part.
  23. I haven't read part 2 yet, but I love this writer. Very funny. My favorite part so far:
  24. I can't stand Gibbs! I started watching again now that we have Gary Cole. I quit sometime when Abby was still on the show because I couldn't stand her either.
