  1. Pedro Pascal is one of those actors that always elevates whatever he's in, so I'm liking this casting. I loved Joseph Quinn as Eddie so I like this pick too. The other two I don't know but I'm sure they'll be good. Marvel casting has rarely been wrong. As far as the actual movie, I really do want it to be good. I've got Marvel fatigue I guess where I'm not too excited anymore except about certain things. I'd love to get my excitement back. I'm feeling it for Deadpool & Wolverine so please don't let me down!
  2. I just watched it last night and I misheard this too. Later I realized she was talking about their sun, not son. As for the movie, it was okay enough. Kamala was the best thing about it and the end with her recruiting Kate is about the only thing I'm interested in about Marvel these days. That and Deadpool. I wish I could be interested in Thunderbolts but I already feel they'll do my boy Bucky wrong again. I do not have high hopes for that movie but I wish I did.
  3. I watched all of Schitt's Creek about 5 years ago. Just started watching it again last night and when Roland Schitt introduced himself I heard it. Rolled in Shit. I just got it, y'all.
  4. My opinion on NCIS is that I love the current cast the most. I used to watch when Ziva was on, loved her. But when she left I bailed cause I can't stand Gibbs or Abby. Tony wasn't the greatest either. I love it now with Jessica 💖Kasie 💖McGee, Parker, Jimmy. Even Fez is growing on me. I'm only sad about Ducky but they did have him on occasionally before David McCallum died.
  5. That show is just as delightful as I remembered. And I know it was quirky but it's a bit weirder than I remembered also. Hard to believe it's been almost 35 years. I've only watched the first two seasons but we're about to get back to it.
  6. The Royals forum has been closed. This is not a place to discuss them or what you think about the closing.
  7. This one was fun with all the Die Hard stuff. "On the feast of Steve Rogers" lol.
  8. I liked this one. Love seeing my girl be the good guy and Howard was fun in that Rocket kind of way. She looked cool with Yondu's coat and head fin too.
  9. A reminder: We have a health and wellness forum which also includes a peeve thread for all medical talk including Covid. Going forward, these posts will be removed if not in the proper thread. We have posted several notes already about this and a post in the forum rules thread.
  10. I think if Chigs would have strained the berries in the technical then he would have won. It did seem like it was that close.
  11. I never know who any of these people are but at least before, like has been said, the actors were quite funny. I've already forgotten what happened on this one and I just watched it 2 hours ago. Except the turnip part. That was sweet and I did think they looked cool. Everything else looked like hot ass.
  12. Lottie really is the best. "This is the literal definition of polishing a turd". Can we have her every season? She'd be the best host ever. Hang on, wait, can she replace Paul? 😄 She and Prue can compete on who can wear the most horrible outfit. Oh well, a girl can dream.
  13. Yeah, I didn't even think of that. I should have nominated Emergency! which I did not watch back in the day, (I basically watched what my mom watched and this show wasn't a show she watched) but I love it now. But you're right it probably wouldn't make it to the finals.
  14. I am truly shocked and was not expecting this when I opened this thread. Such an amazing actor and his portrayal of Captain Holt is truly one of the funniest characters I have ever seen on TV. RIP Mr. Braugher.
  15. So, the funniest thing is that the Doctor wears tighty whiteys, lol. You'd think like boxers with hearts on them or something. I loved Ncuti in Sex Education so I'm real excited for his Doctor. I really was shocked with this twist and I'm just fine with it. Friendship as a happy ending. My favorite thing. I thought NPH was really good. Especially the part where he was showing what happened to some of the Doctor's previous companions. Loved seeing Mel, I'm just now getting acquainted with her because we have been watching the 7th Doctor's run. She looks great. It's so nice to be excited to watch Doctor Who again.
  16. I never particularly cared for him, but how is he supposed to look? He's a 67 year old man. Oh no, he's getting old. 🙄 Well at least this time they've gone after a man that dared to get old. Progress. /s
  17. That was creepy good. I do hate that the doctor got all emotional with his shit and it wasn't the right Donna. I don't really know what he was on about because I quit watching 13's run but I wish the real Donna could have heard it. I'm not sure she was telling the truth at the end about not remembering. It was so happy/sad seeing Wilf again. Donna's family is the best one of the new Who.
  18. I thought Matty's cake was quite pretty really, too bad about the lean. It was artistic. I actually was a little disappointed in Josh's, his showstoppers have been mostly that. It was pretty but not up to his standards. I do think it came down to taste, as it should. It was Josh's contest to lose. My favorite part was the lardy cake technical. The faces that Matty pulled throughout had me rolling.
  19. Oh there better be. I already want it looking all sweet then you push the button or whatever and those teeth come out.
  20. I thought it was great. I hated the way Donna's story ended so I'm fine, just fine, with that changing. Loved that Rose's animals were like the creatures she's seen, very clever. It was like 15 years hadn't passed and I'm here for it. Ten and Donna and Ten and Martha's adventures have always been my favorites. There were so many good callbacks. I'm ready to go right now and watch it again.
  21. I did think it was funny that Dan bought concert tickets because he didn't think he'd still be there. Did anyone catch the band/artist they were for?
  22. Finally, a fun technical! Matty saying he'd take his out when Josh did was the best part. He's really funny. I happen to like Dan. He's pretty even keeled and seems to accept the ups and downs about the same. Don't see any arrogance. I'd be like alrighty mate too if they told me I got something wrong. Some of us just don't see the need to get all upset about it, doesn't mean you don't care or are arrogant. He does handle Noel better than I would though probably. I'm still slightly rooting for Josh just a bit more. His showstoppers have mostly been just that, and I like the quiet ones. Sorry we had to lose Tash though, what a sweetheart.
  23. That caterpillar cake is cute but it seems like a lot of work. I like the bunny cake I used to make for my kids. Two round cakes, cut out the ears and bowtie from one, frost and boom you're done. I knew Cristy wasn't making no final so it was a fine time for her to go. Josh's showstopper looked so nice and I actually could see that in a shop window. Half the time when they say that I'm like ummmm, no. I think I'm rooting for him just slightly above everyone else. Tasha's little pigs were just the cutest thing. I don't remember the rest of what she had so it must have been boring. I quite like him, he seems a good chap. That haircut is the worst though. There are some things I just don't get about this decade. And people dare to think that 80s hair was bad. 😼
  24. I'm with you on opening that can of worms. Your post did make me think about both endings though. I think Loki's was so much better and showed character growth and that's what I'm here for. Sylvie did get him to admit that when he said he wanted to save the TVA what he really wants is to save his friends. So he does go on and have his glorious purpose but this growth is motivated by how he feels about his friends and finally feeling he belongs somewhere. So satisfying of a character arc for me. This sacrifice is a good thing and more importantly it makes sense for Loki. The person that always felt less than and was always looking for something. I hope this version of Loki and Thor do get to speak to each other sometime in the future. I'm satisfied if it is Loki's swan song but I do think we'll see him again.
  25. I don't watch other cooking shows, only this one. As long as I've been watching I've seen Paul call out contestants on things being old fashioned and it was most always the older contestants. Now he wants to use an older dessert as a challenge and wants to be salty when no one gets it right. You can't have it both ways, Paul. I can and will call him out on it.
