I continue to not be a fan of technicals that are designed for the contestants to fail but holy shit that was the funniest thing I've ever seen on this show. All the contestants laughing at their horrible bakes was just hilarious. I mean, nobody makes stuff like that anymore unless they old and isn't Paul always bitching about things being dated? Shutup Paul! That being said, I would love to taste one of those things done right. That ginger sauce that you pour over it sounded heavenly. The meringue ball challenge was dumb. Every one of them was as ugly as homemade shit except Saku's. Even broken it was the only pretty one. Now because of this show I have become obsessed with Pavlovas and I would have rather have seen them make that even if it has been done before. Someday I'm gonna try my hand at making one.

Milestone Moments: All The Celebrity Vitals
festivus replied to OtterMommy's topic in Everything Else TV
I just saw this and I'm somehow shocked and not at the same time. The abuse he put his body through can really take a toll. I don't see any details yet except I think it was said there was no foul play. I liked him best in a show called Go On which was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. It only lasted a season and I'm still not over it. RIP- 4.2k replies

My niece makes a bourbon pecan pie with chocolate chips every Thankgiving. I make it for Christmas but without the alcohol. Best pie ever. I was actually really happy for Cristy getting her handshake. She's been struggling and it actually meant something to her and helped with her confidence. I love pastry week cause pie is my favorite thing. I could truly chow down on most of those technical pies. I don't care about flat pies, but undercooked potatoes would have me pausing.

He got spaghetti-fied. Sorry, but that was awesome. How will our heroes get out of this jam? I honestly have no idea. I am loving this new Loki who thinks about things instead of just reacting. Loved the convo with Sylvie and understanding of Mobius. More of that please.
-
Yeah, I was a teen in the early 80s I don't remember any hair like that. It was either wings or back in barrettes. I guess some could have had it, but it looks more early 70s to me. Either way, bad choice.
-
What the hell was that with the Kang variant? Jonathan Majors acting choices are just weird. Still I hated it just slightly less than He Who Remains. I hope Renslayer is a variant, then she can take over. Loki and Mobius looked so fly in their 1890s garb. We really should have gotten to see them ride the bike. When that dude knocked Loki's hat off I was like no! Go back and get it. What the ever lovin' fuck is up with Sylvie's hair? So, so, bad. I would love less of her and Majors, more OB and B-15.

Nope. If 9 out of 10 people are dinged for underproofing, something is wrong with the challenge. IMO. It is not enjoyable for me to watch, I was hoping this season to not see people fail as it is not why I watch this show.
-
Also, are they factoring in all the dumb banter the contestants have to engage in? It's very much not entertaining for me to watch Paul say every single time that something is underproofed.
-
That technical got on my nerves. I believe Paul said almost every one of them was underproofed. Well gee whiz, maybe that means that not enough time was given for the challenge. The tiger bread was the best one.

Why in the great googly moogly was Nicki wearing a clown suit under that sweater? 🤣 I love her. I didn't want to lose her or Keith. They're both funny. I don't even really love marshmallow but I wanted to eat every one of those cookies. Mmm mmm. Yep, even the violet one. I used to buy those candies at the global market. They're good. Then all the custard creams. Finished off with a fake burger and fries. With Saku's onions.

Well, we are off to a promising start. I just about died laughing when Mobius said he had no memory of getting his memory wiped. Loki slipping through time did look freaky as fuck. It was fun seeing the McDonald's of 1982. I worked at the KFC in 83 and we had to wear hideous polyester uniforms. (Although strangely, I liked them) They were doodoo brown. And a visor too.

Not the only one. I'm an atheist and it was my favorite story. I've liked Eric's journey with his church throughout the series, this was the logical conclusion to it, I felt. All season I thought it was going towards a realization that he wanted to be a pastor. I really felt his struggle to want to be himself but still want the community that his church provides. So he will be part of the solution instead of the problem. I've loved Hannah Gadsby since I saw them in the show Please Like Me. So, I did not mind Jean's sister showing up, they felt like sisters to me and I loved how her sister kept farting on her. What I did not like was the whole baby storyline. It would have been so much better if they had Jean dealing with the many, many, ways that menopause can fuck with you. That's something I can relate to and something you don't see nearly enough of. Plus, I wanted to scream at how GA held that 8 week old premature baby with its head flopping around all the time. She has three kids of her own in real life and should know better. It took me right out of the show every time.

Nandor was boss at the roast. So funny. I don't have any problem with the Guillermo hybrids. I found Colin Robinson as a baby so much creepier. I love that the Baron was so delighted with them and took them home. That guy is hilarious.
-
The one little guy curled up in the old man's lap was just too sweet. I wondered what he was going to do with them but I did not guess retirement home. That was perfect.

Susannah really bothered me. She didn't want to tell her kids she was sick, she wouldn't believe what Julia was telling her and then she laid such a heavy thing on Belly. She seemed to live in some fantasy land even till the end. That's a good point about Conrad and Belly. They don't seem to have much in common but the show made sure to show us that unlike Jer, he knew what kind of candy Belly likes. That's the kind of thing that makes me sure that the next season will have them as end game. No thanks. I would love Belly to realize that you can't fix someone just because you love them which is a trap that many fall into. It would be nice for once for young women to not get that toxic message.
-
I can not stand Conrad omg hate. Belly seemed to have an epiphany there about him always taking away but I'm sure next season we'll have to deal with this stupid triangle again even though Jer is clearly the superior choice. He's actually concerned with Belly's happiness. I've decided I won't watch and this can be the finale since I'm pretty happy with the ending. Taylor and Belly's friendship was the best thing about this show anyway.

The bitcoin one wasn't my favorite but I love how Fry is so excited that he can be a galoot for a while. Seven horse walkers and a galoot. I liked the Nibbler episode better even though I've never seen Dun G so I probably missed a lot of the references. I always love the Nibbler eps though. Him so cute!

I'm just reading theories, I haven't committed to any yet. I don't know my bible lore cause I'm not really into that stuff. But I read that when the book of Job was written, that Satan and Lucifer were not the same person as people today think. I've been reading many things and honestly I have my own crackpot theory that I haven't seen elsewhere. I want to watch the whole show again and ponder it before I post it. One other theory I read is that Muriel may be Raphael. I need to read more about bible stuff cause like I said I don't know much about it. I also plan to read that book The Crow Road that Muriel was reading.
-
I guess I'll drop in with my UO that I thought the acting was horrible from everyone except the prince. Kinda took me out of it tbh. Well I did enjoy Sarah Shahi and at least the leads did have chemistry.
-
I think my favorite theories are the ones about who Crowley was. I've seen some good arguments for Raphael or Lucifer. That's the thing I needs to know the most. I do think it will be a huge part of season three. Or book if we don't get it. 😥

I'll admit that I didn't remember much of season one at all, hell, I forgot John Hamm was in it. My husband did and he can't remember shit either so that is just terrifying, lol. Anyhoo, I was searching the thread to see if I posted my thoughts. I didn't because that's a thing I do. Or don't do. But I did find this: If you're still here Kostgard, good job. It kinda was that. For some reason, I've now become obsessed with this show and I've been all over Reddit reading theories. I did see where Neil said that if we didn't get another season he'd write the book. That's a good thing although I still stand by my opinion of liking the ending. I realize this is the 2nd act of a 3 act play but I tend to like sad or bittersweet endings if they are done well and this one was. Having said that, boy is it fun to read the theories of where things might go. I do plan to watch both seasons again soon and see what I think.
-
I'm calling it Bonnie. Still team Jelly though. Yeah, this show is kind of hard to take but I just remind myself that teenagers are full of angst and every emotion seems like it's x 1000. So I still don't really have a problem with Belly. She did want to talk to Jer at the school but he shut her down. Plus I don't give two shits about morose old man Connie so there is that.
-
That is a very interesting theory. I'm not really a writer but I read enough fanfic to see where she's coming from especially regarding the Maggie theory. I also am intrigued by her comments about the music and the cinematography and now I want to go watch both seasons again. Oh, how I wish I had the attention to detail that this lady has, lol.
