BAU? Blindspot? Psssh, those don't stand a chacne. :)

Is it just me who was like "Seriously? You are complaining there isn't enough sex? This looks a lot more fun... also, possibly sexy times will happen after that?". On the other hand... being in those positions for several hours... maybe it'd become kind of boring.

Plot hole... They claimed Charles (Cece) put Ali in a tub and poured scaldingly hot water... but showed him putting her in a filled tub with normal water which simply covered the baby's head. MINOR nitpick but pissed me off to no end. I didn't like the weapon in the shoe, somehow it pissed me, because the whole set was... stupid. The show is now exactly like a soap, with the exagerated reactions, faces, sounds and weird body movements. It's... ugh. No! WhisperingSoul - what is daisygate? Outside of this... WTF did I just watch? It made ZERO sense. It is the same slock as the books who have "this person is insane... that is ALL the justification they'll get for their actions". What the hell has political correctness to do with the idiotic idea that Mr. D is supposedly worse than Charlotte resonance? I see it as really dumb argument but nothing to do with the oh, so scary PC. PLL, the show that boldly goes, where everyone and their lazy writing have gone before in regards to demonization of mentall illness and gender... Yay..

Sorry for the offtopic.:) I hope they have a better attitude towards the topic in general and I find it somewhat believable since the age differences and not the completely insane male characters. For my country... I can perfectly seriously believe that her character would have had some sexual experience, however in the U.S. I see quite a different artitude towards the topic of sex.

Actually... I have read comments and texsts claiming exactly that, lesbians who never have had intercourse with a man/men/toys have even been referred as "gold star lesbians". Which is... whatever it is, I don't even have an idea how to call it.

The rest of the season will show us years later after the events in the upcoming episode.

What????

I couldn't shake the "just break the damn door down, come on, for fuck's sake, most of these doors are one kick from oblivion anyway". They could have shown them at least TRYING to kick down the door or destroy the lock. The teacher's reaction towards the liars was bizzare, as if they were grounded or kicked from the ball because they did something wrong and not because there is someone with a grudge against them and wants to harm them. The makeup Alison wore was... what was with it? It looked very sloppy for some reason. To be honest, I liked her dress. I am ready never to hear about Charles EVER again. :)

Ok, I am still not getting it. Can someone explain it to me really slow?

That's be So Aria... :)

S06.E07: O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Eneya replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Pretty Little Liars [V]
I doubt the cookies were poisoned. In regards to the story... I am feeling more and more uncomfortable how ableist and problematic is the attitude towards mental illness from the author and in the show. Recently I read the two books for which it is known they will be made into a tv show as well. Spoiler alert, . -

Wow... the U.S. definitely has some very weird ideas about marijuana. It in no way affects people like this. There is no "trip". People become calm, relaxed and comfortable. No hallucinations, no... whatever that was supposed to be. Seriously, you don't need narcotic chemistry (is this the phrase in English?) knowledge, just wikipedia to know this and to write it accordingly. I didn't like the episode either. Sara is... meh. The whole thing is... meh. It has been dragging for too long, using the same shtick and the audience (me) can't muster any more energy to feel invested, since it is repeating the same 4 steps ad naseum. -
Excuse me... nymphomaniac? The fuck? Having a high sex drive has little to nothing with being nymphomaniac, that is hell of unhealthy thing to be, it has little to nothing with liking having lots of sex and is actually an actual mental issue. I am so glad I didn't see the obligatory "female has high sexual sex-drive, she actually is suffering from a mental illness of sorts, 'cause of course there is no other reason a woman would have a higher than the accepted as the norm in the western society sex-drive". Sorry for the rant, that just thing just popped up.

Women with exotic features??

That's the problem. HE WASN'T pointed by the girls. They never even thought about Andrew being repsonsible for anything or being "A", that happened COMPLETELY unrelated. The idea that he was put in jail had NOTHING to do with the girls affecting him. He tried to help Aria, when she asked him to... which has nothing to do with him disappearing for 3 weeks and the supposed mannifesto and his supposed need to save them. Why he thought he can... it is anyone's guess. He chose to help them (supposedly), so he could be a hero... if he wrote the manifesto, then... he has bigger issues and actually DIDN'T want to help them, not really. If he didn't, it is clear that he was framed by the same person who kidnapped them and he should have had sympathy for them by the reach of the person tormenting them, not turning on them since they were held hostages for 3 weeks. He should NEVER know Aria supposedly ID'd him, because he wouldn't have been told that piece of information and it is obvious the police didn't buy Aria's words. Also... I am highly sceptical that many people who have had that much abuse heaped over them for YEARS wouldn't lie in the situation in which they are told "yeah, the person who tormented you would go to prison and away from you only if someone proves it was him by ID'ing the person we claim we caught as fully repsonsible". Aria should have known better how incompetent the police is... but her reaction was completely understandable in their context. Andrew as reactions simply doesn't make sense so far.

For the life of me, I can't explain Toby/Spencer as a pairing. They have NOTHING, the show never gave them anything to have as a connection. Also... "babe"??? Spencer doesn't look like someone who would like such a nickname nor as someone for whom it makes sense anyone using it. This is not that much about class but more about... intellectual level of the participants in the relationship. One of them is clearly a highschooler... the other a young woman who is stuck with "cause the writers said so" case of a boyfriend. Blergh. P.S. The hell? Why do they feel bad for Andrew and why not being able to PERSONALLY do something means he can't have paid or come up with other options for it? Also, if he had his apendix removed... then he sure as hell wouldn't have been able to run and do some physical activities we have seen him done. It takes 3, 4 days post-operation and then a month or two to go back to normal.

Karen Page: Friend, Mediator, Non-Caped Crusader
Eneya replied to WendyCR72's topic in Daredevil [V]
They hired her, because they wanted to help her. Trauma can make people feel closer to each other and there was a lot of that. They saved her, this counts a lot how close you feel to someone and how much you cling to them. Especially if you feel vulnerable and dejected and alone. I like her as a character, I like the fact that she is just as much as an idiot in some regards as Murdoch. Yes, it is interesting that nobody mentioned the auction thing and I think we will see a lot more about her involvement in Ben's death. The ultimate responsibility about Ben's death is with Fisk... I am unsure if she believed he could be murdered for that... If she knew, well... that makes her evil, if she didn't... simply stupidly naive, a trait that not only she has. She maybe acting as incredibly close to the guys but... Claire knew them for just as much time and somehow she developed so much feelings that deep? Really? I am not going to question those, because sometimes it happens that way... but it is weird to judge one character harsher than another for the same thing. This is not a competition, there could be more than 1, 2, 3 female leads in the story, especially when we check the comics how many female characters are involved under one guise or another with the story and the characters. -
Very much depends. If the auditions were blind, your whole arguments goes out of the window. The idea that in order NOT to be accused of racism and tokenism, they have to HAVE a romantic interest for Liv to be POC, it shifts the whole thing into a different angle and makes it less about the characters and more about race being the defining aspect of those individuals. Quite wrong in itself. Someone said... that they were the best for the job, well, I don't believe that somehow it is always white men who are the best for the job but it is quite a common argument. I definitely agree, there are LOTS of issues with POC representation (not only) and especially in regards to romance... hell, I remember how uncomfortable I was with the Black Box specific interpretation of a POC man and white woman (I don't know if any of you have seen it)... but I have nothing but respectful feeling from iZombie so far... maybe I am giving them too much credit, maybe I am not sensitive enough because I see plenty of representation of me (well... partially at least) in the media and it doesn't jarr me that much. Whom we date and people we are interested in... of course those things are affected by cultural norms. Hell, my whole dating experience is limited to people who are in my age group and sharing my interests, hobbies and ideas about life... Race could be a factor... but not necessarily, we are drawn to people with whom we share things... in this case, the two POC in the show have characters that simply don't intersect with our main heroine (same goes for VM), however, let us not forget that they were WRITTEN that way. To be honest, I feel iffy in regards to Liv dating her boss... I HATE IT when I see relationships like that, regardless of gender and age or race. In regards to Clive... I simply thing the actors lack any chemistry... however, for VM and WF, they had chemistry but I think the show handled pretty well their friendship. I am sick and tired of the trope that men and women can't be just friends... and this is one of the reasons I am not 100 percent onboard with the race argument... it is a trope that men and women can't be friends and it is a trope that POC all want to be with white women. With sufficient stories, which go trough all kinds of relationships, this tropes could be changed, I hope.
-
God forbid male platonic friends for female characters who happen to be white. Or black. Or of any colour, because it is always a trope. I confess, I really am invested in the topic but I have always thought that the show is doing very well on that front, because the characters are complex and diverse as individuals but when analyzed in general, true, there are issues with gay and straight representation and definitely more so with POC. It is simply weird to attack this show in particular in such a way because at least here it makes sense... so far.

Side-track but... I don't find Major attractive, I prefer Ravi... Clive works better for me too. And I STILL prefer tv characters not to be balanced human beings. I do wonder... why guys who enjoy movies with femme-fatales are never blamed or accused the same way women are who like (the example here) fantasy scenarios? :) P.S. Sorry if my previous comment was too much on the snarky side, I read the forum after spending an unpleasant amount of time reading hate for the new Mad Max movie by "real men and women" and got ticked. :) Either it is "just a piece of pop-culture" or it is important... does not work both ways whenever which is more convenient. Also, Major does not get negative treatment in the show whatsoever nor it is excused... a bunch of people stated they find him boring. The amount of hate reserved for female characters is a lot more brutal (death, rape threats, long rants and insults and etc.) AND equating the actor with their character is a regular. So... ugh.
-
Dude... this is television... perfection IS boring. He is so stereotypical, it is like nails on a chalk board. But thanks for equating fiction with reality and hive-minding women. :) I feel so educated about the female condition after having a dude explain it to me. God forbid someone enjoying a complex character which happens to be male, this must be because women are vile.

He definitely injected him with something. If you inject air into someone's vein (artery), they will die...

I am always a bit weirded when incredibly awesome people are shown as lacking any friends. I mean... come on... people liking those people and while not being close with many people, many people would want to be around those. So many incredible assholes have friends and people who hang around them, when someone nice is being shown as friendless, I am always skeptical... also, he is attractive... let is not forget how much that plays as well. :)
