  1. Depends. If they simply reintroduce the father to her mother... sure, why not? But the mother is back to being dead/dying?
  2. The show is really awesome. I am not a fan of the cop, though. He is a nice eye candy but frankly... somewhat boring. And to be honest, it looks a lot like they WANT to project something onto Mary which is VERY obviously untrue, to the point that the cops look over the top bad guys and idiots. I am willing to bet she has nothing to do with the death of the boy for which the whole issue has started. :)
  3. The second dvd with Mary was literally "I am shipping this ship." and... I am sorry... she is on the verge of tears and feels horrible when thinking she may be dead in the first dvd... the feeling of the second dvd was literally her fangirling about them... and not like an equal to one and the partner of another. I read an interesting theory about Eurus doing all of this in order to restore Sherlock and his issues she created. I am calling bullshit to that but it was interesting nonetheless.
  4. Tbh, I liked one quote from this episode. "Which one is pain?"
  5. This was disappointing. I loved the show when it aired initially, especially the first season. Sure, when I rewatched it a few times, I saw all the issues Moffat had (women, poc, etc.) but still enjoyed it. Then came season 2... at the end I was sure I am no longer a fan. Then season 3 came. I was bored. And then there was this hot mess. This is beyond bored, this is... uncomfortable to watch in its sheer lack of point. I am very sad for the talented actors wasted.
  6. I just realised what kind of feeling Eurus is creating in me and what she is reminding me of: I don't know who has seen/heard this band but... I am interested if anyone else has an association with Eurus and this? Or I have completely lost it. :)
  7. Talking about Watson, I want to share this. :)
  8. After the 3rd rewatch. Euros is handled EXACTLY the same way Moriarty was. (With all the fake cues and deductions, masquerading successfully as different people. She even talks the same.) How droll. I hope the next episode addresses that.
  9. Actually, not really. It is entirely plausible that she moved out and cut off ties completely, stopped working and lived into a tiny place, because she felt lost and adrift after that NIGHT in which her father told her he wanted to kill somebody. :) So that makes sense logically and in the story. Of course, we know that that story was fake and the way the note has aged was either PERFECTLY intentional in order to create the impression it did or it was pinned in her place in Sherringford and the deductions are true. Euros may be really all of those, living in a small place, loving cooking, prone to self harm. Maybe she had a person who monitored her, which she disposed of (moving the note from a book to our in the open). :)
  10. Yeah but everything ABOUT the note was edited by Euros. Everything that Sherlock deduced. I am thinking... he told her and she created it after that, as proof? We will see though. Oh, damn. I am a sucker for heterochromia. I rarely pay attention to the actors. Too many have turned out to suck and in turn it has affected my enjoyment of their work, so... apparently I missed that. :) Oh, I agree. What I think is though, Moriarty was in cahoots with Euros... or was her flunky or something. :) We shall see. TBH I was so disappointed with the 1st episode, I am a tad overexcited about this one and obviously have missed things. :) Definitely great thanks for the explanations!
  11. Oh, the show is quite inconsistent. It never showed she had kids but actually, she did. Not only that, she didn't die in Versailles. ;) Actually, what I have observed is that overdramatise things which are in itself a bit boring and quite frankly, gloss over things that should have been front and center. :) Also... the hair... I am halfway between laughing, expecting Lestat to jump from behind a mirror any second now and cringing. I am still confusing some of the actors because of the hair.
  12. I felt like watching Buffy... or Angel. In the sense of the overall campyness. I cringed. I am out.
  13. 1. The walking on walls and so on was Sherlock being high and hallucinating. 2. The note was fake, from start to finish. Euros created it. And everything she said is suspect. About the drug, its effects and so on. The real daughter not only didn't know about her father... nocturnal activities but also has never been part of the inner circle to whom he shared. Actually, nobody knows if he has ever really shared that thing to anyone. We saw the drops but we do not really know what they were used for. 3. I though the actress playing Euros looked and acted very much like Amy Acker. 4. I loved that Euros has heterochromia iridum (different eye colours) and that she wore contact lenses. 5. Mary (actress) and John (actor) dated? Huh... 6. Mrs. Hudson was fun and grated at the same time. Loved her haircut, the car and the taking of the gun. The talking is waaaaaaaaaaay to similar to all other women giving dressing downs to people who everyone finds very smart ever written by Moffat to care. 7. I am sure Mary has nothing to do with this and it is a reference to Moriarty. I am also betting sweet money that they ripped off Elementary and put a female evil mastermind. 8. Choosing people at random but creating an opportunity must have ticked his fancy? IDK... serial killers? 9. I am awaiting the moment somebody calls his mom and Euros is in so... much... trouble... :)
  14. Normal people do not repeat each other's names likes in the shows. :) It usually drives me crazy, when they do that. And about the hair... the wigs thing is right, a lot easier than wigs. It's funny, most french people I know, love it and enjoy it but I am somewhat surprised to see this is not the case with... non-french people.
  15. I am kind of hoping that after the break, the next episode not only addresses all of the issues but shows Lucy being lost in the future or... working with Flynn, for real. :) I also want to have Rittenhouse gone and to turn out that even though they were bad... they inadvertently stopped something worse. Ah.. hopes... 2016 has almost finished and yet, I still have hopes... :)
  16. I just rewatched, so, Lucy was taken out of the room (I think) and she dealt with her captor in seconds, but couldn't pull away from Flynn? Um?? About the kid... well... killing a kid is a bit harder than a grownup, Flynn was having issues with that too. About Lucy being unable to accept it, when it is her who is affected... I find it really cool, in the sense "it's no big deal to make a sacrifice... as long as it is not me", which is something that people actually do. :) I am not sure it is intentional on the behalf of the writers though.
  17. They solved that easily. Only ONE person can pilot the machine. He was already there.
  18. Sorry, would you accept that as a reason not to try and restore a relative, if you can save them? I am betting money Lucy feels responsible for her sister and faults herself. :) As I said, I am sure this is escapism. All of us can think calmly about that but a person in her position? I mean, come on, actual people are willing to subject themselves to the stupidest of things in order to try and cure themselves if sick... and if you have magic (time-travel)? You can move even beyond the regular "wishful thinking".
  19. I think he wanted a second opinion. He respects Marcus.
  20. No. British tv series are regularly quite amasing. Moffat and Gatis are butique and they manage to make something many people like. :) This is not the "norm" though. Yes, the writing is the problem with this show but the visuals is what saves it. It makes turn your brain off and enjoy the pretty, fast talking, smart-sounding (but not really) show. And that is its job anyway. :) This is mostly Moffat. I have watched other shows of his and it is the same... it even has the same characters, lines of dialogues and ideas. :) (Jekyll, Coupling, his run of Doctor Who, etc.).
  21. Again, is it just me, who find it perfectly reasonable to want to save a relative? "It has been two weeks since my sister disappeared. Ah, fuck it, I should move on."??? Really then? This is TV land, where people hold on to relationships for longer, (unless it is plot convenience) also... she can time-travel, she definitely believes her sister can be saved and as she has said herself, this is why she is doing that. The more her personal life changes (the fiancee, the mother), the more it makes sense for her to cling to "it will restore and make everything better if only I get my sister back". If she accepts her sister being gone and not pushing for it, what's the point of her being there? It was already stated by somebody that she should not be that in awe by seeing these actual historical individuals... if that was truly the case and she has moved on, there'd be literally no logical reason for her to be on the team. Somebody has also said that she is having the nerve when Wyatt is there and not saying anything but... why'd she be responsible for his action or inactions? Also, I have figured... 3 ways that may work to save her sister without having Lucy present and this is me not even trying. I support being critical of flimsy stories but this is somewhat weird for me.
  22. Being smart, educated and nerdy in some areas, doesn't mean it is so in EVERY area. Trust me, I'd know... Sometimes I have this giant gapes in popular culture or somesuch, because at no point it mattered to me. I knew about DeepThroat (but I first saw it on X-files, then I learned of the porn and THEN I learned of the politic-related person under the same alias)... I didn't know his name and I never cared much about Nixon. So... there. :)
  23. This is weird, sometimes I do not see the gray text with the air date. I thought up until now that that is sometimes later updated. I do apologise for the stupid question then and will figure out why and what makes it non-visible for me. Possibly cookies.
  24. I am interested what was written on that paper Flynn got at the end of the episode.
