  1. This show is quite amusing though it still hasn't found its step.
  2. MadMoon sounds like the best handle of these two. :) Though... he is also no match for Laura. I mean... cute as hell, but breakable...
  3. I am reading the comments about the wig and I feel weird, because I have a redhead friend whose colour is exactly the same as Essie's. :)
  4. I don't agree with you but I love how you argumented your point. :)
  5. Emission. The hands are theirs, I am positive.
  6. I as a viewer was a bit shocked... imagine seeing that "in real life". :)
  7. You are right... I re-watched... they are different-colours. Apparently I have some issues with my screen and simply didn't see it.
  8. It is supposed to indicate rank, I think, also pure white wings are always a bit more boring.
  9. Lucifer had white wings and then they simply burned/fell, they were never black.
  10. He doesn't have two different coloured eyes but Odin is the one-eyed god, he gives the other in order to gain wisdom. And this is why the ravens are his, they are his eyes in some literal sense. One of the eyes is fake. The question is... which one? :)
  11. Tbh, THAT never happened, it was just PR, people were not panicking, there was no mass hysteria. :) It was a joke, that has turned into an actual urban legend and now people take it seriously. In uni our media professor was so bored by it, that he literally did an eyeroll and said something in the vein of "leave if to the yankees to convince themselves everyone is that bloody stupid" or something. :) Yes, British uni, yes, he was making fun of it but... damn. :) Laura is fun and she acts the most closely a real person would act like in such a situation. Shadow just can not sit down and think more closely about it, so he is still fish out of water but with her it is a lot more straightforward. Don't mess with the superstrong zombie. Also, she is not saintly, she is realistic. Is she a tad assholish? Yes. Question is, why should she not be?
  12. The episode was fun but as a side-effect, I have a lot less respect for Shadow now. She was out of his league... in every way. Intellectually, emotionally, whatever have you. She was quite smart (all the snippets of dialogue were there), she had acute self-awareness, she didn't bullshit herself but she also didn't have any idea where to go and what to do. She was going with the flow with her eyes open and did nothing to change that. Her attempts only made it worse. And Shadow was just... there. He was going with the flow with his eyes closed, because he never wanted or longed for anything else. He doesn't have that need for something more either in himself or outside of him. Between the two, I pity them both in different ways but her more, because Shadow has no idea what happened. And ignorance is bliss sometimes. That's depression for you, I guess. Every choice she makes is the path of the least resistance and... that only makes it worse. Kudos... VERY well made episode. He is light but I don't think it is because he gave her the coin, the coin has its individual magic. The big interest with which Wednesday is latching onto Shadow plus the constant references what Odin needs make me believe that there is something special about Shadow, by blood, history or something else but not in his character but in his makeup. As a person Shadow is pretty, sweet, somewhat naive and ultimately unimaginative and safely boring person, which is perfectly OK but something else has pushed him off the deep end. I assume this is the light Laura is seeing that.
  13. Well, Henry was vying for a son to proceed his line. Louis just enjoyed having sex around and he was not in a position to act the same way Henry did. Also, different personalities, I guess? :) truth be told, I don't think it was personal with Henry.
  14. I am almost sure that baby will never be born. I hope...
  15. I work with random number generators...
  16. Moffat getting credit for making "reality itself scary" rubs me the wrong way. The idea that the world is a simulation has been around for quite a long time. And in all of those analyses, I have always loved the undergoing comment that "that doesn't really matter". Excuse me?? Computers are not good with random numbers? What??
  17. I am really underwehelmed by the "brain issue" development, to be honest. The rest WAS cool.
  18. Up until today I felt good with my eye-liner skills. Damn you, show. :(
  19. Just to point out, her last comment "people who love each other make promises" sounded really weird, creepy and out of the blue. If she is his sister... ew. But who else could she be, sans a mental problem, which would be waay to stupid for this show?
  20. Oh, god, please... no, this kind of bullshit is so not needed.
  21. No, you wouldn't. There is nothing to criticize. :) No, definitely pre-Christian. Significantly pre. About the cat... you are forgetting Bast, I think? Also, as somebody already mentioned, Anubis is NOT a trickster, he has no horse into this game, he really is just walking the dead. So, no, the lady wasn't tricked.
  22. She is what now? Damn... I thought the most surprising age was that of Lane from The Gilmore Girls (34 or something?) but this is close second... she DEFINITELY doesn't look her years. Oh, god... is she the next immortal Bianca Lawson, forever doomed to play a teen?
