  1. It is supposed to be whimsical, she is between day and night, dream-state, so this was very well done.
  2. Thank you. :) OKay, I can live with this. :) I survived Troian Belissario playing a 17 year old while she was... 27(?), I will survive this. :)
  3. Papa Blossoms did it because supposedly Jason wanted out and tried to blackmail him? Hermione supposedly is trying to save Frank from Hiram? Apparently the town is not that small? Also, darker secrets in Frank's closer, some anvils were a-dropping via that? If Cheryl asked NOT to be taken to the hospital, saying "my mom will then have complete control over me and what happens to me", I see both Veronica and Betty agreeing and Veronica taking her home. Why are you expecting adult-level of reactions from a bunch of teens, most of which, from dysfunctional families? It was hell of realistic just not how quickly she was physically ok... :)
  4. This is like PLL when the youngest Sasha looked the oldest. What are the actors ages?
  5. Um... I read 2018 though? I am going to find the article and update the comment. UPDATED: OK, so, as per here: http://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/778682/Riverdale-season-2-when-out-Netflix-release-rumours-date-cast it is for 2018 BUT as per IMDB, it will be THIS fall. I really am unsure but the sooner, the better. :)
  6. Damn, the episode was entertaining. I am amused how many people have forgotten how much teenagers love to position themselves as knowing and with these strict and absolute opinions. Betty and her speech were perfectly fine and acceptable and very much in character. The scene in which Jug puts the jacket and looks both smug, sure and confident and the next scene in which he looks lost and confused when Betty said his name were really, really well done. OK, the original content put forward by Archie IS really weak. Hermione's change of heart was all of a sudden but if she feared the attempted (successful?) murder, then she was trying to help and the whole thing of her being an ass is an act? I can't tell at the moment. The look from Archie to Betty was peculiar. The explanation even more so. Still, we shall see, no? Cheryl is awesome but yes, I had the same issue with her being in the same place.
  7. I think Ali will lose the baby but not by abortion but spontaneously, because the ick fact of this being what connects her and Emily is too great. Also, why do the eggs change anything, ffs? It is still a gigantic violation, I am shocked they are even considering it. Why would a bunch of so dysfunctional people want a baby especially in such circumstances?? Damn, I am not in the tween Tumbl verse or wherever these things are discussed but I am interested how it is going and how are they reacting to it. :) Ted... yeah, okay, hi dude, bye dude. Aria going on her own... ok, this could be solved so easily with a piece of paper and "I am trying to fight them on their turf, keep shush"... Sydney... so... she was a victim of A but chose to become a part of the team, because I can't explain that comment any other way. Paige... I don't care.... actually I really don't care for any of these characters anymore, this show went 3 years too long... How many episodes are left?
  8. Depends. As I mentioned, they are sometimes the same person with three aspects or three individuals, again, three aspects, symbols if you wish. Mostly, it is Vechernica and Zortnitsa (which are Evening star and Morning star), Polunoshtna is a bit of a romantic add-on or a free-association. Please note, Russian mythology is not all of Balkan mythology. There is quite a lot others, like zmeys and samodivas and I think the latter maybe be somewhat linked with the sisters even though samodivas are more closely to water nymphs...
  9. Oh, I am not comparing it with PLL, which is random.
  10. Almost all stories of Christy have a behind-the-curtain moment in which somebody finds out, knows something or sees something without the reader knowing or being explained, so... yeaaah... I kind of disagree. :)
  11. Uuugh... no. They are not gods of good and evil, nor even of good and bad. It's of dark and light, of winter and spring... but they are not absolutes. The sisters are stars... I always feel uncomfortable when Americans handle Balkans and Slavic mythology. It's always mangled, misrepresented and weirdly understood. The sisters are cool and fun. Tbh, the middle sister or the third sister pops here and there but mostly, this is the same person sometimes or different individuals, representing the daughter, the moder and the... other one. The issue with the mythology of my part of the world is that there is so much make believe in the "Slavic" concept, it's hard to work with that. Chernobog is not evil but he sees this as an opportunity to get a sacrifice, to feel alive and in power and to fuck with Votan. :) Also, he is interested in Shadow. I loved his resentment and pain over him and his brother of the perceiveness of good and bad. It's is quite true, it's all about shades in there. It is unknown who or what did the bots away (unknown powers of Shadow? Benevolent 3rd entity? Internal squabbles between the modern gods using the opportunity? Something else?) buuut we will find out. :) Out lady of the hunger mostly confused me this episode, but the scene with the person in the middle of the universe and the casual "goddesses are not homophobic"... also, she is NOT a prostitute here, she is on OK Cupid or something like it. It was established that she is using dating sites or some such. It's funny how distracted Shadow is. AFTER seeing Media talking directly to him and TechnoBoy, he is still completely trusting in phones. And Wednesday's "we will observe the pretty outside of the highway" was so weak and fake, I wouldn't have bought it, yet alone Shadow. Heheh, I am interested how much and how quickly Shadow will get tired of Votan's bullshit. Anansi was... awesome. And the whole scene was so firing, so painful... very well done, congrats to all involved.
  12. The vibe, the style, the script, the chemistry... wasn't there.
  13. The episode was QUITE good. :) Also, the visual reference in the face of the roommate (hehe) of Shadow in prison. I was confused. But then I got it. :) Also... duh, obviously the imagery of faceless white men hanging a black man is disturbing. It's completely intentional. A huge part of American history is subtle, not-so-subtle or completely full on racism. NOT showing this and how close to the surface it is, would be insulting to the viewer. B scene was really, really well-done. And the way they played with the voice was incredible. I am a bit irritated at the somewhat condescending attitude towards her in the sense "it's good she is not just a sex-worker"... really, injecting present day prostitution hate in reference to something that is a clear omage to quite a different treatment of female sexuality and deity rubs me the very wrong way. Of course there are some problematic aspects in Gaiman's work. And I remember after rereading the book being irked at some of the tropes... however, I have high hopes for the tv show. :)
  14. They are crazy nutritional. :)
  15. The episode was fun but my reaction to Shiwell was something like "Let Moriarty get her hands on him."... the gal of this person was beyond... everything. Beating the crap out of one of the two people who actually saw him as a person was too much. I hope he disappears, seriously, I am done with this character. The scene of the beating WAS really good and was acted very well, however... make him pay... :)
  16. I am a bit miffed that some people have issues with the reviews, because the reviewers disliked the show and were irritated at the very irritating whitewashing and at idiot Danny mansplaining shit to people who are in no way less than his equal. I would have been a lot more irritated and with a lot stronger words than some of the recaps, tbh. Mostly, people, who recap, people who review, have education in media, film, etc... which means, they know what to look for and can spot a flaw, mistake or just plain stupidity a mile away and they talk about it directly. To me, this sounds like people critisising judges for being too harsh on the performance of an athlete, because the said viewer liked it. :) Opinions are fine but liking or not liking something is not that much of a debate. Somebody liked it, great. Somebody didn't. It's ok. It can be discussed why it was or wasn't like but... there is no right answer to this anyway.
  17. Somebody asked who was the person in the wheelchair. Which one? One was OBVIOUSLY Charles Exaviour, which we saw as a memory in Amy's mind. The other was the guy who hit people and could move them like slapped with a gigantic hand or something. He was in a chair due to him being shot or something?
  18. Oh, come on... you don't have to be broody or emotionally crushed or whatever, to be an interesting character. He wasn't boring, because he was sunny, he was boring, because there was zero character development, he acted without thinking, he constantly acted as if he is really experienced person, constantly was proven wrong and he repeatedly acted like a complete idiot. Not like a gullible person or naive person or trusting person. More like a person who is really, really not all there. And the weird thing was that people acted more like he is crazy than just somewhat stupid. People, who had EVERY reason to believe that what he says is true, because they have seen weird shit, denied it and acted like he is crazy. Repeatedly. Characters, who should have acted in control (I am sorry, Colleen is a sensei, which means that she should be used to be in position of power and to lead... was following Danny, without ANY clashes? And that happens repeatedly even after it is clear he has no idea what he is doing? I don't buy that for even a second.) All in all, his issue was a weak character, no personal development and shoddy script a lot more than being a ray of sunshine.
  19. Very easy. So, Maia's dad got visited by the Matthew Perry lawyer and after that he was released on bail. Maia's dad called and suggested they meet and talk. She agreed. Later her uncle visited and told her she is being set up by her dad and he will wear a wire in order for her to say something incriminating. She talks with Elesbeth who suggests to either avoid seeing her dad or catfish him with an imaginary client with an imaginary sum of money and an imaginary bribe. And to record it on her phone. Maia doesn't want to do that very much. She goes to visit her family. Who are having... a party? And people visit them? Because they still have friends even after the ponsy scheme?? Maia talks with her dad. He... gets pushy and she gets suspicious. She records their conversation and tells him about the fake client and the fake 800k. At the end of the episode, the guy who Lucca is seeing comes and tells her the whole thing, as he believes that it is actually true and warns her. It proves that Maia's dad wore a wire and gave everything to Perry's asshole lying lawyer. So... now the Perry lawyer has fake information and Maia's dad is an asshole who willfully tried to set her up and fuck her over.
  20. Sarah Steele (Marissa) is fun. Also... she is a runner up contestant to "they really named their kid that??" right after Benedict and that poor "Anastasia Steele" character. And the fact that only one of these is imaginary is... weird. :)
  21. Davos sounded like a jilted ex. Also... yeah, K'un L'un doesn't sound like the bee's knees, does it? Also, Danny flip-floped constantly. He did like it there. No, he didn't. He wanted to be Iron Fist. No, he didn't. It was a big deal. No, it wasn't. He has let go of things, sans family. No, he hasn't. He is wise and calm. No, he isn't. He was severely beaten and abused. But it was not like a cult!!! But he couldn't control his emotions. No... he can. No, he can't. No, he can. No, he can't. GAAAAAAAAAH! Joy made no sense. Davos was a good friend. Supposedly. Who bitched and complained and acted as if Danny was gone for YEARS and not... months, at best. And then was a-ok to kill Danny? What?? Even madam Gao was less than her brilliant self. Also, why did he have a British accent?? Considering K'un L'ao is unaccessible, if he manages to manipulate things into having Danny dead, who will become the next Iron Fist? Can it be Colleen??? Please? Also, wouldn't that royally fuck K'un L'un? I couldn't stand it, really... At least I loved how much Harold went over the edge. :) (I mean mentally, not the final fight, which was the obligatory tall building flop.) The scene with the spoon and the ice-cream was superb. And his remorse after that. Is it just me, or does anyone else's head hurt from trying to figure this thing out? What happened with the suit against the plant? I expected for it to be a plot point? How did the henchman convince anyone that a headshot to the front of a head is a suicide??? Who is working on the board now? Why were Danny and Colleen dressed at the end like they were hiking to the local park? Also, no equipment?? For him, fine, but she could have dropped to her death several times, especially with those exposed hands, face and weird clothing choice. Also, the backpacks looked like the worst choices for going in the mountains. -incoherent blabbing- This show is bad for my brain...
  22. Wait... THAT'S Matthew Perry?????
  23. I laughed. A lot. :) It was funny and I like Mellisa and Elspeth a lot. And of course, I like Maia... who looks a lot like Anna Kendrick to me, for some reason? And she is actually Scottish, right? :)
  24. Mmm... sorry but I think you misspelled boring there... :) You are right, I think he is affected by the curse of the lead. To be honest, the whole cast is played by people who do not look 15. That or there is definitely something in the water.
  25. This show one of few redeeming qualities. She is really, really fun to watch. The actress is cool, warm, energetic, complex and not stuck in a stereotype. Though I CRINGED at the scene of the explanation of martial arts to her done by a white dude, because... geez, soooo heavy handed. She reminds me of Elektra in some aspects (in a very good way though) and I am REALLY enjoying this. :)
