Ghana and Peru are both pretty close to the equator but Ghana is just a little north of it.

Season 17, Ep. 18 - Spirits in the Night Feb. 26 2024 A good solid episode, right up Crabtree's alley with ghosts and all. He is always open the possibility that there really are ghosts and spirits. Season 17, Ep. 18 - A Most Surprising Bond March 4 2024 I really enjoyed this episode. Unfortunately they could not save the nurse who died but Julia's quick decisions and actions, along with the chemical detective work of Miss Hart and William helped save other lives. And the doctor who had fired her previously got his comeuppance. I wonder if the cop who took the bribe will be found out or if he'll continue to be on the take from the Mafia. Season 17, Ep. 18 - Rhapsody in Blood March 11 2024 Another very good episode. I felt so sad that the young composer was murdered until I found out the reason. Then it was okay😉 It was interesting how each one would hear something in real life and it would become part of his or her music. I loved the dreamlike sequences, each highlighting the style of music they played. But I don't know how Brackenreid thought he could suddenly start playing the cello with no lessons and hope to produce anything that sounded like music. -

That's what I was thinking about me! At least MV made it through. -
And yet, in his latest game, he came across as very personable.

1/5 0* I got Monday's Ovid and it was all downhill from there.
-
I am so bummed that Ray lost. So far none of my favourites has made it through. I did get FJ but, like so many, only because he was the only one I could come up with - was very surprised that it was correct. I also got pulchritudinous. How is it that every winner is going to the semifinals?
-
I've gotta say that one never even crossed my mind.
-
2/5 1* Those chocolate eclairs look so delicious!
-
I said cookie too. Didn't even think of scone and don't think it sounds Dutch. For FJ I knew what country they were looking for and could picture it on the map in my mind, knew it had an e on the end but sometimes not, and still it took until the last second to pull it out of my brain.
-
I remembered Hannah quite well and was rooting for her but it was not to be. FJ was not an instaget but I did get it in reasonably good time. My son poohpoohed my answer so I was happy to say HA! when I was right since military history is his wheelhouse. It was a fairly good game for me overall. I was pleased to get the ts of The Ransom of Red Chief since I like that story, and pretty much all of O. Henry's work.

I always loved that theme song. I also liked the Ballad of Palladin theme song from Have Gun Will Travel. Ballad of Palladin

1/5 0*

I also said Doc Holliday for FJ although I wondered if he was even still alive 15 years after the shootout, what with his consumption and all. I guess the old tv show about Earp really whitewashed him because I just didn't think he would have done something like that.

There's a new thread for this episode.

Season 17, Ep. 16 - The Preacher Jimmy Wilde Feb. 12 2024 It's always good to see Ted Atherton and this was an excellent role for him. I enjoyed the episode but really don't have much to say about it. Yannick Bisson and Ted Atherton co-starred in two tv shows that I know of, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (which I never watched) and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye (which we did watch on Saturday nights.) Season 17, Ep. 17 - The Fantastic Mr. Fawkes Feb. 19 2024 Well, I can put up with one episode a season with Terrence Meyers but his wife as superspy is too much. Hope we never see her again. Otherwise I thought it was a good episode with a nice Canadian plot. -

Carla is usually a judge on baking shows rather than general cooking. I like her too. -
I wasn't sure that was really Michael Weatherly either. I didn't know if it was CGI/photoshop or just another actor. It wasn't until I saw his name in the end credits that I truly believed it was him. I think we saw enough of Gibbs in photos and flashbacks that he really didn't have to be there. Anyhow, great episode. Lots of emotions, enough humour to lighten things a little, and even an interesting case to finish for Ducky.
-
Good, because I also said St. Louis Arch. 3/5 1* Missed M & T, got Wed through Friday.
-
What about Harry? In the episode I watched last night, Neville was taking Harry out to the wild, changed his mind but then ended up losing Harry.
-
2/5 1* I got Cambodia and I Walk the Line.
-
Pretty much an instaget FJ. I was surprised all three contestants came up with the same wrong answer since the movie, Walk the Line, made little to no impression on me. Still, I would have thought the song was much more famous than the movie so they should have gotten it right. Alex Trebek probably would have said it was before their time.

I was so close to FJ - I said the Library at Alexandria instead of Lighthouse at Alexandria.

Season 17, Ep. 14 - The Smell of Alarm Jan. 29 2024 This was such a great episode, probably the best of the season so far. Too bad the site was down last week so I didn't get to post anything then and now I've forgotten what I wanted to say. I was surprised that Crabtree wasn't there; I thought he was back for good in the previous episode. Season 17, Ep. 15 - Murdoch and the Treasure of Lima Feb. 5 2024 Murdoch and Watts are great together but then I think Murdoch is great with whoever he works with. I do like episodes where they go outside of Toronto. However, I was a little afraid they might have to go all the way to Oak Island NS to find the treasure😄. I wonder if we'll ever see Leopold Hudson again. I didn't know Margaret Atwood did any acting but, according to her imdb, she's done a few shows including The Handmaid's Tale. No Julia, Crabtree or Higgins-Newsome this episode. -
2/5 0* for me this week, Scarlet Pimpernel and Adelaide, wife of King William IV. I am so glad we are back.
