  1. In Julian's post he says Sherlock took the heroin. I know he took it out of the book but did he use it? Was he high (or low, whatever heroin does to you) when he went to join MI-6? He seemed a trifle manic to me but that could have just been enthusiasm because he had thought of a way to help Mycroft. Why doesn't Sherlock turn part of the brownstone into a small apartment for Joan? Then she'd have her own space and still be near. But maybe that wouldn't be far enough away for her. I enjoyed the finale, particularly Mycroft and Sherlock together. Seems like they are changing things up some so next year won't necessarily be a procedural so much as the first seasons. I am looking forward to next season to see where they go with it.
  2. I think it was all done just for a bit of comic relief, exactly like BA Baracus:) Good comparison! Then too, it was a very tiny little submarine, more like a toy than a real sub. Have we ever been told why Nell is Hetty's go-to girl? And why did she get a hug and Kensi got the brush-off? Was it guilt on Hetty's part that she wouldn't answer Kensi?
  3. Thanks GHScorpiosRule. That makes considerably more sense than her getting a new id.
  4. i can't say I caught any of their names but I was sure i saw Ma'am get a new identity folder too. Is that correct or did I imagine it? Because the seven being protected by the machine are Reese, Finch, Shaw, Root and the 3 geek squad members, so they are all accounted for. Yeah, Bear needs a new identity too. His new name could be Wolf:) I thought it was a pretty good finale. Left me feeling a little sad and empty, but as long as they pull it all together again (which I'm sure they will) it will all be good again.
  5. Swoon. I'll say! And he looked pretty good in the rest of the episode too! To be fair to Mycroft, it was really Sherlock alerting Joan to the French mafia hanging out in the restaurant, and her own curiosity, that got her kidnapped. Certainly it was Mycroft who had created the whole situation but he couldn't know that Joan would follow the mafia guy into a dark alley. I agree with catrox14 that this was one of the best episodes of the series. I really enjoyed it. I recall from the books that Mycroft, however brilliant, was very lazy and it was definitely Sherlock doing all the heavy lifting in the search for the list and the person who took it.
  6. Thanks, Cress. I would have liked to hear the song playing in that scene, just in the background. Apparently everyone but me knew or suspected that Mycroft was working for MI-6, I was just telling mr.Trey yesterday that Mycroft was smarter than Sherlock in the books so I was disappointed that they were showing him as rather stupid and crooked too. That should have tipped me off right there:) Anyhow, I was really happy that it turned out he was working for the government after all.
  7. I must have missed the explanation. Other than Paint it Black being a Rolling Stones song and obviously the code phrase for the police to come in I don't know what it meant.
  8. Tim Roth mumbles even worse than JLM. Damien Lewis might be good but for now at least he's tied up with his own show. I like JLM very well. Except for his mumbling.
  9. I would like to think that Watson was pretending to reciprocate Mycroft's interest in her so she could find out what he's up to. It's obvious to us, the audience, and to Sherlock that he's up to something and maybe Watson isn't quite as dense as she's being portrayed.
  10. Life imitates art. Glad the cop is okay.
  11. I didn't think she was having a seizure, just starting to choke. Really slowed things up. I'm surprised Keith didn't do better; I had remembered him as a powerhouse. I was rooting for him but Dan is fine too. I had no clue at all on FJ. The only book I could remember with a portrait being of some importance is The Picture of Dorian Gray and I know that was 19th century.
  12. I normally dislike hostage episodes but this one wasn't too bad. Russell was pretty good in the situation, although getting the fingerprint and staring at the camera was very risky. I liked the return of the kid who pointed the laser at airplanes in a previous episode. Maybe getting shot at the police station will have more effect on him than Nick's lecture. Although I still have no idea why Russell was going to interview him instead of a cop...that made no sense. I did not suspect the wife. Once the shooting started I knew her husband was going to die, just because they focused on them and their forced banter. But I didn't catch on until Sara spelled it out at the end - I'm usually a little quicker but not this time. Mostly what I liked about the episode was the rest of the crew doing their usual work to find out what was going on. It's supposed to be all about the CSI after all.
  13. I'm glad to hear that, I was so sad for Jimmy. This episode bored me so I was only partly watching; therefore I missed Jimmy's good news.
  14. Don't mess with the Tuhon.
  15. Still watching after all these years and after all the cast changes. So sad to learn we are losing Paul Guilfoyle/Jim Brass at the end of this season.
