  1. I am an old Canadian but I've only had poutine in the last year. I don't care for it since apparently I don't like cheese curds, whereeas I love the fries and gravy.
  2. I have to say that, as much as I like Amy, I would have liked to see someone else in the tournament, as I suggested already Juveria or Ray Lalonde or someone else worthy, just to freshen the competition up a bit.
  3. 0/5 Sometimes I just don't know the FJ answer and sometimes I should have figured it out. I feel so stupid for not getting Gordian Knot and Cook.
  4. That was my impression of the article too. So we'll just wait until we hear something definite before we start pulling out our hair.
  5. Juveria would be a very good choice; or perhaps Ray Lalonde. I think they are both worthy of being in the Masters tournament.
  6. Season 17, Episode 24 - For the Greater Good April 8 2024 I saw a lot of comments on Facebook expressing the same thought. I can't believe they would end the series without letting us know beforehand but it's happened to other shows as we sadly know. It really wasn't a proper ending. Even if they do a shortened final season I would like to know it's the final season and would like everyone's lives to be wrapped up somehow. I really don't like the idea that Julia and Susannah return on the Titanic although, of course, they could still survive. But it's not just their survival - I don't always like when international events (and famous people) are kind of jammed into the show. I also don't like that Julia is going off to England to teach when she just opened her own hospital. So did I. I' m glad they didn't just let that storyline drop. Even though Brackenreid's and Murdoch's promotions were well deserved and a long time coming, I didn't like the absence of Brackenreid. I also missed seeing Watts and Miss Hart. @Grundoon59, how was your eclipse viewing? Even though we are in the path of totality I missed the full coverage because I didn't wake up from my nap quite in time. I was close though and there was only a tiny crescent of sun showing when I did go out. Luckily I only had to go out my back door to get a perfect view.
  7. I am ticked still that Mattea wasn't in the invitational. Did not get FJ but I was pretty sure that the Black Sea would be one of the end seas. I was thinking too far east but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have got it even I were in the right area.
  8. So did I but with no great confidence. And my lack of confidence was justified. I think my only ts was Easter Parade; at least I don't remember any others. It would be nice if Andrew could win tonight's game but he hasn't really been doing too well against the two dynamos. I am rooting for Amy but any of the three winning will be fine with me.
  9. 2/5 0* Got Monday & Tuesday right - I made a good start, it could have been my 5/5 week but it wasn't.
  10. There is always knowledge behind a WAG - or you wouldn't have gotten it at all.
  11. Nice play by Amy at the end of the game to put her in a position to overtake Victoria. Plus, it helped that she got FJ right and Victoria did not. I joined Victoria with guessing CIA although I thought it was founded earlier than 1952 in the clue - which it was but only by five years.
  12. Re FJ, I got Golden Horde because we watched that series back when we first got The Learning Channel. I know I got some ts's but Meander is the only one I can remember since I haven't been writing them down lately.
  13. I am so glad Sam won. I vaguely remember Lily, don't recall anything against her. But Colby, I had thought he was generally disliked - I remember not liking him during his original appearances. Instaget FJ. I read the Chronicles of Narnia as an adult after I bought them for my sons and I enjoyed most of them, with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe as my favourite. Only one son read and liked them; the other one just doesn't like to read.
  14. Yeah, I don't know why he needs to have any sort of competitive divide - just draw straws as to who goes against whom.
  15. LOL Let's just hope it's an April Fool's Joke!
  16. That was Ben Hoskins whose sister, Rose, had come to Murdoch to find her missing brother. If they explained how Fellowes knew Hoskins I'm afraid I don't remember it.
  17. I remember Arthur Chu as someone who was not too popular when he was first on Jeopardy! but he seemed so bland last night that there was nothing to like or dislike. Maybe all the contestants were told to tone things down. I remember liking Austin Rogers quite well in his early days despite his quirks but he was another one who stayed quiet. I remember Dave Madden's name but not him personally - or his parrots. And McKenzie Jones I don't remember at all. For FJ I first said platinum for some reason, thinking it looks like silver but more so. Then "living silver" became quicksilver (from 'the quick and the dead', and then to mercury. I did not get Monday's FJ but I should have - my first thought was that it would be a criminal type who would claim his scar as a war injury but Scarface never came to me even though I know full well that it was Al Capone's nickname.
  18. I don't know why Knight's father thinks she has to stick to a plan they (mostly him it seems) made when she was a kid. Things change in life.
  19. Season 17 Episode 22 Why is Everybody Singing March 25 2024 What did you all think of the musical? I see a lot of comments on FB from people who hated it which surprised me a lot. I enjoyed it very much, what with all the singing and dancing and great costumes. Everybody did their own singing. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they all did, especially Julia. And it is always a pleasure to see Sharron Matthews. The plot was interesting too with the added complication of them having to work inside Murdoch's coma. Okay, I know that's not real but it was a good twist to the plot. Now I hope we never have to see Ralph Fellowes again. Even better that he brought about his own downfall. So, it wasn't Once More, With Feeling (my favourite episode of any tv show ever) but it was very good and I would like to see it again. Only two more episodes this season. I wouldn't be surprised if next season is the last but I think I've been saying that for the last few years.
  20. Ditto. I love Rod Stewart. I did get FJ, my first in a couple of weeks.
  21. 1/5 Thank you, Rosetta Stone. I really did feel for Terry, who thought she only needed the name of the town.
  22. Season 17, Ep. 21 - Engaged to be Murdered Mar. 18, 2024 I thought this was a good mystery, ably solved by Watts and Crabtree. They do work well together. Another new friend for Watts? He certainly is a flirt! I like this new fellow although I've forgotten his name. No Julia or Brackenreid this episode and not much of Murdoch either. I am so looking forward to next week's episode - a musical! I'm surprised they haven't done one before this.
  23. Then they'll have another tournament to get enough contestants for a ToC. I had no real clue for FJ but I did think of astronauts. However, that wasn't enough to get me to Gagarin. I am heading for another 0/5 week.
