As soon as Donckers said yes to Dan's proposal I knew one of them was toast. I certainly hope Donckers is back but I thought she was already dead - maybe only mostly dead. Jasper's breakthrough was wonderful to see. I'm glad his time of blaming his mother to accepting that she killed his father to save him was short. I thought I was seeing things when I saw the BMO logo. I didn't know they sponsored LA teams. I was afraid Rebecca and Anna were going to come to blows over the fish. Since the fish were raw I guess Anna was right.

Other than the few chefs I already know I am not familiar with the rest so don't know the name of the fellow who got eliminated. Whatever his name, that was a devastating critique of his dish. However, twice (or thrice) baked potatoes loaded with three fats and four cheeses (also fats) sounds bad to me. The potato would have been just saturated with fat.

Yes, she fell and ended up with a broken hip. But surgery went well.

I wonder if Jasper will now go to the attic and find what Adelaide was looking for. They have really got to get that story line moving along. And now he's got his job back.

3/5 I got Mon. Tues. & Wed. I was so close to Friday's clue - I knew who they wanted but couldn't pull Salk's name from my brain. I'll bring a basket of cherry tomatoes from my garden to go with the cold cuts and bread basket - and a big bowl of sweet cherries for dessert.

Besides Kevin wanting to send another team in the wrong direction, I didn't like him ignoring Gurleen's advice when she is the one from BC and knew what she was talking about. I hope she dumps him before this race is over. I agree that the right team went home. They barely made it under the wire last week and didn't perform any better this week. Other than Kevin and Gurleen I like all the rest of the teams, with the twins being a slight favourite.

I recognize three of the contestants as having been frequent judges on Fire Masters: Andrea Nicholson, Ray Lampe, and Hugh Mangum. Dominique Leach, who won last season's BBQ Brawl, was also a former judge on Fire Masters. I am rooting for Andrea and felt bad that she didn't do the seasoning so well last episode. I hope it's all good for her for the rest of the season.

Reckless indifference to human life. I wonder if Jasper thought the dog was already dead or was just so taken aback by everything going on that he didn't know quite what to do. I was so happy to see Kafka hork up the poisoned chocolate, which, by the way, wasn't good for him even if not poisoned. I loved Adelaide going on about how the dog had saved her life and Jasper is just "He wanted the chocolate". I guess we'll see how the new boss works out - she seems okay so far. At least she is taking Jasper back - on probation but that's better than not at all. Now he just needs to get his job back. I love these characters more every episode.

I'm glad Jasper is out of prison but I did like the cases he solved while he was there. Last night's case was really sad though. According to Wikipedia, there are three more episodes.

Definitely not just you. I kept reading the clue trying to figure out what the heck they were asking. "This man" would have been a big help, rather than just "he". I might actually have got the answer if it had been written a little better. But I did get the tiebreaker. eta: I was a little slow un-muting the tv so I missed Ken emphasizing the "he" in the clue. So that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it😀

I guess the Roger you are referring to is Roger Craig but he didn't make the list. For the longest time he held the record for highest winnings in a single game until James came along - now most of the top spots in that category belong to James.

I have also never seen or read A Clockwork Orange and have no desire to. "Thug" took me to Lord of the Flies, just a few years off. And wrong.
