And the earworm!

Another crappy 1/5, Monday only. I did get 'moons' for Thursday's FJ but never got to the 'of Jupiter' part.
-
That would be my choice. Or just go further down the line based on most money won.
-
Did the contestant correct himself?

1/5 0* Just Smokey the Bear for me. I thought I was familiar with all the Winnie the Pooh books but I guess I missed that first one.
-
I hadn't heard any rumors that Rex had died but then I don't go to Reddit. I thought the delay in the show was maybe because Diesel had just gotten too old to do the job and they were training one of the other dogs. I am very sorry to hear about John's cancer and do hope he is all recovered now.

Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Have a safe trip home, @Browncoat. I appreciate your taking us along with you on your trip.

1/5 0* I just got Blanche DuBois. I could not get on the site until just a few minutes ago. Didn't know what to do with myself all day.
-
2/5 1* Sardinia and Marie Curie.
-
Oppenheimer was my first response for FJ but I very quickly switched to Marie Curie, didn't even think it might be Pierre. Kit Carson shoutout to us. I am very familiar with the Oscar Wilde quote and was surprised that none of the contestants knew it.

There's a great big table of us 'just Morticia' people.

Emmaline had given him a healing so he was much improved if not completely cured.

It did add an extra syllable so I think it would have been ruled incorrect, had it been the correct answer in the first place.

Ditto.

Yeah, I hate wasting food even as you say, it's not good food. Ann Marie is really growing on me but I don't think she's going to be around much longer. How many times has she been nominated for elimination already?
-
That was a very satisfying conclusion to the competition. I'm glad Chanty and Moira were the final two and the best chef won.

A lowly 1/5 0* for me this week, good thing I knew Tennessee Waltz.

Murdoch Mysteries - General Discussion
Trey replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in Murdoch Mysteries
@cardigirl, I take it you are watching MM on CBC Gem? That is a week before we get it on regular CBC. I really enjoyed this episode for all the reasons everyone has already pointed out. I liked seeing Christmas from the point of view of different people from different walks of life. I loved seeing Margaret kicking out her very annoying sisters as well as the Higgins-Newsomes, although Ruthie was hilarious. The Starbright Room certainly seemed the place to be on that Christmas Eve. Loved Brackenreid arriving just in time to catch the bad guy. I hope Watts' new relationship goes well. He deserves some happiness in life. I enjoyed the jazz Christmas music but when they had Shane MacGowan sing I was just amazed - I have never heard that song before and it floored me. I do love me some Irish singing. Wonder when this was filmed since he died Nov. 30 2023. -
The Frost clue was a missed DD in DJ last night. I was referring to Monday's FJ. I did not get last night's FJ either. I saw US Supreme Court Justices and knew I wouldn't get it. I didn't.

Once again they sent the right person home but I was sad to see Lisa go. On Haan's part I thought that was a prettty desperate move, and not a good idea, to mention to the judges all the challenges he's won when everyone knows that everything rests on your last dish. I liked his Lady and the Tramp concept but he just didn't pull it off too well.
-
He reminds me of Father Brown, as played by Mark Williams. I did not get FJ. I was hung up on it being something by Kipling but the only book of his I've read is Kim and I knew it wasn't that so I had nothing.

@Grundoon59, I gave you Fire for your 5/5 + 1* but I would also like to send hugs to you for your awful cold. My cold is also hanging around and sounding like consumption. I guess it will eventually go away. I am having chicken soup for lunch to help it on its way. We need to be able to do two emojis at once to make our response more precise, like Fire/Hugs, LOL/sad, etc. Pipped by Clanstarling right before I posted!

For FJ I pre-called Psycho but Gaslight never entered my mind. It's been so long since I've seen the movie that it just wasn't on my radar. I remember Angela Lansbury playing the housekeeper who helped the husband. Have a wonderful trip, @Browncoat!
