  1. I also said Doc Holliday for FJ although I wondered if he was even still alive 15 years after the shootout, what with his consumption and all. I guess the old tv show about Earp really whitewashed him because I just didn't think he would have done something like that.
  2. There's a new thread for this episode.
  3. Season 17, Ep. 16 - The Preacher Jimmy Wilde Feb. 12 2024 It's always good to see Ted Atherton and this was an excellent role for him. I enjoyed the episode but really don't have much to say about it. Yannick Bisson and Ted Atherton co-starred in two tv shows that I know of, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (which I never watched) and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye (which we did watch on Saturday nights.) Season 17, Ep. 17 - The Fantastic Mr. Fawkes Feb. 19 2024 Well, I can put up with one episode a season with Terrence Meyers but his wife as superspy is too much. Hope we never see her again. Otherwise I thought it was a good episode with a nice Canadian plot.
  4. Carla is usually a judge on baking shows rather than general cooking. I like her too.
  5. I wasn't sure that was really Michael Weatherly either. I didn't know if it was CGI/photoshop or just another actor. It wasn't until I saw his name in the end credits that I truly believed it was him. I think we saw enough of Gibbs in photos and flashbacks that he really didn't have to be there. Anyhow, great episode. Lots of emotions, enough humour to lighten things a little, and even an interesting case to finish for Ducky.
  6. Good, because I also said St. Louis Arch. 3/5 1* Missed M & T, got Wed through Friday.
  7. What about Harry? In the episode I watched last night, Neville was taking Harry out to the wild, changed his mind but then ended up losing Harry.
  8. Hurray!!! This is one of my most favourite shows. I wish the seasons had a few more episodes in them.
  9. 2/5 1* I got Cambodia and I Walk the Line.
  10. Pretty much an instaget FJ. I was surprised all three contestants came up with the same wrong answer since the movie, Walk the Line, made little to no impression on me. Still, I would have thought the song was much more famous than the movie so they should have gotten it right. Alex Trebek probably would have said it was before their time.
  11. I was so close to FJ - I said the Library at Alexandria instead of Lighthouse at Alexandria.
  12. Season 17, Ep. 14 - The Smell of Alarm Jan. 29 2024 This was such a great episode, probably the best of the season so far. Too bad the site was down last week so I didn't get to post anything then and now I've forgotten what I wanted to say. I was surprised that Crabtree wasn't there; I thought he was back for good in the previous episode. Season 17, Ep. 15 - Murdoch and the Treasure of Lima Feb. 5 2024 Murdoch and Watts are great together but then I think Murdoch is great with whoever he works with. I do like episodes where they go outside of Toronto. However, I was a little afraid they might have to go all the way to Oak Island NS to find the treasure😄. I wonder if we'll ever see Leopold Hudson again. I didn't know Margaret Atwood did any acting but, according to her imdb, she's done a few shows including The Handmaid's Tale. No Julia, Crabtree or Higgins-Newsome this episode.
  13. 2/5 0* for me this week, Scarlet Pimpernel and Adelaide, wife of King William IV. I am so glad we are back.
  14. 1/5 0*, not great but an improvement over last week.
  15. Here's a little piece about Gracie Brooks, George's birth mother. Gracie Brooks
  16. LL Bean was an instaget but their mention of shoes had me doubting myself and I was trying to come up with shoe makers. Couldn't think of anything better so I stayed with LL bean.
  17. I liked this 8 episode series well enough, at least partly because it was new programming, but I don't know if I like it well enough to watch if it gets picked up for a full season - probably depends on what is on at the same time.
  18. Season 17, Ep. 13 - Train to Nowhere Jan. 22 2024 I really enjoyed the Crabtree part of the show. I know we met George's birth mother many seasons ago but I don't think we ever heard about her again. And I don't remember how George met his birth father. Did they bring Dorothy back in to face justice or did they have to abandon her in their hurry to get away? It seems so much of the action takes place in the dark and I miss what is going on. At least we have George back with us now for the rest of the season. The other mystery was not bad but was pretty much just filler. I was concerned for the 'widow' and her children though. How are they going to live now? There was not much in the way of social services back then. Go Lions!
  19. I didn't even realize that was a different actress playing younger Eliza. She looked so much like Eliza that I thought they had just done a great job with the makeup on Kate Phillips. Anyhow, I enjoyed the episode even if it was just filler.
  20. Broccoli salad good. Since I got 0/5 I'll bring donut holes to be washed down with @ams1001's cocoa and tea.
  21. Me too. It was wrong but at least Paul Robeson did play Porgy. And there was a murder committed in Porgy and Bess although not committed by Porgy. I was distracted during most of Jeopardy round by a cat who needed attention and I missed a lot of DJ too. My only ts's were hard hat and halftrack, helped partly by remembering General Halftrack in the Beetle Bailey comic strip.
  22. Season 17, Ep 11 - A Heavy Event Jan. 8 2024 Kilts, bagpipes, and a stabbing. Murdoch and Brackenreid solve the murder. Season 17, Ep. 12 - Wheel of Bad Fortune Jan. 15 2024 I have long had an interest in the occult (although not enough to actually go to a psychic fair) so I found last night's episode to be very interesting. Another sad story where the victim deserved what he got (even though he was trying to make up for his crimes) and the perpetrator was the real victim. The woman con artist was really awful, both for her criminal acts and for abandoning the boy. Poor Margaret! What a terrible scene that was shown in the fireplace. I'm not sure what year MM is in this season but it must be getting fairly near the start of WWI.
  23. No, it would not cure it and most likely make it worse. Alcohol may make you go to sleep but it doesn't keep you asleep. Here is a good article about it: Alcohol and sleep
