I am glad to see the back of lulu. I had really come to dislike her, especially since last week when she pushed her dish forward instead of Egypt's and then she didn't even get a point. Egypt was so hesitant to even name Kyle as a potential candidate for elimination and he made it clear that it was the first time Kyle had done anything wrong.

I didn't notice the ticket but I do know Murdoch is going to London to visit his family. That is the extent of my knowledge. Julia is supposed to be in the 300th episode so I guess that is when he'll go but I don't know what episode number of this season it will be. Susannah is their daughter's name.

Yes, you had right country and right city, just the wrong answer. It was my answer too because somehow I missed they were asking for the city. But I feel a little less stupid since it was at least in the right city.

The way the judges were talking at the end I thought Lisa was going home so I was surprised that Shane went home. But, I agree, the right person went home and Lisa will probably be next unless she steps it up. I am enjoying this competition and find the cheftestants to be a very likeable group.

Season 18 Ep. 06 The Murdoch Link Nov. 18 2024 I wasn't feeling all that well on Monday so didn't follow the story as well as I should have. I was really put off by the thought of a rare ancient skull (plus another one) being found near Toronto - I know we Canadians like to have a connection to everything but that was a bit much. And I like Ted Atherton but his character annoys. What I really did like was Higgigns stepping up to Tucker and forcing him to confess to the inspector. I really do like when Higgins isn't playing the buffoon. I suspect the inspector fired Tucker so he can go undercover in the gang but that is totally speculation on my part.

I too am suffering from the dreaded cold virus, first one in years. Last time I thought I had a cold it turned out to be covid. So I will send lots of chicken soup to my fellow sufferers and anyone else who just likes chicken soup.

Yeah, those contestants really get in the way sometimes😆 Re FJ, my first thought was loch as in Loch Lomond but that didn't sound right. Then I thought of highland(s) and figured it was at least a good guess with Robbie Burns being the poet and mountains in the clue. I have heard the poem before but it was buried very deeply in my mental filing cabinet.

I agree with your opinion about Shane. I do like all the chefs in this competition but probably Shane the least. I am going with Haan for the win.

Season 18 Ep. 05 A Starlet is Born Nov. 11 2024 It was good to see Ruthie again but that was enough to last for quite a while. She was very good in the part of Agnes. I'm glad she and Henry still love each other so much. Theirs was one of my favourite romances on the show. Still, the show feels empty with so many regulars gone and familiar background characters no longer showing up - for example, at the stationhouse we don't see the desk sergeant any more and what used to be recurring constables not around. But I guess after so many years, on tv and in real life, things and people are bound to change.

Good episode. I like both Chanty and Christina so was sorry they were both in the bottom three. But I think the right person was sent home.

Ruth is supposed to be in tonight's episode.

Nobody has mentioned Ken's joke at the end of DJ last Tuesday when their last category was Mary, Queen of Scots. They got the second last clue in the category, the answer being Executioner, then the game ran out of time. Ken says (probably not quite word for word) "We won't have time to finish off Mary, Queen of Scots but her executioner did." I thought that was very funny.

I'm glad they sent Miriam home instead of Shane even if the judges liked her dish better. She did not meet the challenge and was then full of excuses about why she didn't make 225 plates. I thought she was kind of contemptuous toward the judges and Top Chef Canada. I wish I could have tasted Moira's lamb dish.

I couldn't believe that, not one, but two contestants came up with a movie that was set in Wales when the clue clearly stated an event in the Pacific. Like @BrowncoatI also thought first of Krakatoa: East of Java but changed to Mutiny on the Bounty in good time.

I'm glad to see a few comments about Last Bite Hotel. I really enjoyed it.
