Oh, brother! I’m having some “stomach ailments” just reading, “About Elizabeth” on that http://www.nogii.com/about/link.

What's actually more interesting to me is the carefully worded FAQ:

Q: What is Elisabeth Hasselbecks involvement with NoGii?

A: Elisabeth Hasselbeck is both the creator and brand owner of NoGii. The creation of the NoGii brand has been a total passion project for Elisabeth, from being involved with the original logo and packaging design to product formulations. With her family and friends as a focus group, the NoGii brand of nutrition bars and protein powders has been formulated for the entire family.

It sounds like she came up with the idea, branded, and was "involved"  with the original logo and product. (I'm sure TPTB tweaked the hell out of it).  So she owns the brand but some other entity has the rights to the products and creates and produces them.  Her family and friends try out the flavors as part of a focus group (complete with Americana napkins, no doubt).  It doesn't even say that the focus group's input means anything.

I wonder how much income a person receives selling their name to a company that was probably going to make the bars anyway; just needed a celebrity endorsement.  I had to laugh that this was actually a frequently asked question on their website.

I think it's a good amount because this happens over and over with the Real Housewives  and if there is anything those women like more than fame it's more money.  Some company approaches them to put their name on the product and of course promote the hell out it.  Books, cookbooks, wine, hair products, shapewear, more wine, vodka, even diamonds, lol.   Some of it works and some doesn't but  I've seen cookbooks do really well, and wine too.  They promote it on their blogs, all social media, the show, etc.   Like everything else, the money is in the merchandise.

Yeah, I'd guess what's going on here is that she has no real ownership in the company, she either gets a licensing fee or a flat fee for endorsing it. It's like how a lot of people think that Jessica Simpson is a zillionaire because "her" clothing/shoes line did well. She gets a licensing fee for using herh name, and no ownership in the action.  Same for Bethenny What's-Her-Face with the "skinny margarita" nonsense.

As for that similar product being discussed on the Today show - I don't know when that piece ran, but Bits had something on her instagram on this calendar a week or so ago. So I wouldn't be *too* optimistic that she just ripped it off. But you gotta think people have discussed this before. The woman is incapable of independent thought, she's not going to start now.

That makes sense about the licensing mumbles

That piece I linked  from The Today show was dated mid- November but even that wasn't a brand new idea, just a report on how it went for that writer.  Bitsy has a history and reputation for being uh, disingenuous at best and a liar at worst.   Maybe she did this last year, maybe not.  But in considering the source, I'd say this year was the first year.

how good is a "good deed" when you let people know you're doing it?

Funny you should bring that up. Elisabeth, who proclaims to be such a Christian icon, might not have been paying a lot of attention to a little thing called The Sermon on the Mount.

Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others."

I'm really not here to thump a Bible or proselytize. I just find it kind of amazing how twisted some radical Christians are when confronted by the words and actions of the Dude himself. As far as I know, Elisabeth is all about "sounding the trumpet" and not so much about "give to the needy." In other words, all sizzle, no steak.

Anyone know when Bitsy's last day is on F&F?

Remember how she got about a 30 second goodbye on The View? Can't imagine her ad nauseam goodbye speech this time!

She announced it the week of Thanksgiving (ironic?), and said "in about  a  month". So, I guess right before Christmas?

I don't know but I think someone somewhere should throw a parade on that day.

Dear Sherri, If you are scheduled to do stand up and announce days ahead of time that ladies will get in free that night, it is NOT worthy of an announcement that your show was sold out.

IMO, of course!

I've been catching Meredith now that I'm on vacay, and man, this is totally what The View should be. I know she's ripping off The View with her "What's hot now," but if we could get that kind of discussion on The View, that would be great. Meredith is a fantastic moderator - I had forgotten how much so.

I'm wondering if the 10 most fascinating people should be retired. Who really is fascinating now in the entertainment world? Babs has her views, but it doesn't jive with people it seems.

I completely forgot to check Bitsy's F&F last day. Anyone watch?

In my mind, I see Bitsy showing up for work on her last day and her card key doesn't work.  She can't get into the  building and no one at Faux will take her calls, LOL.

Serious question: does Elizabeth actually have fans who would follow her to her own show?

I was amazed reading the comment section somewhere like the US or People website about how many people are actually big fans of hers and sorry to see her go.  Now, as an atheist left winger ;) I don't make it a habit of going to sites like US or People, but, I clicked on something on FB to read about her departure and there you have it.  Can someone please explain to me why Bitsy and the Duggars have so many fans on these websites?

As for Bitsy's fans, there are a fair amount of people who buy into her Christian Patriot act. They hate Obama and lib'ruls and love the lip service she gives about the military (without asking why neither she nor her husband or anyone in their immediate families troubled themselves to enlist.

Look at the comments on her Instagrams. There were a few people who thought it was just great that she was reading Huckabee's Christmas book to a group of kids. Those are her peeps.

That said, I bet her fanbase will fall in love with Anna Kooiman or whoever replaces her and in a few months will wonder, Elisabeth who?

Anyone watch to see if Bitsy mentioned when her last day really is?

Her pic is still on the F&F and no mention of her last day loomig. Just get her off my TV (even though I've never watched her on Fox).

Hey, Kids...RUN, DUCK, HIDE - Your MUTHA's home, like it or not!  Bitsy is toast at F&F.

Have to say, they gave her quite a send-off - special Trump/Christie comments, hugs, kisses, tears, filmed memories and gifts - Pajamas for all, so the Hasselbeck clan can watch F&F in comfort!

Buh-bye...

Good morning to us all!     I was editing my Facebook to unfollow Sherri Shepherd's site and clicked on it to do so.   Ha! There are a few snarky articles/links about Bitsy leaving F&F.  Made my morrning.   Bye Felicia!

My favorite moment of the Bitsy sendoff was her tearful tribute to her colleagues: "You put country first. You put military first." Because that's the goal of a news program.

She also tearfully thanked the most wonderful man in media, Roger Ailes, for the gig and for his guidance in making this difficult decision. They are really letting her spin that "this was my decision" angle.

And a few remarks about this being the best team she's ever worked with - a swipe at her previous gig, without which she would have never gotten that gig.

I watched most of that dreck this morning.  All the theatrics about leaving a job makes me cringe.  All that boo-hooing and retrospective material….are we talking about the same dumb evangelical weirdo from Survivor?  She had three sentences she kept repeating for two hours.

And the other two morons, omg….how can anyone watch that everyday?  Gotta say, I like how Chris Christie didn't kiss Doocy's ass about whether Hilary should apologize to Trump.  Christie blew him off and said nobody cares about trivial bullshit like that except certain people on 6th Avenue (where Fox is located).  Burn.

Haha! Despite his politcs, I often find myself enjoying Christie.  One point for you Chris!

I just re-read this.  Did you refer to Fox & Friends as a news program  :)

I really don't know how to classify it.  A gathering of angry, negative dummies?

I'm not the op but that's exactly how F&F refers to itself:  a morning news program.  LOLOLOL

If you're on facebook, watch the video the Fox & Friends producers posted about Bitsy. It's kinda weird. I can't tell if they like her or not.

I know!   I confess to watching this strange montage tribute but allt he examples of how great she was were super lame and the clips of her looked like embarrasing blooper reels. Either they really don't like her or they suck at tributes.

The people are telling stories about how great she was to work with but they all fall short.  One writer "will never forget" how she [the writer] was embarrassed by being called out by some guest office efficiency guy  for having a Pop Tart at her desk and later Bitsy told her it was okay, she buys Pop Tarts for her kids.  Really?  That's the most flattering story she had about Elisabeth after three years?  Hahahahaha  Someone else was impressed she learned everyone's name.   I guess the bar is pretty low over at Faux News.

But the best part is a little boy whose wish to be a UPS driver was granted on set with a toy UPS truck.  When Elisabeth tried to play and get into the truck with him he clearly told her, "Don't get in here!"  LOL  I wish I could get that on a gif.    Oh, Bitsy, even kids don't like you.

ETA:  Here it is.  Enjoy!

It seems that the only thing the show's staff thinks she could do well was physical stuff like obstacle courses or bowling. For other shows you'd include key interview moments. Other than a few seconds of her screeching at Josh Earnest about "my president" they really had nothing to offer.

They probably liked her fine. I think she's savvy enough not to be a diva on the set. That said she was certainly more weepy this morning than the rest of the cast and crew.

I forgot again, that it was Bitsy's last day.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3370592/Elisabeth-Hasselbeck-t-hold-tears-final-appearance-Fox-Friends-hosts-honor-touching-tribute-video.htm

So she can feed the kids  Pop Tarts but has to quit to make breakfast?

A particularly touching anecdote came from Kelly, a writer on the show who revealed that one morning, she didn't have time to eat breakfast so she got a Pop Tart from the office vending machine.

But just moments later, producers told the writers they were going to be on air, and a work place consultant came in and scolded Kelly for having the snack at her desk, telling her to go down to the lobby to eat it.

Kelly revealed that afterwards, Elisabeth came up to her and said: 'I just got Pop Tarts for my kids, it's OK. Sometimes you're in a hurry, and there's nothing that you can do.'

'She made me feel way better,' shared Kelly, who then proceeded to enjoy a Pop Tart in honor of Elisabeth.

Classic "word salad" Bitsy -

Bitsy to Trump:

"I want to ask in fairness because on the heels of Hillary Clinton (and her claim about videos of Trump being used for ISIS recruitment) -- everyone agrees, and it's why she has problems in the polls with trust, that she has an issue with the truth, she's downright allergic to the truth. But PolitiFact also came out and said that you have the biggest lies and the most lies of the year. What's your response to them today for that?"

May I ask all of you to join me in a Schadenfreude dance? You must skip around in a circle, bringing your knees up high, and wave your hands, palms open facing away from you in a back and forth windshield wiper motion, as you prance and dance and smirk in celebration.

My handbasket to hell awaits me.
