There is no way that Kim gets more than $200 - $250 K per season of the HWs. She is not a central HW by any stretch of the imagination. LOL Also, that $23K a month from Davis has never been proven beyond the rumor stage so I really doubt that she is worth $500K, more like $100K, otherwise she would have never needed Kyle or Kathy to pay her bills. LOL

IMO, Kyle most likely gets between $500K - $750 a season, while LisaV gets between $750 - $1million a season but that is just a guess on my part.

IMO, neither Brandi or Yolanda make as much as Kyle and nor do I believe that Kyle makes as much as LisaV. LisaV is the only 1 that got a spin off, a full spin off and she has more power/draw with Andy because of it. Eileen's pay level has never been confirmed but if she did get a million, then LisaV is not far behind her, then comes Kyle followed by Brandi, Yolanda and LisaR , with Kim being at the bottom. JMO

Bottom line for me is, even though this is big money for 3-4 months of filming, it is not enough for me to want to make national fool of myself and most especially, embarrass my family on national TV! LOL

 When Joyce was on Kyle gave an interview and said they film for three or four months, then they are active right before the show airs, and then as it airs there are lots of appearances and then there is the Reunion so the down time gets eroded.  I could never open my life up or be friends with someone for a paycheck who called me a horrible person.

 

Kim on the other hand just films and disappears.  SO I think their individual pay is tied to many fators-Yolanda and Kim are low performers in promoting the show.

I read that on Mr Housewives. Lisa V and Kyle got pay raises. Eileen and Lisa R were paid a lot because maybe the network thought they could jack the ratings up via soap fans but the ratings stayed the same as last year. If Kim did a raise it wasnt much no way she got 500K. Brandi probably got a bonus because she brings the drama. Plus she got that Rover, typical Bravo.

In a sense, being on the show is a lot like selling your soul, isn't it?  You reveal not only your personality, but your home life, your social life to some extent, your home(s), your children and how well behaved they are, how much you make, how successful your husband is, your beliefs, your sex life, your ailments, and on and on.  I couldn't do it.  I wouldn't WANT to do it!  The money is nice, but everywhere you go, people stare at you, knowing more about you than you ever imagined they would.  However much you make, I'd say you earn it because you give up so much.  The wild thing to me is that some of them don't even need the money.

And everyone goes on these shows thinking that people will think well of them after they see the show, and so often this is beyond the person's control, or they don't really know themselves. I would never go on one of these shows either, but part of me also believes myself to be likable and sympathetic. The difference is that I don't think that is necessarily how I would come across. Not only do I have my blind spots to my own faults but I have no control over what they would show or how they would show it, let alone what other cast members would say or do. (Not that I have any offers for any shows.)

Thats why I cant feel that sorry for Kim because had my sister put out I was an alcoholic on national tv I been through with it. But she got suck into the fans sympathizing for her and probably liked how her fans (old and new) were attacking her sister. She probably never expected the tide would turn on her and call her out for her lies and lack of accountability.

I agree with LvP that if you have secrets - a bankruptcy, an arrest a long ago publicized affair, an addiction you should not go on a reality show if you don't want it discussed.  I NEVER agreed with LvP over Brandi outing the surrogacy issue.  That was a medical choice and was not really a character issue.  Of course if someone is delaying telling their children about their gestational carrier they would fib about it on camera or to Brandi the big mouth.

 

Eileen and Vince's long ago relationship was none of Brandi's business to bring up - I know she doesn't to start stuff but in reality no one would continue to be friends or even speak to someone who not only brought it up but threw wine in their face.

 

I agree with you - Kim deserves zero sympathy and I hope this latest round of rehab has Kim apologizing to Kyle for creating such a ruckus for "exposing" her addictions.  No one ever said to Kim Season 1-I hear you have been a drunk the last 20 years and blew through enough cocaine to finance a small country. They commented on her behavior in front of them.  Not really a secret.

Go away for a couple of weeks to do a favor for a friend in need and a dream comes true! Kimmie being gone gives me the desire to watch the next season of this show.  But, if the Resnick pitbull is added to the cast, that would be my absolute, definite deal breaker - I just don't want to waste my brainless entertainment time on stuff that causes me nothing but aggravation - plus, I'm NOT a kyle fan at all, and the introduction of pitbull to do kyle's dirty work again as in whatever the hell season it was, was a real stomach turner...I don't give a rat's hind end about whose friend she was or was not and can even chalk up her trading in on the death of a friend as the pitiful, opportunistic activities of someone who has precious little else going for her...but her behavior on BH was NOT what I watch these shows for...I want the house porn, clothes porn, party porn, with a tad of shallow, harmless drama tossed in to keep it spicy...I don't want deep, dark, dirty druggies, sex addicts, or smirking overblown egos hell bent on preserving the entitlements they fantasize they deserve for a few hours worth of d grade entertainment. Probably why I like LisaV, Eileen, LisaR , Camille and Joyce and could easily do without Brandi, Kim, Kyle and even Yo (although Yo is so MUCH more entertaining with My love and her house and fridge and her not quite in touch with 21st century real reality - she is, imnsho, pretty much sweetly harmless to those who have enough brains to think for themselves)  I guess they have me hooked through at least the first episode or so....but if pitbull shows up on the promos holding that diamond, I'm gone just like OC and NJ and ATL.

I've only seen references to pitbull and speculation about the possible addition of her to the cast.  I have no idea if Bravo, TPTB are considering her or anyone else as new HWs...

 

It's just that I was so totally turned off by pitbull's behavior during the episodes in previous season/s in which she appeared and spewed her so obviously (to me, at least) kyle-driven venom that I simply could not stomach the prospect of having to deal with her on a regular basis in order to watch a silly TV show...

 

...if I have to spend my viewing time being vigilant of a particular person's appearance so I can put my attention elsewhere (no DVR here), it's simply more effort that I am willing to invest...

 

...If it comes to pass that I have so many objections to cast members that I can't see past wasting my time on the show, I'll probably just follow these forums - which are so full of intelligent and witty poster's that I would dearly miss it (and really, how totally fucked up is it that the forum is more enjoyable to me than the show on which it is based?)

 

I totally agree about the additions of LisaR and Eileen as being good...I thoroughly enjoyed both of them, although on balance, I prefer Eileen's cool, intelligent, no-non-sense approach (OK, the WHOLE Susan, baby Elvis thing on Days was a BIT much, but, notwithstanding) over LisaR's emotionalism (well-intentioned in the defense of hubby, home, and hearth as it were - and I LOVED her as DAY'S Billy with RKK's Beau - WHAT A SHAME to get rid of those two particular pieces of eye-candy!) yet, as a former Days (plus diehard AW fan from the very first episode to the final, totally heartbreaking death of the show- or in my late mother's words 'my story' - and I won't even go into the disgustingly commercially motivated ever-so-brief inclusion of AW characters in ATWT - which, for that and other Stewart character sins, richly deserved the whimpering end it received) and current (albeit sporadic Y&R  viewer- can't STAND Victor) viewer,  I DO love the inclusion of BOTH of them in RHBH.

 

I think, at this point, I need more food and less wine....

 

Anyhow, after that confusing diatribe....YAY Eileen, YAY LisaR...continuing YAY LisaV, (with or without VPR - SUCH a silly show!)

I don't know, but there's a miniseries/one season drama coming out about the OJ trial, and Connie Britten is playing Faye.  I about choked when I heard that.  It is going to be big, with Travolta playing Robert Shapiro and David Schwimmer playing Robert Kardashian.  Cuba Gooding Jr is OJ.

 

 

I can definitely see Andy wanting the REAL Faye wrapped up tight in full housewife mode for maximum cross promotion.
