But that second story has taken another (even more stupid) turn. I'm with MiaMama in thinking that Ravi was behind this, and I believe he may have had an accomplice in this too: Helen. Didn't Jack fire her after she was exposed as the mysterious "visitor" to Victor's hospital room who also was his mistress? Ravi's beef was with Jack and his "blood Abbott" clause and his treatment of Ashley that resulted in her leaving Jabot. The two of them would certainly have the skill sets required to pull off a scam of this nature. He had the IT skills and she the chemistry expertise. But the B) part of Granderobino's post I don't believe. JT's dead. I'm convinced of this and whether it was Nikki's blow to the head with the fireplace poker did that or he died from some kind of massive cardiac event simultaneously, he couldn't have crawled out of that construction dig. bannana May 17, 2018 Share May 17, 2018 It seems to be the same day in GC. And what a day, with Hevon, Philly and Shick, it was tough to watch. Shick are in bed after sexy times discussing their new relationship and complimenting each other on new skills they developed since their earlier relationship. Nick says they are friends with benefits, and Sharon replies, with giant benefits. Hah! Phyllis calls Drinki at the GCAC and Drinki tells her she doesn’t have much time. Phyllis tells her that Vic confessed to Paul, and promptly cuts off the call because Billy shows up, leaving a stunned Drinki on the phone. Jack is at the cabin eyeing a bottle of booze and some pills. Hevon are at HWG and she asks him about the nursery he’s adding to the penthouse and then says she is not going to pry. She is so coy. Phyllis is in CEO Billy’s office lamenting that they haven’t been able to find Jack. Billy tells her to chill. She’s concerned that he will act on his worst impulses. Jack pours a glass of booze and shakes out some pills. He goes to take a pill and stops himself. He makes a phone call to someone saying he needs help. Devon tells Hilary that he didn’t make a big deal about the nursery in case she isn’t pregnant. But he wants to be prepared. He is excited about being a father, and Hilary is pleased but says they need to manage expectations. He invites her to go to a New Hope dinner at the GCAC. She’s thrilled. Sharon almost tells Nick she loves him and then changes it to say she loves spending time like this. She says they have no food in the fridge and should order pizza. Nick suddenly remembers that tonight is the New Hope dinner for the donors. They both forgot, and they rush to get ready. Sharon says she doesn’t want to show up late and have to explain to Drinki. Philly discuss Jack’s last addiction problem and worry that he may succumb again. Neil arrives at the cabin, telling Jack he got there as soon as he could. I think this must be a weird and difficult storyline for KSJ to play, given his own recent mental health issues. Sharon and Nick are dressed up and Nick helps her with her dress. He asks if it is new. It reminds him of the Polynesian Paradise dance when they were in college, and they were crowned king and queen. He tells her she is as gorgeous as ever, maybe more. She is moved. He apologizes for breaking the FWB rule, and says they are going to have to be very careful tonight. Billy tells Phyllis that he has to go to the New Hope dinner, in Jack’s place. She is not thrilled and speculates that Prick will be there, but Billy says he won’t be. She wants to skip the dinner and he reminds her that she is part of the reason he is now CEO. He says he doesn’t know how long it is going to take to get rid of the BAC, and he says people are counting on him to keep the ship afloat in the meantime. Really, Billy? Just call a Board meeting with zero notice like Kyle and Ashley like to do. He tells Phyllis he needs her beauty and charm at the dinner, and says her two new besties, Sharon and Drinki, will be there. Neil assures Jack that he didn’t tell anyone about his call or where he is. He asks about Jack’s face and he tells Neil about the accident. He says no one else was hurt. Neil sees the bottle, and presumes that Jack was drunk driving. He tells him that he is glad that he called him and that he is going to help him. Neil tends to Jack’s wounds. Neil sees the pills and asks Jack how many he has had. Jack says zero. He encourages Jack to go for a walk. Jack thinks he wants to throw out the pills, but Neil says why bother, Jack can get some more if he wants. Jack says it was a mistake to call Neil. Neil tells Jack that popping the pills will not help and that he called Neil because he needs someone to remind him of everything he has to lose. Jack says he already lost the most important thing, the person that he was. At the GCAC, Hevon arrive and Drinki greets them. She thanks Hil for having Nick on her show to talk about the attack on Prick. Hilary says that hopefully the reward money will jog someone’s memory and give them some closure. Drinki says that they will be happy to have that debacle behind them. Drinki is ice cold, not a smidge of guilt about JT. Drinki flits off to greet potential repeat donors, Jane Iverson and Lawrence Bundy. She is an holistic pet food heiress, and he is a financial analyst. Shick arrive. Drinki tells them they are right on time and they both look fab. Drinki then takes Nick aside to point out the gorgeous Jane, and suggests he hit her up for another donation and also notes that she is single. Drinki introduces them and tells Nick to tell her about New Hope. They are chatting away, while Sharon meets Jane’s date, Lawrence. He asks her how she is connected to New Hope and, as Sharon explains, she keeps getting distracted by Nick conversing with Jane, and her eyes turn green. Jack talks about family, about his father, about the legacy he created. Jack was always so proud to be John Abbott Jr. He always had that to hold onto, no matter the challenges he faced. He has now lost his identity. Neil assures him that he is still Jack Abbott. The same Jack Abbott that dragged Neil’s drunk almost dead ass out of a dirty motel. And the same one who created a foundation that changes people’s lives. He tells him that it is not true that everything he believed in is destroyed. At dinner, Nick continues chatting up Jane, as Sharon looks on jealously. Hilary tells Devon how pleased she is about how excited he is for the baby. She whines that she hopes it is not all for nothing, and Devon tells her that he knows in his heart that this will happen, they will be raising a child together. Lawrence asks Sharon about her comment that Drinki is her ex-mother-in-law. Phyllis butts in and says that Sharon is very single and that she is a hedge fund groupie. She tells him that financial wizardry makes her cray cray. Devon asks Lawrence about his hedge fund. While they talk, Sharon whispers to Phyllis that she is the only cray cray one there. Phyllis says she is her wing woman and tells her to get in on that. She says he is cute, wealthy, into neurotic blondes, and he is not Nick. Sharon tells her to hit the bleach and go for it, because she is not interested. Phyllis tells her she should be, and that Lawrence would take her on one of his world tours. Then Sharon would be in Tasmania and Phyllis wouldn’t have to worry about those pretty loose cannon lips. Who is the one with loose lips, Phyllis? Sharon glares at Phyllis. Drinki catches her eye and Phyllis says they need to step away from dinner for a quick confab. The trio moves over to the foyer. Phyllis says they need to talk about what Vic told Paul. Sharon asks if Christine decided to press charges, and Drinki says no, they are lucky. Phyllis is pissed that Vic confessed without warning them, and Drinki says she told them as soon as she could. She explained that Paul took her by surprise and backed her into a corner. And he had all of the texts that JT sent that night, and Drinki says sarcastically that was rather odd since they took steps to ensure that phone was never seen again. Sharon asks just how hard it is to demolish a cellphone, saying Faith’s friends do it all the time without even trying. Drinki snarks it was low tech to throw it in a trash can. Phyllis wants to explain but Sharon tells her not to bother. Sharon thinks that Vic has done something plausible by making it appear that she has given Paul something so his attention is not on them. Phyllis is freaking out about the inconsistencies in their stories and says they are lucky he didn’t haul them in for more questioning. Phyllis says they have to watch what they say to anybody, they have to be extra careful, because she says there is more on the way. Then why are the three of them in an obviously heated conversation in full view of everyone? Back at the dinner table Nick and Sharon look longingly at each other. Lawrence puts his arm around Sharon’s chair, and Nick jumps up and thanks everyone and says he has to go, his children are expecting him. Sharon starts to correct him and he interrupts her and says he promised the nanny. She catches on and says she will go with, that Faith is expecting her. Phyllis grills Hilary about her and Devon and she gleefully tells her about the nursery and that Devon is all in re the baby. Phyllis says it is a great sign for the two of them. Drinki thanks Billy for coming and tells him about the phone call from Jack. Hilary walks up and says she is worried about Jack too. Billy says hopefully he just wanted some down time. Billy then tells Phyllis that everyone is worried about Jack, and she says they are not going to be able to keep it secret much longer that Billy is running the company. He says when Jack resurfaces and finds out that the Board elected him CEO, it is going to make things even more complicated. At the cabin, Neil is trying to talk Jack down. Jack says he has heard it all many times. I agree, Jack, I am getting sick of this, too. Neil says someone revealed the info deliberately, doesn’t Jack want to find out who it was? Jack says it doesn’t matter because it is all true. And he cannot run the company that means everything to him. Neil tells him the BAC was thrown into the bylaws, it can just as easily be thrown out. He tells him to focus on that. Jack rages that there is nothing underneath him, no foundation. He says it is a yawning, gaping hole. He knew who he was, what he was connected to. He grabs the pills and says that Neil says they won’t fix it, but then what will. Neil tells him to deal him in on the pills. He says if Jack is going down that road he is going down with him. At home, Nick asks Sharon about Lawrence, and she tells him she is not interested. Sharon says she made a good impression on the holistic cat food girl. She says that Jane was hanging on his every word and almost hanging out of that dress. He says he didn’t notice, it was all just for New Hope and his mom orchestrated the whole thing. He says he is not interested in dating anymore. She says she is happy to hear that because it would make their FWB arrangement uncomfortable. He says he is already uncomfortable and suggests that they just cut it off. Sharon tells Nick that she thought he liked the FWB arrangement. He says that is the problem, she is all he thinks about. It drove him crazy seeing her talking to that guy. He wanted it to be him. He says it cannot just be sex, they have too much history and feelings. He says he wants all or nothing and she confesses she feels the same way, she wants all of it, and they start passionately kissing. Jack tells Neil he won’t let him break his sobriety. Neil says they can high together or go for a walk or chop some wood. Jack tells him to leave. Neil tells Jack he has it better than most people. Jack tells him again to go, before he starts popping those pills and proves him wrong. Neil says he will go and tells him to believe in himself and that he is his friend and he is there for him no matter what. Jack is still a mess. Hil tells Devon what a great time she had and thanks him for being so positive about the baby. He says that is how they are going to raise the baby, positive and full of hope. They look like they are going to kiss, and Phyllis barges in and suggests they hit the local club and dance up a storm. Hil likes the idea, but Billy says he cannot, he has to focus on work tomorrow. So, they leave and Devon suggests to Hilary that they go to the club and she says she would love that. Drinki, angrily, to Sharon: Don’t tell me the two of you are back together again, and Sharon replies that is exactly what she was going to tell her. Abby to Arturo, outside a change room: Hurry and strip down, those pleats offend my eyes. Devon and Hilary at GC Buzz, music is playing and it looks like they are going to dance again. Jack is still at the cabin, drinking, and miserable and it cuts to Dina saying: I never told you who Jackie’s real father is, it’s time for the truth to come out. Not sure if that was part of the original video or if this is a new convo. 11 Link to comment
NinjaPenguins May 17, 2018 Share May 17, 2018 Please show, stop pretending that Phyllis and Billy give two shits about Jack. If they did, there would be no Philly. And stop acting like Billy being named CEO is some amazing secret that will rock the international markets to their cores. Repellent titgobs being placed in charge of something barely rates a second glance these days. I wish Nikki would just fuck off when it comes to Shick. Like Nick is too good for Sharon? A man so challenged by the zippered fly that his junk looks like a tiger’s scratching post? At least Sharon can wear open-toed sandals in public without her fellow citizens fleeing in terror. 16 Link to comment

Mayhaps Sharon should remember that history-- as in every time they get to the altar, after Nick has declared his undying love no matter what she has done, a dramatic reveal of her past transgressions comes to light (reference Phyl breaking up the last wedding with her march from Atlanta). Now, we all know that the JT debacle and Sharon's part in it will be exposed when Paulie shows up at the nuptials to arrest her. And Dick will look angered and disgusted at the same time. [quite a feat for him-emmy reel?] And he will call off the whole thing and whine to Drinnki and the Prince of Darkness that he just doesn't know why he trusts Sharon...ever. Oh, and he will demand full custody of Faith. Edited May 18, 2018 by MollyB syntax is a real work 12 Link to comment

bannana May 18, 2018 Share May 18, 2018 It is a new, painfully boring day in GC. Mariah has just attempted to start her car with no luck, so she goes back into her house looking for help and finds Shick in bed and is horrified. Billy and Ash are in his new office at Jabot. They both couldn’t sleep because they were fretting about Jack. Billy stayed awake because he thinks he sucks as a brother. Ash called Paul, and Jack hasn’t used his credit card. She says they know he was at the cabin, and Billy says, for a minute. Billy has checked all the hospitals and the morgue. Ash says again how she knows better than anyone what Jack is going through and the dark places it leads to. Dina is in her living room being interviewed, talking about Jack not being John’s son. She says that is only half the story and then says it is time for the truth to come out. Jack’s real father is Pricktor Newman. Well, it was just a nightmare that Jack was having and he awakens with a start on the sofa in the cabin. I confess, I can barely type the drivel that is known as a storyline for Hevon these days. AT HWG, Hilary has now decided to provide input into Devon’s nursery design. He likes the design. He suggests she move out of the GCAC to a more nurturing environment. After more of the verbal dance they so love, they agree she should move into his building, as close as possible. She cannot figure out what is going on with him. He says he likes to keep her guessing. Shauna arrives for her meeting with Hilary, and they learn she is not going to prom. Hil tells Devon it is probably because the guy she wants to go with hasn’t asked her yet, saying some guys take too long. Mariah is on the phone with the auto club desperate to get her car jumped so she can get out of the house. Shick come into the living room dressed in a robe and pj’s. They want to talk to her but she wants to get the hell out of there. Ash and Billy are exhausted and think they may be overreacting. Billy says Jack is probably at a luxury spa right now. Billy says he knows Jack’s head games, and that he is going to walk in there refreshed and ready to do business. Billy wants to make an official statement re Jack’s absence, saying he is on a sabbatical. Ash insists that Jack cannot find out that Billy is CEO from the news. Neil arrives and tells them he saw Jack at the cabin, and it is not good. Jack is drinking terrible coffee, with a bourbon chaser. He looks like shit. After polishing off a few more drinks he sees Dina in a lovely white suit. She is there to harangue him about his unclassy behaviour. She tells him he is nothing like John, who was kind, decent and respectable. Jack is a drunken, foul-mouthed loser, just like his real father. Jack yells: Stop! and covers his ears and when he looks up again Dina is not there. Jack then eyes the bottle of pills. Neil tells Ash and Billy about Jack’s accident and that he was presumably drunk. He says he is okay, and that he had his car towed to a garage. They thank him, but when they learn that Neil left him at the cabin with pills and booze, they get very angry with Neil. Sharon and Nick explain to Mariah how they ended up back together, after just being housemates. They explain they were watching an old romantic movie and got caught up in it and ended up boinking. Mariah remarks that it really doesn’t take a lot for the two of them to end up in bed. Hah! Mariah was the only good thing about today’s episode. They explain the whole FWB decision, and how that didn’t last and Mariah says she really wishes they hadn’t said FWB. Mariah then tells them she is not shocked or upset, the only surprise is that the two of them held out for so long. She says it is not her business, they are adults. Mariah admits that Sharon always ends up hurt. They assure her this time it will be different. She says: you guys just had ‘everybody’s left the house so let’s sneak around sex’ so I don’t think you are in the best frame of mind to speak objectively about your relationship. Nick says he doesn’t want Sharon to get hurt either, and Mariah snarks that she feels so much better. Then there is a horn honking, and Mariah is saved by the Auto Club. Mariah tells them they need to answer one question. How is it going to be different this time? Mariah arrives at HWG and tells Hilary that their mystery writer guest for tomorrow’s show has cancelled, so Mariah and Hil put their heads together to come up with another guest. Meanwhile Shawna tells Devon that since he and Hil are having a baby and he is into her, they should just be together. He says he was into her but it didn’t work out. Sharon is flustered and serves Nick burnt toast and OJ in a coffee cup (seriously, what is wrong with that breakfast?!). He misbuttons his shirt. He suggests sexy times the sequel and she says they need to talk about what Mariah said. Jack has spilled the pills onto the coffee table, and the phone is ringing. Billy is calling the landline, but Jack doesn’t answer. Billy goes off on Neil for leaving Jack like that. Neil explains that you cannot stop an addict. Billy says when he was an addict, Jack stopped him from ruining his life. Billy and Ash rush off to save Jack. Mariah suggests an episode about evil doppelgangers and then concedes that nobody would buy it, it’s not believable. Oh, Mal. Shawna says she is going to head to CL and Hil says she will meet her there later. Charlie shows up as Shawna is leaving and they reintroduce themselves and he says she is hard to forget. She tells him that was corny. Devon plays matchmaker with no success. Sharon asks, what if they are doomed to repeating the past. Nick says they are not the same people. She says she has changed and he agrees that she is strong and confident. He asks her if she is worried about going back to being the old Sharon, and she says, a person who didn’t care who got hurt, no matter what she wanted, saying that she will never be that person again. I don’t remember Sharon like that. Pathetic, yes, but devious, no. They talk about Cassie’s death and how badly Nick hurt Sharon, he says he was a jerk, that he turned to Phyllis instead of Sharon. That he was so harsh, and he will never forgive himself for that. Wait, what? Is the first real acknowledgement of what an asshole he was? He says he is not the same guy. Sharon says that is it, they are different after everything that has happened to them, the good and the bad. More talk about Cassie and how the anniversary is coming up. Nick says this year they will honour her memory together. Mariah is on the phone still trying to get a guest with no luck. Same with Hilary. Mariah leaves to go to the studio. Hilary continues on her phone calls, with Devon trying to get a second of her time. Presumably he has a solution but she doesn’t hear him. Then she rushes off to CL to meet Shawna. Nick comes in from the kitchen with a proper breakfast plus what looks like a breakfast burrito for him, which Sharon says is no way to start the day. What? They talk about Mariah, and Nick says he never thinks she reminds him of Cassie, but today she did with how fiercely loyal she was to Sharon. He says no one could ever replace Cassie. Wait, are they foreshadowing a Cassie return, or an evil triplet? Then Sharon tells Nick she would never try to replace Sage in Christian’s life. He says he is not worried, he wants her to love him and be a mom to him. She starts to cry and they kiss. I am guessing breakfast will have to wait. Ash and Billy arrive at the cabin but Jack is gone. The find the word NO written using the pills. That seems like a good sign to me but Billy says he has a feeling it’s not good. At CL, Hil is still on the phone trying to get a guest when Devon arrives. She tells him that Shawna just left. She tells Devon that the boy she was hoping would invite her to the prom asked someone else. He says that is too bad. He asks about tomorrow’s show and she say she has had no luck. He says he can help her and Shawna at the same time. He says he likes solving problems for her. I say I give no fucks about these two or Shawna at all. Ash and Billy arrive at the Abbott manse, and Ash is on the phone with Paul, filling him in. He lets her know that there was a transaction on Jack’s credit card for a car service. Billy says that explains how he left but not where he is. Ash, frustrated, calls out: Jack! where are you? Jack walks in with a cup of coffee, cool as a cucumber, and says: I am right here. She is alarmed at his face and he says it is nothing. Billy asks him when he got there, and he replies an hour ago, and that Mrs. Martinez made him a lovely meal and he was just on his way to his room to relax. Billy says Neil told them he was at the cabin, and says they were all worried about him, and Jack replies, no need. Ash asks him to sit down. Billy says they have a lot to talk about. He says, not right now, it has been an exhausting few days. He says they can pick it up tomorrow, and says, it should be an interesting day at Jabot. Jack goes upstairs. Billy and Ash are flabbergasted. 14 Link to comment

NinjaPenguins May 19, 2018 Share May 19, 2018 What was with all the stupid people worrying about Jack but basically standing around and doing nothing but running their yaps? Then his stupid siblings have the nerve to get mad at Neil, who at least tried to do something. I suppose I should give credit to Buttbiscuit for saying aloud that he’s a shit brother, but I’m not entirely certain he understands the true depths of his own fecaltude. Yeah, I just made up a word, and that word is more interesting than Hilary and Devon today. Nick needs to prove he’s changed. He can start by throwing out his jar of Herb’s toenail clippings and sucker punching Billy. Admittedly, that second item is for my satisfaction, but I think it would be a real turning point for his character. 14 Link to comment
bannana May 22, 2018 Share May 22, 2018 Okay, Preverts, this is a heads up. Show is so painfully bad and boring right now, I am not sure I will continue to do recaps. It is no fun when it is this bad. I realize that watching it is a chore now. Having said that… Today is a new day in GC. At the Abbott manse Ash is filling in Kyle on Jack’s time at the cabin. She tells him Jack showed up at home, cleaned up, and ready to get back to normal. Kyle says, unreal. Ash says, yes, it is unreal and they need to work together to help Jack. Kyle tells Ash that Jack was not in his room and must have left earlier. At Jabot, Jack walks in and sees Billy, who tells him he looks good. Billy wants to talk and Jack says they can do so in his office. As he walks in, he sees the Billy Abbott CEO sign on his door. Billy explains that the company needed to keep going, and Billy was the only one who could step in. He tells him about the emergency board meeting. At GC Buzz there is a storyline I really don’t want to recap. Hil and Devon each give Mariah a special secret item for the show. Charlie shows up and Hil tells him he will be on camera today. Ever since Sharon has gotten back together with Nick, she is wearing plaid. Not sure what the significance of that is. They talk past memories re tuna casserole. I think Sharon has a nice face, and she could do with a new hairdo a la Claire Underwood. At the Ranch, Drinki says Cook is asking what they want for dinner. Okay, maybe I am naive, but I am pretty sure that is Cook’s job, to figure out dinner. And why do all rich people call their senior employees the generic Cook? It is super disrespectful. Prick tells Drinki that it is her choice. He wants to know what is bothering Drinki and she says she is concerned about Jack. She says he is not himself. She tells him about Jack going to the cabin. She says that Jack was terse with her, and she hopes he will talk to her about whatever is going on. Prick says he is learning how to walk and talk again, and Drinki is going on about Jagabbid?! He is concerned about JT and wants to bring him to justice. Prick says whatever is happening with Jagabbid doesn’t concern him. Billy tells Jack there has been no official announcement about the change in leadership and Jack says there will be no need, because there will be no change. Billy tells Jack he has been focused on keeping all his projects on track. Jack, sitting at his old desk, thanks Billy for not putting his personal items in a box. Billy says he didn’t want the job, but because of the stupid BAC that Jack instituted, his first job as CEO was to get it overturned. Jack says, how convenient. Billy says it is complicated and that Board wouldn’t allow it. But of course, we know that is not true, because Billy could have called a Board meeting to deal with it. Billy chafes at Jack’s criticism and says he just waltzed in there and the only thing he cares about is who is in charge. Billy questions him about the bender he was just on. Billy reminds him that he spent days drowning in pills and booze, and that he drove drunk and had an accident. Billy tells him that his actions going AWOL should be the topic for discussion, not that his feelings are hurt because who is in charge. Phyllis walks in and agrees with Billy. At GC Buzz, Charlie learns from Hevon that the whole show is about proms, and prom proposals. Uninteresting snark between Mariah and Hil about their proms. Nick tells Sharon they need to decide how to tell their parents. She suggests that he tell Drinki and she tell Prick. Nick is surprised as Sharon and Drinki have been so close lately. Drinki shows up to return Faith’s portable chess set. Nick takes advantage of his mom’s appearance to rush out and let Sharon tell his mom. Drinki figures it out and is outraged that Sharon and Nick are back together. Billy tells Jack that no one could get a hold of him for days. Billy, I am pretty sure it was max, two days. Jack wants to know why he has to deal with Phyllthy. She reminds him she got him off the pills last time. Jack tells both of them to back the fuck off. Billy says he saw the state of the cabin and he has an idea what went down there. Jack pushes back on Billy and his qualifications as a doctor. Billy doesn’t relent. He tells his brother he is so far in denial he doesn’t see it, he needs to slow down and to cope. Billy tells Jack that he will set him up in an office so that everyone knows he is not going anywhere. Jack replies, that it also tells everyone he is reporting to Billy. Helpful Phyllthy reminds Jack that he established the BAC to keep her out. He rages against both of them and stomps out. He encounters Kyle in the foyer and tells him to follow him. At GC Buzz, blah blah blah Shauna, fashion show, Hilary, etc. At the Ranch, Nick tells Nosferatu that he is back with Sharon and Prick tells him that is wonderful news. At Sharon’s house, Drinki is not as happy. Sharon pushes back on Drinki and wants to know if she will support them. Drinki says that her life is in Sharon’s hands, she could go to prison if Sharon spills. She suggests that Sharon, now that she is so close to Nick, can prevent him from searching for JT. Sharon asks her how she really feels about her and Nick, and Drinki says: Isn’t it obvious, I hate it. At Jabot, Phillthy try to bring Ash up to speed, re how Jack just thought he could waltz back into his job. The three of them psychoanalyze Jack, with Phyllis being the harshest and Billy pretending to care. Ash leaves to check on Dina, and Phyllthy tells Billy that Jack is lucky to have him as his brother. At the GCAC, Kyle tells Jack how worried they were about him. Jack tells Kyle that he wishes he had taken his advice weeks ago, to get rid of the BAC. So, I guess Jack doesn’t know that Kyle knew all along that Jack was not a BA. Kyle suggests that they team up to get the BAC problem resolved. At Jabot, Phyllthy is egging on Billy, that his job should not be temporary. She urges him to be the finest CEO that Jabot has ever had. She says he is loaded with verve and creativity. She tells him he should not let people who used to be in charge take advantage of his good nature. She mentions the hard drive Ash gave him and tells him to ditch it. She tells him to come up with his own plan and vision. She says if big sister is so smart, why isn’t she CEO. She says a real leader would have figured out a way to work around the clause. She reminds him of when he bought Restless Style from her, and how amazing he was. Wait, was that Billy Miller Billy? Didn’t he hate her for the whole Lucy debacle? She says they could have fallen in love back then, they now have a do-over. Ash walks in and Billy tells her that he and Phyllthy have been talking about how to steer Jabot to be a more profitable company. Ash challenges him, asking whether he still has her hard drive of business plans and ideas. He says, yeah, and she says, that is all he needs. At the GCAC, Kyle tells Jack that Billy tried to get the BAC thrown out. Jack is skeptical. Kyle suggests that they make a move, they have Billy’s vote, because he doesn’t want to be CEO. They have Jack’s and Kyle’s votes. Jack tells Kyle that he is surprised he still has his back after how he let him have it after Dina’s movie. Kyle suggests they go back to the office so he can show him how much. At GC Buzz they are doing a fashion prom show. Then Hilary points out Devon Hamilton special guest. They show photos of Hil as prom queen, Devon as prom guy, and mocked up stupid photos of Mariah as potential prom girl. Then they bring out Shauna and do a prom-posal with Charlie and the other models. Shauna accepts and they will go to both their proms, with Hil providing any dress Shauna wants from the wardrobe. At the Ranch, Nick is amazed that Prick is okay with him and Sharon. Prick says they have been drifting apart for the last few years. He says he never liked that. He sees him content with Sharon and gives him his blessing. Nick tells Prick that at the same time Sharon is telling Drinki, and he is worried how that might be going. They talk about Faith, and Prick says that Faith should be delighted. Nick thanks Prick for being so cool about this. At Sharon’s house, Drinki rails at her that she must not become complacent, while she is giddy in love with her son. She warns her to not slip up about her killing JT. Seriously, Drinki? You have no leverage here whatsoever. Drinki tells Sharon her biggest fear is Sharon hurting Nick again, and Sharon says Drinki must have had the same concern when she got back with Nosferatu after the 900th time. She snarkily asks her how she handled all those doubts, what is her secret. And tells her to let her know when she figures it out and shuts the door in her face. Hah! At Jabot, Jack and Kyle show up. Jack announces that the rest of the Board will be showing up soon for a meeting. Because of course, in Jabot world, Board meetings can be called willy nilly. Jack explains that it is about getting rid of the BAC. He says that Phyllthy could even be CEO then. Jack tells Billy that he can go back to his old job. Billy says he is kind of liking his new job of about five minutes. At GC Buzz, Hevon are basking in the glory of prom-prosal. At the Ranch, Prick has gone back to pretending he has speech problems. As if we didn’t see him at the office completely normal (for him). He says that he and Nick are closer than ever. He says he and Sharon reuniting is wonderful, and that he and Drinki are stronger than they have been for a long time. He suggests to Nick this is a good time for him to rejoin NE. Nick looks constipated. At Jabot, Billy tells Jack he is not ready to come back. He tells Jack that he is not capable of the self insight to decide the right time to come back. He tells his brother he has not dealt with finding out he is not John Abbott’s son. He says this is coming from a place of love and support. Jack tells him he can take his loving support and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. Phyllthy says he is only proving Billy’s point. Did I mention, I loathe her? Billy tells Jack he will be there as his brother, whatever he needs. But, he says, as Phyllthy reminded him when Jack stormed out, Jabot still needs to be run and therefore he is going to block his vote, as CEO, for his own good. Once again, they have no idea how Boards work. So silly. Jack looks seriously pissed. 17 Link to comment
pearlite May 22, 2018 Share May 22, 2018 Among the worst episodes I may have ever seen. And crap construction, Mal--you can do more than alternate among three storylines. Verve? I know that's the first thing I'm looking for in upper management. This script is currently making all the actors look stupid; with the possible exception of JT, who probably is stupid. The other two storylines, as bannana has noted, are just flaming awful. Why should I sit through crap about high-school proms? Why, Mal? Does anyone really care about Hilary's protege and Charlie [who should be in school]? And you may be aware of my feelings about any storyline involving NEW! IMPROVED! Sharon and Nick, so I won't bother to exhume them here. Nikki's line, "Isn't it obvious..." was probably the highlight of the whole show. 12 Link to comment
NinjaPenguins May 22, 2018 Share May 22, 2018 Billy has verve? Is that french for smarm? Now I don’t feel so bad for wishing a cock punching kangaroo on Mr. CEO. Promposals? Whatever, Mal. 16 Link to comment

bannana May 22, 2018 Share May 22, 2018 It’s a new day in GC, but that doesn’t make it a better one. At Jabot, CEOBilly has hired Arturo to refresh the office space, make it more contemporary, and part of this refresh is a window into the CEO’s office so that everyone will feel all happy with the openness of the CEO. Glo snarks back and forth with Billy, and lusts after Arturo, but in the end, she says Billy has some good ideas. When Jack arrives, he overhears her talking about him. He hears her say that in the blink of an eye, when the public hears the name Jabot, they will think of Billy Abbott, not Jack. Oh, Glo, et tu? He snarks about how the tempCEO is looking at paint chips and fabric swatches, instead of doing actual business. Billy says he will be CEO for as long as he is needed. When Billy leaves, Glo then tells Jack they will get through this and that she is Team Jack. Kyle also tells Jack that he is on his team. Later Jack asks Glo what office his things are in. Glo says they didn’t know when he would back, they have a logistical problem. Jack asks if his things are in storage or in the broom closet. Billy arrives, followed by Phyllis, and tells Jack that he is going to share an office with Kyle for now. Jack is furious, and Kyle drags him out of there before he can lunge at Billy. Glo is upset with Billy for creating this mess. Phyllis also tells Billy this wasn’t the best start, but Billy says, what else could he do, fire someone? Hey, Billy, how about giving him your old office? Phyllis says Jack is in pain. Billy says he understands but says that things have changed between them. Sharon and Nick discuss his possibly going back to work at NE. She questions his sanity and says this is not who he is. Honestly, I barely listened to this part of the show, but what I got was that he wants to be the protector in his family and he is in his prime and wants to earn some money. Sharon reminds Nick of how poorly Prick has treated Abby, Vic and Noah. Jack and Kyle are at CL. Jack tells Kyle he owes him an apology for screwing up his career with the BAC. He says maybe he is better off with Prick. Kyle says Prick is not his father. Kyle says he knows this feeling of not belonging, of being an outsider. He says it makes him feel less alone, because now it is him and Jack. He gives his dad a pep talk, which Jack says helps. Jack says with this office remodel, it indicates that Billy is not looking at this as temporary. Kyle scoffs, saying that Billy just wants something shiny and new. Jack agrees, and says that with Billy’s short attention span, he is going to get tired of that desk pretty quick. Kyle is glad that Jack hasn’t given up on things. Jack says that he and Kyle are going to work hard, get the BAC rescinded and Jack will be CEO and Kyle is second in command. Kyle is pleased and they head back to Jabot. Abby and Arturo are at Fenmore’s, and she has had her personal shopper bring a bunch of suits for him to try on. He tries on the first one, and she doesn’t like it because of the cuffs and the pleats. He says it was the cheapest one on the rack. He doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a suit he is going to wear once. She encourages him to try on a skinny suit. Sharon meets Vic at CL after sending her an emergency text to meet her. Vic is relieved it is not about JT. Sharon needs Vic to talk Nick out of making a terrible mistake. Phyllis is in Billy’s office complimenting him on his plan for a new glass wall. Jack arrives and apologizes for his earlier behaviour. Billy thanks Jack for covering at a fundraiser tonight and Jack replies that he means the one he was invited to in his role at New Hope. Billy says it was on the Jabot calendar and that they made a substantial donation. Jack concurs and says he will attend in a dual capacity. Jack tells Billy to bear with him, it may take him a while to get used to not being in a charge. Billy asks him if it is going to be a problem, saying he always encouraged Ash to embrace being #2. Making Billy #3. Wait a minute, didn’t Billy just start working at Jabot five minutes ago? Jack says he never looked at it that way and says that now he is going to do everything to make this work, and Billy thanks him and tells him they need him. Jack wants to know what title he should put on his new nameplate. Billy tells him he can choose what ever he wants, and Jack replies, as long as it is not CEO. Billy says, that’s taken. Sharon asks Vic to talk Nick out of going back to NE. Vic says she cannot do that, because she loves the idea. It will help Vic to have someone on her side, with Ashley there. And Vic says with Nick focused on business, he won’t have enough time to look for JT. Sharon tells Vic to forget about what this will do for her and to consider what this will do to Nick. Vic calls Abby, in front of Sharon, and tells her that the two of them should work together to convince Nick to come back to NE. Abby sees this as her being kicked further down the food chain. She notes that Nick cut his ties with NE and he gets to waltz back in. She says maybe if she lost her bar or cosmetics company, her father would value her more. And then she sighs, he would never do that. Vic is rolling here eyes and telling her sister that Prick respects her. Arturo overhears the conversation. Abby is upset and Arturo hugs her. She loves the suit, but it costs a grand, so he says no. Abby tells him she gets a family discount. She says she will buy it, as a favour for driving her to the ranch. He is a bit offended, and tells her he can afford it, but he thinks it is a waste. He relents, saying he will pay for it himself, with the discount. At Jabot, Billy has called a meeting of Jack, Kyle, Phyllis and Gloria. He says he wants to tell them about his vision for Jabot. Phyllis can’t wait to hear! Puke! He says he is going to do more meetings like this (oh, that is revolutionary) and that it is about teambuilding and defining Jabot’s priorities. Jack says Jabot’s priorities are already defined no matter who sits in that chair. Billy says it is about adding a layer of creativity. Jack replies that he thought the plan was to keep the ship on course. Billy wants to broaden the horizon. Phyllis says Billy’s excitement is infectious and that the staff will feel it and respond. Shut up, Phyllis! Does she even work for Jabot? Billy says there will be a transition for staff because Jabot has been in flux for a while with the revolving door of the CEO office in particular. What is he talking about? Billy says it is not usual to have the previous CEO working under the new one and he is confident they can handle any awkwardness with grace, and Jack says absolutely, but his eyes say otherwise. Vic arrives at Sharon’s house and, to Sharon’s chagrin, tells Nick that she loves the idea of him coming back. She says it will be different, they are stronger now and they will be able to handle Prick. Both Nick and Vic think Prick has changed since the coma. Vic says she needs Nick at her side more than ever. Sharon says that he will always be there for Vic, it doesn’t have to be at work. Vic tells her this is a family matter, not a roommate issue, thank you very much. Sharon then informs Vic that she and Nick are back together. Vic doesn’t flinch. Vic says that family is everything and nobody knows that better than a Newman. Abby and Arturo are now at CL. She tells him about who will be at the fundraiser, and mentions Devon, and that he should get to know him. He wonders whether Abby wants him to cozy up to Devon because he is rich, and she says he wasn’t always rich. Abby says she will go as his plus one, but Arturo says he doesn’t feel comfortable asking Drinki as he has already RSVPed as a single. Abby is confused but backs off. Kyle and Jack are now at the GCAC bar having drinks, and Kyle is bitching about Billy. Jack says getting rid of Billy is going to be tougher than he thought. 17 Link to comment
