I have a Senior and even the State schools are that expensive or more for 1 year. Apparently she doesn't live in the real world she's trying to keep Bentley in.

Interesting to find out Amber's and Andrew's relationship was a boozy haze the first few months. They sober up for 5 minutes and realize she's pregnant. This will end well.

 

Watching Bristol and Dakota is giving me heartburn. They're both completely on the defensive all the time. And why can't Dakota make it easy for the girls to be in their aunts wedding? Come on.

 

Damn, I feel for Tyler. That house is a fucking nightmare. Watching him and Kim express their frustration, you can see why they're so close. They've always been the caretakers. It's exhausting. Cate and Amber have bled them dry.

Bentley.....While I think they should damn well have given Maci a heads up, I don't see an issue if it's true that Ryan has an education fund set up. That right there is a stretch for sure considering it is Ryan we are talking about.

I grew up in a large family. Not all of us wanted the same type of education. My one sister went to boarding school , a few went to closest Catholic school and some went to public BUT we had to wait until 8th grade to switch. I opted for the combo pack.

I was using my glue gun during the episode so I must have missed that Ryan has an education fund set up for Bentley. Like you said if that's true there shouldn't be an issue.

Wow. I feel for Tyler. He's just at the end of his rope at this point.  I can't believe what they did to that house. Who does that? You can blatantly see the resentment in Tyler, and the realization in Cate. He's pretty much done.

I sensed the real Amber (Portwoood) coming out in her convo with Baby Huey.  He just asked "is this his first time in LA?" and she was all <sneer> of course not <sneer> and the way she corrected him on the saying about farts (yes, I just typed that) was downright nasty.  Like, he was trying to make a joke, Amber, OK?  I sense their breakup might come faster than anticipated. 

Tyler's Mom was SOOOooooOOOOoooooOOO subtle this episode.   She continues to be awful to Cate, not that she does not deserve it.   The realization did hit Cate, and hit her hard, that she stepped in the shit when she said that about Tyler's sister.  "I hope she is really working the program and not just taking a vacation from her kids".  Um.  Yeah.  

I feel sorry for Tyler and I hate this show for making me feel that!  However, couldn't someone have checked on the house before it got to that state?  I mean, when her boyfriend from last year need bailed out and was on probation for drugs, that might have been a clue.

So I only watched the one little clip above with Jen and Mack talking about private school, so I missed the part about Ryan paying for it.    I'm creating a big story in my mind here, but maybe the Edwards want private school because:  1. the public schools there aren't that good.  2. the baseball program in the private school is much better and kids who attend that school have a greater shot at going pro/getting college scholarships. 3. they don't like the economic/racial mix in the public school that Bentley attends.  4.  they think he will be shielded from a party (drug/alcohol) atmosphere.  5.  a combo of some or all of the above.       I have my suspicions ...

Why SHOULD he go private? Jen and Larry kept talking about baseball. Do public schools not have baseball? Are there not private leagues in Chattanooga? I found Jenn and Larry's fixation on private school a lot stranger than Maci's disinterest in it. I never saw her indicate in ANY way that she doesn't want Bentley to think he's special. And I'm not sure how private school makes you think you're special anyhow. It sure didn't for me, quite the opposite. 

I just think it's ludicrous to start filling the kid's head with all these ideas without EVER mentioning the idea to his mother. I'm sure Bentley already has a ton of friends in public school. And maybe the schools are well in his area. Who knows? I've just never cottoned to the idea that private school is the be-all-end-all. It really depends on the individual situation. But they weren't able to offer any reasons why Bentley's current situation was no good, so I'm confused as to where this is all coming from. 

And even IF Ryan has some fund set up for Bentley (that's a big if), it still has to be agreed upon by both parents.

Butch was living there for awhile too. They went there once and the lights were turned off and it looked pretty bad then. That being said, a crack addict could turn the Blue Stone Manor into a slum in 2 hours.

I think it's #4. I think they're trying to get a redo with Ryan. They mentioned not being able to send him to private school. If they think private school will shield him from that shit? Ha, I got news for them!!!

Wow, was this episode ever BORING!!!  The only part I found interesting was seeing what Tyler's sister had done to the house.  Now, I found THAT fascinating! And, disgusting.  And for that the girl gets a free ride to a cushy spa to get clean.  Will she get to buy a pony when she gets back???

The whole Bentley private school story line smells fake to me.  And, I really don't care what school he goes to.  I really don't care.  Why do I even watch this show?  Something for me to ponder . . .
