In the season 3 finale, the Divas are in the midst of getting ready for SummerSlam and Eva's wedding day when Brie confronts John behind Nikki's back leading to explosive consequences. At the same time, Nattie is caught in a downward spiral when the truth about her marriage is revealed.

Okay, so I can understand reluctantly walking away from someone you love because he/she doesn't want to have kids, or doesn't want a marriage, but a wedding? Like, the silly event that lasts one day of your life? Obviously Nikki and John have big, probably insurmountable discrepancies in their life goals (though her family, especially her jerk brother, really need to shut up and mind their own business) but everyone's repeated focus that boo-hoo, she's missing out on the white dress and Napa Valley and fairies (whatever the hell that even is), make her look like a ridiculously immature child. A fluffy party shouldn't be the deciding factor for anything.

 

Of course, also making her look like a child is the fact that her family sneaks around to convince her boyfriend to break up with her behind her back, instead of having an adult conversation directly with her. I hope she punches all of them.

 

I'm so bored with the Nattie/TJ nonsense, and Nattie's weekly freakout over nothing.  Honey, when Ariane is accurately pointing out that you're acting like a nut, it's time for professional help. The show either needs to tell us what's really going on, or just move on to something else already..

Loved Eva's wedding dress.  Her body is amazing!

I just came on to post the opposite, did not like Eva's wedding dress. I agree her body is amazing but felt the dress was too ostentatious. The dress black reception dress, if you could call it that, looked more appropriate for the wedding night.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a prude and don't expect her to dress like a quaker. Just think she could have toned it down some. A little more class and not so much flash. Felt almost like I was watching an ex-porn star get married. But then again this is the same person who thought her save the date photos should be them half naked!

I think they mentioned on smackdown that when the show resumes in January, they are adding Paige and Alicia Fox to Total Divas.  I hope that means like they are going to get ride of someone (Ariane).

There should be a general "cast" thread since there are constantly new people joining the show. I'm very excited Paige and Alicia are joining but there's way too many of them on the show now. Naomi/Trinity is one of my favorites and she was hardly on.

 

Nattie's marriage problems are definitely fake. She's boring, immature, whiny and overall...so damn annoying. Nattie, Ariane and Rosa need to go. I LOL'd when Summer said to Nattie "Wow you must be really pissed at TJ if you want to sit next to me"

I get where Nikki's family is coming from, if she really wants a marriage and babies and is suppressing it for John's sake that really isn't fair to her. Especially when she will see Brie inevitably get pregnant and having the same life she wants for herself. BUT it also isn't her family's place to have a meeting with John about it behind her back, and basically convince him to leave her. Though if they cannot come to some kind of compromise (that will truly satisfy her, and not just go on being John's parrot) then it might be better to break it off. John doesn't strike me as the flexible type, and Nikki can only fool herself for so long before she goes batshit cray on his ass and blames him for all the shit she wanted but doesn't have in her life. Bella might cut a bitch!

The fake John and Nikki situation is boring. Also, I cannot stand Nattie and TJ's fake divorce drama. I wish they would show more of Trinity and Jon. I don't like that it seems they are getting phased out. They are bringing two more diva's next season, which sucks. There are way too many people on the show. I think they should take out Nattie, Rosa, and Ariane.

I need Nikki to shit or get off the pot. Like, give me a break. John has said from the beginning that he doesn't see himself getting married again and he does not want children. Nikki wants both. This is not an issue where they can compromise and be happy.

 

I hated Eva's wedding dress, but I am not surprised she loved it. This is the same woman who thought nothing of using partially nude photos for 'save the date' cards. I still think she's gorgeous, but I wish she'd realize less is more. But then again, she's young and hot, so she's probably going to keep showing off her body until she can't anymore.

 

Is there a reason Rosa and Summer Ray are on this show. I am not interested in either of their stories.

Loved Eva's dress from the back, but it was so trashy from the front.  She is a gorgeous girl, but she doesn't need to show so much skin to prove it.

 

I also didn't agree with Nikki's family talking to John.  Its not their place.  He's been honest with her from day 1, about what he doesn't want.  Make your opinions and concern known to Nikki, but she is 30 years old.  She's gotta make her own decisions and live with the ramifications of it.

 

Get rid of Ariane, Summer Ray and Nattie - none of them are likable.

 

Yes, we need more of Trinity and Jon.

Eva's wedding dress was exactly what I thought it would be. I hate a dress back so low that your butt crack is a centimeter from appearing, but her body is on point. You can tell she loves her body. I loved the dark brown wig, but the wig sat unnaturally on her head. It was too heavy, imo.

 

It's hard for me to feel bad for Nikki when John told her on the first date that he did not want children or marriage. She continued to date him, so it really isn't fair for her brother to shame John into leaving her. Why can't she leave? IMO, she should leave sooner rather than later.

The Bella family is in crisis mode after Nikki learns the truth about John; British wrestler Paige takes the Diva division by storm; and Nattie tries hard not to get caught in an illegal act.

Nattie and Paige's portion of the episode was comedy gold.  Nattie doesn't want to test positive so she crashes her car, and then wants to go to the emergency room.  Of course she ignores that if you wind up at the hospital for a car accident, they might test you.  That whole thing was great, and Paige is awesome.

 

Brother Bella seriously needs his ass kicked.

Love the addition of Paige. She's spunky. I agree with her, Nattie needs to loosen up! That line "I didn't know you were going to try and kill you and Ariane!" was so good. But I can't believe Paige offered to pay for the car! That's way too nice. 

 

In the car crash scene, how many times could Ariane say "Nattie-UH!" She is so annoying. Go away.

 

The Cena/Nikki drama is just tired at this point. I hate their relationship (it's so unbalanced) but Nikki seems hellbent on insisting she's happy and is fine without marriage/kids.

Nikki and Johnbot are together, then they aren't together, is there anyone who gives a rats ass anymore.

The whole Paige and Nattie thing was worth watching for. The Nikki/John drama is meh. But the brownie incident? Can we have more of that, please?

I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons. I thought some of the friendships were organic and natural and I completely fell in love with Jon and Naomi. But the Bella twins are terrible actresses and they're losing me with all the attention on them. I have a feeling Nattie had a better reputation within WWE before allowing herself to be exposed as a shrieking harpy. Rosa Mendes is a cartoon character and so is the skinny blonde everyone hates. Red is a terrible athlete and the worst actress of the lot and I can't even get invested in her story lines other than to think her husband is way too good for her. Ariane, just ugh. Which brings me back to Naomi and Jon, and if Naomi's being phased out, I don't think I can watch more of this.

 

Having Nattie introduce Paige was just awkward as hell. There's at least a 10 year age difference and I can't even imagine them socializing outside work. And on a shallow note, everyone's makeup was way too heavy and distracting.

Nattie is so immature, she just comes off as such a wreck.  While I thought it was a little mean for Paige to pay that trick on her about the brownies, Nattie was completely overreacting.

 

I feel like all the Bella kids are so hot headed.  Nikki is 30 years old.  She is old enough to make her own decisions.  If she wants to give up kids and marriage to be with John, that's her decision.   She has to live with any regrets she may have down the line.  They've given her their opinions and that's where it should've stopped.  It was not necessary for her family to sit down and talk to John about this.  John has been upfront with Nikki from the start.

 

Also, I like Brie, but she should not have tried to say that she was influenced by her brother.  You're an adult own up to your actions.

The only thing I liked about the whole John/Nikki/Bella family stuff was John, surprisingly.  I liked that he said he wouldn't sell her family out to her, and then, even when she knew they'd talked to him, he was still not one hundred percent sure about telling her exactly what was said.  I think he manages a healthy balance of putting her feelings first while not doing something he's totally against.  He loves her, and he was willing to walk away if not having a husband and kids was going to make her miserable, he was willing to keep her family's talk with him secret so as not to trash her relationships with them, but he's not willing to go the married and family route with her just because it would make her happy, when he's not in a place where he's ready or comfortable with that. 

 

Nattie, good Lord.  All her fretting over the test and anyone at WWE finding out she may have eaten a pot brownie, and I'm sitting here saying "you do realize you're being filmed right now, right?  That ship has sailed."  I laughed for a few minutes when, after pasting that fake "no, we're fine, but it's been a long day, and I'm just tired" face on to kick Paige out of her house, she then turned to her cat and cooed about what a "phony bitch" Paige is.  Honey, you are the definition of phony bitch.

I should get that posted at the top of quite a few forums, KerleyQ! And this one would be first on the list. There is very little on this show that is "real deal" as opposed to "reality real", or even "kayfabe real".

I spend too much time figuring out which direction the story line crossover is going between this show and the WWE story lines.  Like Brie and Nikki - did they decide to write in this story of Nikki being pissed at Brie to back up the Nikki turns on Brie story line WWE was selling?  Or did they decide to do "Nikki turns against Brie" in the ring to prop the Total Divas story line?  And Nattie and TJ, I don't even know what to believe there. My gut tells me that, in reality, their marriage is just fine.  But did they come up with this "TJ is a clueless tool who neglects his wife" thing on Total divas to give TJ his current persona in the ring, or did they come up with the in ring stuff to bolster the story line here?   (And if their marriage is genuinely in trouble, it's really bizarre and crappy to play out story lines about their marriage crumbling here and in the ring.  

 

This show has given me a whole new appreciation of John Cena, though.  I get the impression that he has his limits as to how far he'll go playing their games.  I think he participates to some extent to help Nikki's career, but after the first season, he's not willing to look like an asshole for the sake of the show's stories.  He didn't want to play the bad guy for Nikki's "I was married" reveal.  And while the mid-season "cliffhanger" was "are John and Nikki over for good now?" after her family's interference, he subtly made it clear via social media during the fall that their relationship was just fine and dandy, via a few tweets and pictures about the two of them (and I don't think he normally does stuff about his personal life on social media).

Someone, either at TWOP or a wrestling forum I lurk, said Rosa looks like Michael Jackson and now it's all I see. She's so annoying, dull and brings nothing to the show. I wish Naomi could have stayed in her place. Also, totally bet it was Nattie who told Carrano about her plan.

 

Happy to see less of Nattie, sad to see less of Paige.

 

I like Alycia so far. She's stunning.

 

Nikki is a bitch and loves to act like a victim. She was so unprofessional with the merch people. "How dare you ask me what segment we are?!" Grow the hell up.

I just finished watching season 1 after a friend recommended the show to me.  I have so many general thoughts, but I have to throw in the thing that surprised me most from season 1:  I can't believe Arianne let the cameras in on her pelvic exam.  And that her doctor was a-ok with that.

 

Trinity and Jon are by far my favorites - they actually seem like a real couple to me.  So do Brie and Bryan, whereas John and Nikki seem like two people who are using each other.  I feel like Nikki likes that he can buy her things and that she can say she's with the most famous man in the WWE, not that she necessarily genuinely likes him.  I enjoyed her storylines far more when they had nothing to do with him.

Not having Nattie was awesome this episode.

Rosa's face is totally weird looking.  She just reeked of desperation with her wanting to have an "accidental" wardrobe malfunction.  The only thing I didn't get was that in the match where her butt was shown on national tv, I didn't get why she was the one in trouble?  Lalya was the one who pulled her bottoms down.  Was she supposed to wear something under that to prevent it from happening?  Also, I don't trust any of the girls with "secrets" as they always get gossiped about to someone else 5 minutes later.

 

Nikki was totally unprofessional in the merchandise meeting.  I definitely think part of her relationship with John is due to his status in the WWE and the things he can buy her.

I fully expect to have an upcoming episode where her family finds out about the not wanting babies thing and her father and brothers rip into her or try to turn it into a decision the whole family gets input on.  And I agree, Jonathan deserves better.  They're practically still newlyweds, and he's already had to deal with her hiding their marriage from her family, her not really having his back around her family (or the backbone to stand up to her family and demand they respect her marriage and her husband), and her lying to him about whether she wants kids.  Run, Jonathan, run.

Gotta love how this show tries to tell us that Paige's sexual antics are her going off-script.  Yeah, the office and Nattie wouldn't have known about the lick before Paige did it, and great timing by the cameraman to be zooming in at that particular moment.

 

Paige has been the awesomest thing to happen to this show, ever.  You had to love her defending Summer Rae, when Nattie even while watching a match talks crap about her.  And hey, the show actually used the reason why Paige and Summer are friends, Paige has said Summer was the only one that was nice to her when she started with the company.  Hell, with the constant pranking of Nattie, Paige is this show's Trickster.  She's knocking Nattie down a peg to teach her a lesson.

 

I want to see Total Divas Cena on Raw, instead of the Cena we get, and I say that as a Cena fan.  His response to Nikki being mad about Cena not taking the competition seriously was great, they were playing Goofy Golf.

The impression I got was that she let him believe she wanted them.  She said she didn't tell him she didn't want them, because she was afraid he wouldn't want to be with her and marry her if he knew.  That leads me to believe that they discussed it enough that she was well aware he wanted them.  Maybe she figured she likely couldn't have kids, so she wouldn't have to admit that she didn't want them.

John Cena does always look constipated! He has this really stilted demeanor that makes me second guess him everytime he is on screen. I feel like he really tries to watch what he says/does on screen since he is "royalty" to the WWE and he doesn't want to mess up his image that he has worked on for 10+ years.

Yep. He's one of the few sane people on this show, and I usually walk away liking him a little more each episode (save season 1).  

 

Eva is an idiot.  My son and I spent at least half the episode urging her husband to just get out of that relationship now.  He keeps reminding her that her health has to be more important than her job, and she refuses to listen to him or even acknowledge that he has a valid point.  A couple drinks with the Bellas, though, and she's all ready to go have the surgery?  She's shown him in many different ways that he will never be first for her.  Whether it's her career, her insanely over-involved family, or her friends, there will always be something or someone else that rates first to her.  And while I'd ordinarily not approve of a spouse contacting your employer, in this case, I feel like he was justified.  As Brie pointed out, this wasn't just about the danger to her.  Any time she's in the ring with someone else and she's not fully healthy (or close enough to it), she's endangering the other people in that ring.  The company deserves to know that she's dealing with this, for her own health and safety and the health and safety of their other employees.

I get the same impression from him.  I think he agreed to do the show to help Nikki out, because it's a way to help her boost her career without involving his personal life in his in-ring life.  But he's very conscious of how the show portrays him (especially after the 1st season where they tried to paint him as this cold, controlling guy).  I think he refuses to participate in anything that will make him look bad. I feel like the show really wants to get certain moments out of him, and they end up having to compromise because he won't go there for them.   I've heard before that he refuses to become a "bad guy" in ring because his relationship with the young fans is too important to him to become the "bad guy" in their eyes, so it makes sense that, given how important his role in the company is to him, he wouldn't want this show to put any dents in it.

I don't know if Cena' s failure to turn heel is all on him. I'm sure the WWE isn't quite willing to give up the merchandising bucks he generates from the kids and their parents while he's a face.

Eva's Jon is great. He just makes sense and is logical. He clearly adores her for some reason. I wanted to slap Eva. What the hell is wrong with her? Why is she such a freaking child? Nikki & Brie made a lot of sense when they were chatting with her.

 

I love that Paige had Summer's back and was adamant about saying "That's my friend, don't talk about her". You don't see that too often on these kind of shows, ha. I liked Summer. She didn't really have a chance on this show- they slotted her into the bitch role and then barely gave her any airtime (that I can recall beyond the Nattie feud/Rosa triangle).

Ariane goes behind Eva's back, teaming up with Jonathan to confront Eva Marie with a major issue. Meanwhile, Brie fears retaliation after her house was broken into, and Paige faces the consequences of sending mixed signals.

Eva has a major crisis every week that resolves itself before the show ends. She's like an old sitcom.

After Paige apologized and, basically, kissed Rosa's ass, I said "and that, friends, is manipulation."  Be embarrassed if you want, when you make a pass at someone who is not interested, but it doesn't give you license to act bitchy to them and make them feel like they did something wrong because you misread the situation.  And Alicia was smart enough to warn Rosa not to go there, that it would just create awkwardness among their trio, then she turns around and tells Paige she was sending Rosa mixed signals.  Bullshit.  Alicia pretty clearly knew, when Rosa broached the subject with her, that Paige wasn't really going to be into Rosa, so what signals did she now claim Paige was sending?  I was so annoyed that Paige was the one who had to go chase Rosa down to apologize to her.  And when she told the story to Nattie, I was so disappointed that Nattie didn't tell her that Rosa pulled this on her, too (so Paige could see it was not her).  I had a guy pull this shit on me in college, and, because I didn't kiss his ass like Paige did Rosa's, he spent the rest of the school year telling every guy he saw me speaking to what a tease I was.  Well, until he approached the wrong guy (the captain of the wrestling team who had appointed himself my big brother).  

 

Eva, if she really has those issues, that's just sad.  But it is starting to feel like every episode is some "very special" after school special story line for Eva.  

 

And how did Cameron become the most likable of all of them?  I remember her being kind of flaky and self-centered on previous seasons, but she seems to be a good friend and voice of reason this season.  

 

Brie.  Good Lord.  I can empathize with feeling some fear after your home is broken into, but damn.  That girl is as dumb as a box of hair.

Paige is awesome, there's no way around it.  I did have to laugh at them blurring her Misfits shirt, but not her Misfits hat.

 

Bryan's snark about the crossbow was great, and his mention of the neighbors when Brie wanted to put up razor wire was a great point.  It is also going on their fence, so they should be asked.

 

Alexa Bliss has been busted open hardway on NXT, and she was the blonde that Paige and Alicia were beating the snot out of at the Performance Center.  WWE's live action Disney Princess is a lot tougher than she appears.  They've got a future star with her.  Sorry kind of got off topic.
