Did something happen to Jared or his family?

He cancelled his appearance at the con this weekend due to personal reasons. Gen has posted a few times today on her instagram account about her usual blog stuff. So I don't think it's anything serious. But no one knows.

I've seen the prequel described as a cash grab by JA from some folks on other forums, and it always makes me laugh. This guy loves the Winchester family. I think he's the closest thing to a fanboy of his own character and fictional family that I've ever seen from an actor.

I don't doubt that Jensen loves SPN. What I question is the judgement of using John and Mary as the focus for the first major post-SPN series. We know their story and it sounds far too much like in order to make the series work that a bunch of things are going to be retconned. If the John and Mary story doesn't flow neatly into the canon series and the mature characters as we know them, then it's just not going to work for me. I don't have a problem with Jensen's production company playing in the SPN pool, but trying to rewrite a story that we already know just feels like bad fanfic.

I would be much more interested in exploring the SPN world through new characters and a different setting (the world of Samuel Colt would have been fascinating), but we'll have to see how this plays out. The SPN universe has so much potential and I'd love to see it actually expanded and not just revisiting the same characters.

Since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned here, the reason that Jared wasn't at the NJ con was because he'd just been in a very bad car accident. Thankfully he wasn't badly injured and there were not fatalities (and Jared a passenger, not driving), but per Jensen, Jared is fortunate to be alive. Very glad that he's on the mend.

Response taken to The Winchesters' thread.

I just finished watching the entire gold panel and it was Amazing.

So good. Every question. Every response from Jensen. The last three questions were especially insightful as to who this man really is. And IMO, he's so wonderful in solo panels precisely because of that trait-well, that, and he's funny as hell.

I'm a little more leery of the main panel, but I've seen parts of it that made me LOL a lot, so I'm going to take a chance on the whole thing too, but later, when I have the time.

Not a fan of big muscles or facial hair so this does nothing for me.

The beard's a non-starter since it was grown for a specific reason and gone as soon as he could. I am also not a lover of 'big muscles' - I much prefer the quiet strength and fitness of Jensen's normal look. But knowing that he *could* look like this if he chose is still somehow all kinds of hot. 💥😍💥

I hope Jared is doing well. I've heard that airbags can cause damage while saving your life.

Also, I see Misha stepped in it over the weekend.

I'm honestly surprised that Jared hasn't had anything to say about his accident, especially with all the cast tweets I saw after Jensen announced it at the con. At least I assume he didn't - I don't follow him. Maybe it's for legal reasons - at least that's the hope and not that he's too incapacitated for it.

Misha... well, Karma is a wicked wench sometimes.

I was briefly on Twitter yesterday and Misha's name suddenly appeared in the trending sidebar!

Exactly the hottest thing about that is the hard work and dedication he put into getting the body they asked him for Soldier Boy.  Hubba hubba. :)  That he can do that superhero body is really all kinds of hot.

During his run on Supernatural (in the show's last six seasons), Misha played an angel named Gabriel, who came out as gay in the final season.

Great reporting E-News!   The number of seasons is wrong, the name is wrong, and I never thought Castiel declaring his love for Dean meant he was gay.  Angels are not humans.  They inhabit male or female human bodies at times, but Castiel switched to Claire Novak at one point so "he" didn't need to be in a male body.  I don't care where a character falls on the sexuality spectrum, but applying human labels to an angel just seems lazy.

So I heard this on the radio this morning during their entertainment segment. The producers of Rust have every intention of completing the movie. Once the police investigation is complete they plan on resuming production.

As usual, they only tell part of the story. The producer 'clarified' his comments.

From the EW interview

Quote

Anjul Nigam, a producer on the Western Rust with Alec Baldwin, clarified his earlier comment about finishing the film in a statement to EW, saying, "My statement that I was confident the film could be completed was just my optimism and not an actual plan. Many of those who were involved hope to honor Halyna by completing her last work, but at this point, it is just hope."

Of course he probably only 'clarified' after the blowback. I think the only way this happens is if the family (her family, husband, son) give it their blessing in order to have her last work completed. I don't think that can or will (or should) happen until all the lawsuits are settled. I sincerely doubt it will ever come to pass.

So SoldierBoy is not in season 4? 😭

I wouldn't count this out yet.

Jensen seems like an acting dynamo at this point, and as we know, he likes to keep busy.

Lots of irons in the fire, for sure, and I  don't think shooting scedules have been announced for anything yet, have they?
