He appeared as Zach in the only good Hope episode of 2016. It was also Bo's final appearance and Stefano's last speaking appearance. Hugely memorable show if you ask me (YMMV), which is why I am so miffed about them reusing him. At least stupid Summer had a different hair color from her first character, the friend of Aiden's late wife, when she returned.

I must have ff'd through his appearance because I have absolutely no memory of him. Was this ghost Bo and ghost Stefano?  I may have just skipped the whole episode if those characters were already dead.  Not a fan of the cut and paste flashbacks.

And I had almost forgotten all about Summer and had forgotten her name.  Just like that misbegotten character with the elephant fixation.

Show does NOT stick in my mind for long.

Who could blame you?

That episode had Hope being visited by spirits at the Horton cabin. The Zach reveal was huge because he had died as a little kid, but his spirit was an adult. That made it a sort of happy ending, him and Bo being able to be "Okay" together in the afterlife. It pulled at my heartstrings and I didn't even see the darn Zach storyline.

Stefano meanwhile reminded Hope of how she'd killed him and made her promise to protect his children as penance, basically. That's the last time Stefano spoke on the Show.

....it seems like characters are referring to him as though he's well and truly dead again. In Jan and back in the fall, they were saying how "he could come back" and the Show even reminded us of the awful Shane/Patch scheme in Prague. But now the dialogue all speaks of Stefano as though he's dead, complete with people looking at his portrait and such. Which is it? Does his family suspect he's alive still or not?

Exactly! If I remembered every episode and every character or actor for the last 50 years, my mind would be filled with nothing but Days. I treat the show just like any other fictional story. Enjoy it while it's playing and move on to the next episode. I'm just not that involved in detail because (once again) it's a soap...which for me is pure entertainment and nothing more.

Aren't Steve and Shane the only two who "know" that Stefano is still alive?

There are photos of him still being alive  - Anna saw one/had one on her. She showed it to Roman back when they first started dating again in Jan.

I miss Joe. I'm trying to keep the details straight on this mess of a storyline. Talk about how NOT to write out a deceased actor. I thought the Sally Spectra stuff on TBATB was bad....

Maybe she'll be in jail with Gabi this time? Did we ever find out what was up with her & Eli?

They dated, then things went bad and she felt abandoned.

Uh huh, sure......

Re: Sheila and Gabi maybe having scenes in Statesville, I could see why Sheila gave Hope a hard time--Hope's a cop and probably had a hand in arresting many of the inmates.  Gabi, on the other hand, is now a two-time convicted murderer--she's vastly more hardcore then Sheila, Bonnie or Hattie--she might even get her own gang :):)  I kid of course--I hope Gabi doesn't spend a minute longer in prison then she has too.

I doubt Gabi will still be there in September...

Eli was only friends with Sheila (and her brother...?) when he ratted them out to cops. I don't fully remember the details but I don't remember them being involved romantically from the info we were given.

I wonder if this means Bonnie returns as well since she's still at large, and played by Judi.

Don't put that out in the universe.  Sheila is one thing, Bonnie is something else.

Literally some THING else.

One Adrienne is plenty.

Aren't we already being punished enough with this DID crap? Don't add that cartoon to the mix!

I'd honestly rather have Bonnie than Adrienne. Apparently I'm alone in that, LOL!

Adrienne all the way, she has the history and the depth that Bonnie will never have... Plus, she is Steve's and Jack's baby sister, so, that is enough for me..

As a newer viewer, all that ancient history is a non-factor. Adrienne is just the dullard who got with Lucas for...reasons? And got back with cheating Justin because...no woman should ever be with someone other than the guy who first took her cherry on this show, apparently (I assume that was Justin).

I'm still sore over the lack of Jeve, clearly.

The promo is seriously disgusting.  Clearly, the show thinks that Gabigail and Stefan O. Doing It is super hot, or at least soapy in that a brother has gotten his brother's wife into bed.  NO!  Stefan O. knows Abigail is seriously mentally ill, that she would not sleep with him under normal circumstances (which the show drove home today by showing Abigail trapped in her own mind), and he's going ahead anyway.  That is fucking gross.

Stefan and Abigail are both as crazy as two loons.

Maybe Stefan has an alter too and that's who is in love with Gabby. Then it wouldn't be so crazy right? ::rolleyes::

The only way Stefan can survive this, is they have to make this into a ridiculous dream or something, IMO.

Man, Tess only managed to trap two people in her secret room - Natalie and Jared.  So Gabigail's got her beat! #ihatethisstory

I do not think Gabby would be banging Stefan if Abigail was not attracted to Stefan on some level.   After all we see Gabby hates Gabi because she dared be with Chad when she Abigail deserted him.

The story is gross. If Ron wanted to give Abigail a mental illness.  He could have given her one, that fits her history, on the show.  She has always had an obsessive trait to her character. It is what bonded her to Nick, when they had a sibling bond, when Ashley Benson played her.  Her crush on Max was an early indication on Abigail's tendency to fixate obsessively on men. Abigail did not need any alters, for the show to delve into that aspect of hers.   This is the same person that went after both EJ and Austin with no remorse. Not to mention, her escapades with Chad, when she was with Ben.  Ron is a lazy writer.  This is the third soap that he has done DID.

I guess the show has decided that Claire is the villain to somehow make Ciara more likeable.

Claire IS the villain...regardless of Ciara's presence or not.

The only "villainous" thing Claire has done is not participate in Rafe and Ciara's cover up of his having sex with Sami and there are plenty of people--myself included--who consider Claire a hero for helping to break up Rafe/Hope's nightmare of a relationship.

I would add that cheating on a magazine popularity contest online is silly rather than villanous. Especially since those are so easy to cheat on.

Oh no, it's that Ciara's not winning the contest means she doesn't get to be declared beautiful on the outside and inside--while completely ignoring that her entire reason for entering it was only to hurt Claire.  Look, I think this beauty contest is as stupid as the nest person, but Claire and Ciara are both self-centered little twits--Ciara is in no way any better than Claire in how she behaves.  If the show wants us to think that then the character has to actually start showing some maturity, intelligence and compassion.  Thus far, that hasn't happened.

Agreed.  Ciara was licking her lips at the chance to blow up her mother's life until for reasons unknown to me she suddenly had a change of heart.  Claire didn't want to hurt Hope, never saw any indication of that.

Claire is self centered and insecure while Ciara is self centered and mean as a snake.  I hope Tripp is up to date on his rabies shots.

Not true. What about hiding Ciara's letter to Theo? While that might not be a critical action, it shows that Claire has a nasty (or villainous) streak.

So I guess Ciara's punching Claire in the face shows her true violent nature right?  Look, Claire admitted to hiding the letter--a letter Ciara had no business writing in the first place when she knew Claire and Theo were in a relationship--and she asked for forgiveness from both Theo and Ciara.  Claire's hiding the letter was the actions of an insecure teenager, not a master manipulator.

How about neither? Bonnie is funny but misguided. I can't stand Adrienne..everything from her inappropriate obsession with Sonny (esp his sex life) to her freakin fake ass baby girl porn voice.

Gabi: She meets up with Eve and Eve's ax to grind is Eli.
WilSon: they need to co-parent for sure. I hope Sonny isn't his usual dick self to Will during this.

I have never liked Clair. How this actress is the only one of the SORASsed kids left is beyond me. She's awful. But yes, the material she's given is horrid. What a harpy. Julie Junior. Ciara recast is okay but not great. Again: writing. The only one I "like" in this whole thing is Tripp and that guy tried to frame someone for murder so... my TV/SOAP moral compass is off kilter, I know.

That "insecure teenager" turn into a manipulator when she knowingly taped Ciara & Tripp's conversation just to find out their "secret"...which was none of Claire's business to begin with.

Oh, and the punch, Claire deserved it. She acts all so innocent and wide-eyed, but some of us see her for exactly who she is...a master manipulator in training, if you will.

Edited to add:  If Claire bought those extra votes (and we're pretty sure she did), that makes her a manipulator by definition!

Here's the thing, I don't think either Ciara or Claire are winners in this situation or in this storyline but it seems as if only Claire is being called out for her behavior when it's both girls who are acting horribly.  I think Ciara is a mean-spirited bully who's just looking to strike out at a girl she blames everything on and it looks like that's going to continue.  I don't know if Claire bought any votes--she seemed genuinely surprised she won--but if she did then she should be exposed, but I don't want Ciara being the one to do it.  This feels like high school drama where we're supposed to be rooting for Ciara but I'm just not feeling it.

I didn't see today's ep so I don't know if anything involved in this happened today or not, but there's a spoiler photo floating around of Paul in the hospital with a wound on his forehead and an oxygen mask over his mouth.

Steve Nichols also posted a photo of him wearing a patch.  I don't know if this a new photo or an old one, and if it's a spoiler or not, but it's out there.

I read a spoiler on Twitter that Chad beats the hell out of Stefan* so that could match up.

* Which I'm sure is supposed to make us feel bad for him, not.  I certainly didn't feel bad for Ford on OLTL any of the times he rightfully got his ass kicked.

I even cheered on the light fixture when it became sentient and took an instant dislike to Ford.
