Alex is scolding Jason too for talking to much to them. He questioned what is he supposed to do? They know Cody's going home and questioning why they can't talk to them. Good for Jason.

That exchange with Jessica and Cody was hilarious. I think he was going into the DR.

J - Don't be brash and asshole-ish.

C - I'm going to just be myself.

J - So don't be brash and asshole-ish.

LMFAO!

He means after Cody's gone, right?

Yes, he is counting on Cody walking out the door on Thursday.  He's not even worried about the possibility of Cody coming back in a buyback competition.  He acknowledges that there will probably be one but he likened Cody to Paulie from last season and said that Paulie was smarter, stronger, and had a better social game and even Paulie blew his chance to get back in the game.

It is true that even the strongest competitors can make a mistake and not win the buyback. I'd still be considering that by getting out his showmance right after him. That way, even if Cody came back into the game, he's lost his closest ally.

I'd actually love if Paul got eliminated before the buyback, had to compete against Cody and then lost. That would be so sweet. And then Cody can walk back out that door the following week.

Does Paul want Ramses voted out?  I thought the plan was to backdoor Cody / Jessica.

Paul doesn't want Ramses voted out over Cody.  But I think the problem with Ramses winning veto and taking himself off the block is that there will not be a replacement nominee for Ramses since he's only on the block because he had to put himself up from the curse.  In that scenario, Alex and Josh will stay on the block and Cody can't be put up.

Paul wants Cody out first, but his second target is Ramses. If Jessica was his second target, he would have put both of them up at the same time. He's alright with losing Ramses, but that won't be happening this week. If the plan backfires, then Josh or Alex will be leaving. Ramses is pretty much guaranteed safety (I think; that's my theory, anyway).

Paulie had more endurance competition than Cody's going to have. So far it's Jillian and Cameron. Paul assuming Cody won't come back is stupid.

Paul isn't known to make the brightest plans. Just because he's loud, cocky, and aggressive, doesn't mean that he's the smartest guy in the house. He had to get his own teammates to point out how stupid the Maven on the block plan was, because he either didn't consider the small chance of the veto not being used, or his super secret backup plan was getting one of Matt/Raven out.

That makes sense.

Your theory makes sense too.

BTW, I'll mostly be lurking here, but have watched BB every summer since year 1, except for a couple years when life got in the way of my summertime obsession. I don't have the feeds (can we even get them in Canada anymore) so appreciate everyone's updates and comments.  :)

Mark is oblivious to many things.  Dom's crush on him is another blind spots.  I like him but not sure he would be a good alliance member.

Mark is someone you just use as a number because he's so easy to manipulate. He also has the added bonus of being someone who could potentially win a comp or two if they're strictly strength based. He's kind of an amazing person to have in your alliance. He's basically Victoria.

Elena seems to spend more time cuddling with Christmas than Mark.

Elena is not into Mark lol. It's painfully obvious. I can't watch them together because of it. Like when I see this gif I have to turn away quickly. It's so cringe-worthy.

Earlier I was watching the convo where Paul was telling everyone about this guy he's friends with that's like the best, most famous person who does this hair growth treatment thing. He was going on and on about how this guy works with A-listers and how soccer players come from all over the world to see him, etc. Jason asked how much it cost and Kevin guessed maybe 10K. Paul was like, "If you're my friend, maybe. If you're not my friend, 30K." I lost it. This guy lmao. How do these people stand him? I truly do not understand it.

Prayer circle that Ramses wins veto! Every single person would fucking lose it. I mean it would completely fuck Ramses game, but he's screwed anyway, so I just want the drama of it. The audacity of these people to be pissed that someone that isn't in their alliance and that they're actually actively against would try to save themselves is amazing. All of them can go fuck themselves.

Kevin told the HOH group that Ramses couldn't win even if it was him playing by himself and then he just told Alex he can't possibly beat her. I really need Ramses to win. I wanna see all these dicks suffer!

I kinda love Alex. When Kevin said that she said Ramses is smart so if it's a mental comp he could beat her. I love that she's not as cocky as these other people. She also has such a good read on things and I love that she doesn't kiss ass. It's too bad she's suffering from low key internalized misogyny because otherwise I could really get behind rooting for her. ETAA: Wait, never mind, she told Kevin she doesn't want Josh or Ramses in jury. Bitch, you have got to be kidding me! These people are all so stupid.

ETA: Jason was just called to DR and he's hosting, so veto is probably starting soon. ETAA: Wait, it's Jason, I'm sure it'll take Production an hour to explain things to him so it might still be awhile.

False alarm, Jason is just doing the HN temptation thing. And he got the extra week of HN.

Anybody seen the trailer for the upcoming Hugh Jackman/Zach Efron film The Greatest Showman? Elena looks uncannily like Rebecca Ferguson, who plays Jenny Lind, the "Swedish Nightingale" in that. Same face, same color hair. Wowza! Check out the pic of Ferguson in the Daily Fail link:

Yeah, I can see this now that you mention it.

Alex' biggest flaw in the game is her inability to forgive betrayal from those that she trusted. That is what is driving her dislike for Ramses and Josh and not wanting them in jury. I get her point. Why keep people around who would lie to your face instead of the clear enemies? Kevin did Ramses dirty with that vote and because she trusts him, she's taking his word over Ramses. But that is besides the point, it is a numbers game and she would need them. She's going to have to take a leap of faith attempt to build those bridges even if she never trusts them again

That said, her views and how she's playing against the mega alliance is flawless. She knows they are full of shit and don't trust them as far as she can throw them, with Paul as her number one nemesis, followed by Christmas whom she's started to give the side eye to as of today. However, she's shelving those feelings and "playing their game" the plan is to play along with whatever they came up with wile buying herself time.

Kevin rightfully pointed out to her that, when she comes into power, they'll know she's playing her own game because she won't go after the people they want her to. Namely Ramses and Jessica. Although I do think she'll take a shot at Ramses and Josh. She's that done with them but Kevin might put the breaks on that one

She is not without fault but she is the one I'm am rooting for the most at this point. It  would be devastating when/if she learns of Kevin's vote but for now, she listens to him and he constantly stressss their need for numbers. He's been a strong advocator in keeping the outsiders and the remaining Cody on their side. Something he should've thought of last week

The problem with Kevin is he's all talk. He won't actually do anything, at least not until much further down the line. And he's one of the idiots who's given Paul way too much info. Alex has no good allies and I feel like it must be driving her crazy since it seems obvious to me that she knows the game and how to play it. I kinda want her to find out about Kevin's vote because it'd be funny.

ETA: I think the most likely contenders for the next Temptation, which is the most powerful one yet, are Kevin and Alex. I really hope Alex gets it because I trust her more than Kevin, but I still don't actually trust her to use it right lol.

The feeds have been down over 5 hours now.  Either it's a very long comp or they forgot to flip the feeds back on.  Remember that happened once 3 or 4 years ago?  The feeds were down for a veto for something like 10+ hours and when they finally came back up it was so long after the comp that we couldn't tell who won.  That'd be hilarious if that happened again.

Was that when it came back up and everyone was asleep in bed? 'Cause that was equal parts hilarious and sucky.

ETA: Paul won Veto. It sounds like it was part eating stuff? Cody and Jessica looking that bummed out while dressed like frogs is awesome.

I don't know how these houseguests live with Paul 24/7. I'd be locking myself away in a room with spikes on the bed too just to avoid him.

He's gloating at winning a comp that everyone was throwing to you? Great job there Paul and for some reason now he wants to go after Ramses and confront him. Yet Paul would never go after Cody like this.  He'd go after someone he thinks he can intimidate.
