Maybe Wendy should start designing wigs for black athletes. All races of athletes. Kentucky Derby jockeys, bob sledders, snow skiers, Polo players......and ice skaters? Can You imagine a wig that stays on your head during a triple axle?

Doesn't she usually have to stretch the show out until the one "holiday" she cares about, her own birthday, so that she can have an episode where everyone celebrates her and kisses her butt?  I know her birthday, the 18th, is a Sunday this year because it's the same day as my sister's, so she'll probably go through the 16th.  Maybe Jerry O will come back to kiss up some more.  When he had his talk show tryout, it wasn't on in my area but I saw the last episode at a hotel because I wasn't going out until evening.  He said he had a surprise guest and I had a bad feeling.  Of course Wendy pops out and he spent the whole segment fawning over her and reminding everyone every five seconds when her season premiere was.  I can tolerate him more than when he was dating Giuliana (then) from E! though.  He had cheated on her with Geri Halliwell of the Spice Girls and she took him back despite the public embarrassment, and she was always gushing about him or others would make little cutesy pie references to their relationship, and it just made me gag.

When I was looking at the listings, I noticed it now refers to some of the guests like Jerry or Vivica A. Fox as "friend to the show."  The other guests I guess don't have to pretend to like her!  I know she always calls people that, but it's not necessary in the listings.

I think she took the entire summer off over the past two years when she was ill and out on sick leave both summers. Other than that - and I'm not a big Wendy follower - she was always on right through the end of July like all the other talk shows on TV, taking the month of August off and returning after Labor Day. 

I didn't watch yesterday's show yet - probably won't get to it until the end of the week. By any chance did Jerry O make any announcement on his joining 'The Talk' ?  He was a regular co-host the month of May, and apparently he's been in negotiations the past month of June to join the show to replace Sharon for next season. Many are reporting it's a done deal.

Today (Tues), she had a little of that attitude going on again.  Geeze, it must be so hard to talk about everything going on, especially when Norman is researching and getting everything together.  Then, she looked perturbed that the audience wasn’t their usual tacky outrageous selves dressed for a circus.  Isn’t she happy she’s going on vacation the whole summer?  Who’s taking her place?  Jerry?  I hope not reruns.  Oh,I forgot to mention her pulling her skirt up to her who/ ha when she sat down.  A lovely touch, especially with the sneakers, lol.

I think she was referring to a growing field in medicine over the past decade or so: "Concierge Doctors".  These are doctors who take on a limited number of patients, and do not accept any health insurance plans - you pay out of pocket. Needless to say, the very wealthy are their patients. You also have to pay an 'annual membership' to be a 'member patient' of his / her service. Membership is usually through a referral system by current patients (members).  It's usually opened to those 55 and over.

My long-time doctor switched to this service in 2015. From what I understand, he kept a few patients (and picked up more through them), but the rest of us dropped out. I, for one, couldn't afford the out-of-pocket payments plus the $250 membership fee (I have no idea how much that increased since then). 

 

I have two friends who have concierge doctors and these two factors were a HUGE plus during COVID. When each of them had COVID symptoms last year, both doctors tested them at home, and examined them at home - not at the doctor's office or an emergency clinic. Both of them felt it was worth the membership and OOP payments; both are in their 60s and rather wealthy.

I didn't realize that was the type of doctor she has. My mom subscribed to a Concierge Doctor on top of her health insurance.

I'm assuming this is the kind of doctor she has - it sounded like it the way she was describing it. More importantly, this is the service she can afford, and she is the patient they go after - hence, my assumption. 

You mom's health insurance probably covers hospital stays, or visits to a specialist. The Concierge Doc (family medicine) does not go through health insurance, as he doesn't accept their pre-determined rates.

Wendy was trending on Twitter a few minutes ago.  Someone had shared a video of her callous introduction to a story about the murder of Swavy, a TikTok star.  She started by asking if anyone knew him and no one clapped in her audience, said he had a lot more followers than her, Norman pointed out Wendy has more Instagram followers, she replied that her son says no one uses Instagram but she doesn't use TikTok, then after a minute and ten seconds of this babbling, she casually reveals that he was murdered.  This video led to a lot of people going after Wendy, including one person who had a list of like 15 terrible things Wendy had done just off the top of their head.  She may have only trended briefly, as she wasn't listed when I was looking at some people's pages, then she suddenly was.  She'd probably be proud that people were talking about her.

    Wendy may have the most expensive health care, but if she’s not following their advice it’s just money going down the toilet. One of the first things she should do for all that swelling is to cut down on her salt intake. Any good Dr would have mentioned that sodium is not her friend. When she describes what she eats I cringe. All that fast food. Caviar and hot Doritos. Siraccha sauce (spelled wrong I’m sure) by the gallon. She must eat enough salt per day what a normal person would eat in a week. I also doubt he’s spends the time daily in her lymph machine that she’s supposed to. For someone who says they watch all those tv shows (sitting on her ass) and eats that way, her weight should be much more than it is. I agree with @Showthymethat she is also probably using again. Her eyes are off and the short term memory loss is getting worse. She is so lucky to have Norman. He earns every penny he gets. 
   The other day she mentioned her cats. Something about noise and how they just stayed on back of her couch and didn’t mind it. I am like @chenoa333and doubts that she still has them. Who is cleaning the litter box? It just seems like something that Wendy would think is beneath her. 
    I wonder who she is having deliver all those meals she eats when she isn’t taking every scrap of food home from the cooking segments. She also chooses what everyone eats for lunch on the days they tape a second show. As much as that crew puts up with and does to make her look good, they should be able to eat whatever they want. It’s NYC. Lots of places deliver for free.

Then again, this is the same Wendy who, IIRC, did a show the day her own Mama died. Looks like Tabatha Brown's dragging has taught Wendy nothing. Wendy should've just given her condolences and kept on moving, but Wendy being Wendy, she just has to say the wrong thing at the wrong time, like the tacky moron she is.

I don't watch this show; cannot tolerate Wendy.  But I do drop in here often to read the comments and I must say....she may have crossed a line with the way she told the story of Swavy.  I had never heard of him; but I am not all that connected to pop culture.  From what I have read on actual, respected news sites, there could be blowback.

I want to give credit to Wendy for the Neiman Marcus story today. She showed the clip and then added, "and they're all Black," not afraid to hide that fact on her show.  I don't think any other black host of a TV show - Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg, Don Lemon, Sheryl Underwood,  Al Sharpton, Joy Reid  - would ever acknowledge that  publicly.  As a matter of fact, none of them have even covered this story (granted, 'The View' has been on vacation this week) even though it's gone viral. Yet these type of aggressive robberies such as this - by ALL races and people - has been going on for quite some time now. And people wonder why retailers are quickly shutting down retail locations and moving rapidly to on-line stores ?

I didn't even bother watching the whole show today, because I'm just over the toxicity that is Wendy but I did watch the Dr Pimple Popper segment and Wendy was crueler then usual.  Just unbelievable that the lady who limps and has those gigantic legs and bulging eyes doesn't 'understand' how people can be seen like this.  Dr P.P. was too nice in her response.

I don't understand all the uproar re: Wendy saying Swavy was murdered. It's a fact, no matter how you say it.

I think her point was that someone who is barely known in the community had more followers on TikTok...and now he's dead. Saying he was murdered just clarifies that he didn't die in an accident, by suicide or medical issues.

I agree. These days, everyone is a celebrity in their own world on social media. No one really knows who these people are, and frankly no one cares. If anything, she could have focused on 'yet another young black man being shot and killed', and go into why this is happening and how it has to stop. But frankly, I don't think she cared enough about that, either. 

Bottom line:   how she presented it caused a stir, became even more popular than the story on the teen's death, and generating more headlines for her show. She can't be upset about this.

Another dumb statement from Wendy.  Just like she gives advice.  Who is she of all people to give anyone advice about anything?  Does she have credentials?   NO !!!!!  It just her opinion which is half assed.

It was "shocking" to see how Wendy-centric she was. In her mind, she didn't understand how "this kid" who has done "nothing" relatively speaking, in his short life, has/had MORE followers than MISS WENDELL WILLIAMS. She does NOT understand social media beyond a cursory knowledge. Her point was that some unknown kid was murdered, btw, and how is it that MORE PEOPLE "care" about HIM than WENDEEE????? She is so far up her own ass, it is gross. I actually blame her staff for letting her put her take out like that. For Norman to teehee along was worse, imo, because we KNOW Wendy is awful. That is how she makes her money. It's the fact that she is AWFUL and so FULL OF HERSELF. Ugly woman inside and out.

She first spoke of him in the present tense, like he was alive, then drops the murdered part like it meant NOTHING. NO condolences. It was ALL about Wendy.

Not me. IMO, one rare moment of humanity doesn't make up for all the arrogance, cruelty and stupidity the rest of the time, as the Swavy debacle alone proves.

  Wendy doesn't deserve kudos for doing the bare minimum when others are doing way more and way better than her, with and without a platform. A broken clock may be right twice a day, but it's still broken.

Only one more week before the show goes on summer hiatus - so only 5 more days of hearing:  

• the dates Wendy has gone on,
• the men who are finding her irresistible and hitting her up,
• listening to rundowns of the meals she ate, with every detail of each bite,
• what TV shows she watched,
• what celeb called her,
• what club or restaurant she went to.  

After Friday, we all get a much needed rest.

Maybe she presented it this way on purpose to get media attention on herself. She's so desperate for media attention I don't put it past her.  For a while I thought it was going to get better because she didn't look like she was on drugs or alcohol. This may be the sober Wendy because she has cognitive deficits either early Alzheimer's or from too many drugs. To me it looks like all the Alzheimer's because lots of it people do drugs and they don't lose their mind or their memory.

What the hell was Wendy wearing on today's show? 😄 I'm guessing it was a dress? It looked like everyone who had an old accordion donated them and put together a HUGE pleated gigantic thing that covered all of Wendy. (Unfortunately her head was not covered.)  

And she just HAD to hike up the ankle length accordion dress way up her thigh! She thinks she's so hot. 😂 

And as always, she has no clue as to who the "celebrities" are that she's talking about. Especially the Real Housewives of NYC. Wendy thinks Ramona Singer owns a fabric store!😂😂😂

Thank you god for giving us Norman! Unfortunately, Norman can't see that he deserves better and he's worth more than WW will ever pay him.

Don’t forget Wendy put up a photo of her cats today. She also made some silly gesture about how her cats act and look like when she gets home. I’ve had cats all my life. They don’t do what she alleges that hers did.

Wendy called a fire escape a fire hydrant when talking about Rihanna and Rocky A$AP.  Apparently they were sitting on a fire hydrant!  NOT!  Of course they were sitting on a fire escape.  She doesn't know much.  I don't need her talking about their lunch but I guess it's when she.  Then talking about the weather yesterday.

BTW, doesn't Don Lemon live in Sag Harbour not the Hamptons?  It seems like she spent much of the weekend just watching all the reruns like a crazy old woman. Wendy tried to made it seem like it was so glamorous but I believe she was lying about where she was.  She is so desperate for attention she feels the need to lie when it's not necessary.

Sag Harbour is not the Hamptons. Sag Harbor is fabulous and has a great history of African-Americans and their vacation homes their second homes.  Hey huge money is in the Hamptons. Doesn't really matter except I hate her lying about everything. I'm sure Wendi is pissed that Don came out as gay because otherwise, she could have pretend that there was some relationship going on if he had not.

I missed that. Was it the same old pic she uses every (rarely) time she mentions them? They are GONE.
