I finally saw this episode.  I am not one to stand up to Farrah, but I do think that she is kind of trying to do better.  She does seem fairly normal when she is working in her stores, and is away from her parents, and she is working pretty hard trying new businesses.  I just think that she does need distance from Deb because they just don't blend well, and it causes drama.  She gets riled up, but I think sometimes certain people do that to you, and it does seem like there is something in their history we don't know.  I liked how she was able to tell Michael her specific frustrations with Deb, and how he responded to them in a way that was appropriate and caring to her at the same time.  I do find Deb very annoying, so there is that...I would probably not like hanging with her either.  lol

Amber, same ole, Macy--cute kids and she does seem to enjoy motherhood, Ryan is just plain odd, Catelynn and Tyler need to get a life.

I need to be strong. I don't want to watch this. I haven't. It's on my DVR and I'm pretty sure if I make it through next week without watching it, I'll be off it. But I wanted to stop and comment only on the title: is it potential subtle side eye from the producers, again? Is there anything about The Baltierra houseuhold that seems like it would smell fresh? Amber and Matt's place we know smells like BO, Matt's dirty drawers on the floor of their room and dog piss from 12 different breeds ("I'll clean it up latah!"). I'm sure that Froco place smells like lysol and mildew.

I finally took 2 HBP pills and watched this shitshow. I hope these 2 "friends" of Amber sitting there looking very uncomfortable are compensated fairly. If Gary likes taking digs at Amber, so be it, she's not a mom. She's barely a functioning human being. Leah would be better off if these two shitbags lived in another country instead of 45 minutes away. I can't think of one positive thing Amber brings to the upbringing of Leah.

I literally laughed until I cried when I first heard this, and then I immediately adopted "escape goat kitty" to refer to my own cat who has similar escape artist propensities. (But only once I get her escape goat kitty ass back inside, lest some neighbor hear me and think *I* think it's actually correct. I'd much rather they hear me yelling for her to, "Get your damn ass out of that fucking tree and back inside our shithole apartment, you godamned fucker

This one line of your post was better than the entire episode.

(Just to keep this post on topic: Farrah is a bitch.  There.)

I really REALLY cannot stand people who either force or guilt children into giving physical affection. Maybe it's because I was molested as a child, but it's always been paramount to me that my children have full body autonomy. I don't care who you are, my kids do not have to hug or kiss you if they don't want to. Not even me.

Hell, it makes me uncomfortable, all of this hugging that goes on between adults these days.  If I don't know you, I don't want to hug you, even if we're friendly.  A handshake and a warm greeting will do it for me.  Sure, I hug my friends, but have you noticed how giving a hug is the new Hello?  It bothers me a lot.  I'm very strict about my personal boundaries.

I tried my hardest not to watch this season because I want the ratings to plummet but after reading all the snark here, I chose to watch while I folded laundry for a family of five (tons of clothes).

I felt so bad for Tyler because he opened up to Catelynn about how he's feeling and she just made strange faces and turned the topic to her thinking it's about what she's done wrong and offered nothing to the conversation as she stared at her fingers making the toughest decision to her in her life, which nail to bite next and which one will turn into a hangnail if bitten too far down causing blood.  Tyler gave her so much support when she was struggling, and all she could do is say "I thought you were happy when you acted happily." Every time I watch these two I always see a one-sided conversation because talking requires too much effort on Cate's part and she rather play candy crush or watches her twitter followers for 5-hours. Tyler is definitely jerking off to some porn when she peels herself off the couch and goes to bed. Take a shower and use eye makeup remover.

Farrah - She actually seemed a bit normal in this episode. Normal for Farrah, aside from the bitchy scene with her mom, she seemed normal at her store talking to employees, as I hope that is how she really is and the rest is an act for the ratings.

Her mom is super annoying and I'd probably talk to her that way if I was around her more than a few hours (No I wouldn't, I don't like being mean to people but I'm in a bitchy mood - I hate folding clothes) because she acts so fake. I can't stand her whiny sounding voice and her overly neediness to Sophia's attention and hugs. Creepy grandma. Grandmothers are supposed to be so cute and loving while making apple pie and giving those awesome grandma snuggles, not walking around in leather pants and rapping with her "crew" or "rap "entourage" for music videos. While I'm really feeling bitchy, which I am, I think that Debra has the WEIRDEST BODY SHAPE, very wide thighs and shouldn't wear form fitting clothing. I feel like I'm going to go to hell for commenting on something that a person can't control, but I'm typing it anyway. You don't have to dress like a Grandma but - yeah. Farrah's blonde hair doesn't look right, she can be a pretty girl when she wants to be but I think the color brunette is for her not blonde.

Amber - Dang, you always sound so annoyed and bitchy. When she was in the car complaining about her tooth she sounds so whiny when talking to people. And If you can make fun of Gary and his favorite Dadbod shirt then you can sit still and hear when he dishes it back.

I hated when Amber was talking about how far she's come. These girls haven't done anything (accept Farrah) to claim they've come a long way. Go to bed and shit up about your woman boss crap. You're a boss of a crappy online clothing store that anyone can do, really. You buy that crap in bulk and start a website easy peasy.

The after show pissed me off. I hated Amber's hairstyle and how she gets super cocky when on stage with Catelynn and Maci. Catelynn can shut up about dissing Farrah, she only says that crap behind the scenes, but never to Farrah's face Mrs. "Trashy Bitch".

I like how Farrah didn't give hardly any attention to the fight after the three stooges focused on it for most of their stage time. I hate Farrah but damn, I'd be saying the same shit she is saying about not wanting toxic people in my life even if she instigated the fight.

I really don't understand the 95% team amber. Are there really that many people that think violence is okay?? Scary thought.

Well, I'm done being bitchy, most of you know how I usually post, happy and upbeat, but today I'm so annoyed and need to vent so I took my anger out on the Teen mom girls. Haha.

I feel much better!!! I love this site. :-)

I haven't seen the after show, but they DID film a separate show for Farrah? That's too funny if Farrah brought in more ratings by herself than her three nemesis. I don't like Farrah but I can't stand the way those three gang up on her so this would be sweet revenge for Farrah, especially since Amber said she herself is the reason the show got cancelled and brought back due to her time in prison when in fact it IS Farrah that revived the show and kept it affloat. Again, I hate Farrah but not as much as the other three.

No, they didn't film a separate show, they just filmed their segments separately.  The show started with Nessa interviewing Cate, Maci, and Amber (two segments, I think), then one segment with just Farrah on the couch.  So ratings for the after show would be for the whole episode, so Farrah wasn't referring to that, but rather the whole series.

Yeah, I finally watched the episode and after show...this is what happens when you try to boycott the new season. You're left leaving bonehead posts on a forum. ??

I'm all caught up now. Thanks! ?

Farrah's got more issues than Time magazine, but damn, you gotta admire that girl's hustle.  Taking her TM money and parlaying it into three separate self-owned businesses takes a lot of moxie and, as much as I hate to say it, good sense.

I can't stand Tyler, but I did feel bad for him as he attempted to open up to Cate about his depression.  It is a fact that the partners of depressed people are very prone to the illness themselves.  I speak from experience here, too.  I think they have reached Sid and Nancy levels of dysfunction.

Also, I don't get why a lot of you say "Catelynn is trying to get in with the cool kids" being Maci. I don't see why everyone thinks Maci is the cool one or would be the popular one in school. Enlighten me? Because when I watched her 16&pregnant episode she seems like the emo type with the piercings and whatnot. I have no idea lol. I just don't see her as the "everyone wants to be friends with" type. I can't stand how slow she talks. ?

We don't think Maci is cool. We view Catelynn has idolizing Maci as "cool."  Remember in she moved baby Bentley into a frat house.

Just wanted to add that it's not just TM money she's using to start businesses, but money from her porn career. The show (and Farrah) keep shielding that part of her life from viewers, but we know better.  It's ongoing, too, and my more cynical side thinks these "businesses" are just fronts for the cameras.  She pretends to run these legitimate businesses to hide what she's really doing and where the money is coming from.

I do hate how they showed that Sophia didn't want to give her a hug and deb looked sad. That's a natural reaction from a kid that age.

I would have the same reaction as Sophia, and I've got 50 years on her.  Maybe it's the one thing that can bind all generations together.

If you're worried about giving the show ratings, there are definitely places to watch it where you won't effect the ratings... not that I know of any of course.

My house.  My DirecTV receiver has never been connected to the mothership in any way--it just receives the programming.  If these morons made one thin dime off me, I'd never watch again.  As it is, I do it only so I can kind of keep up here.  So it's y'all's fault.

Was quite happy to see Amber and Matt *inside* the house, but it looks like there's nothing on the walls & the furniture's kind of makeshift...I don't get it.  They spend so much time there, and they have money;  you'd think they'd want to make it comfortable.

I wasn't really watching the show, but noticed the photo in the recap showed what look like Spinal Tap action figures (WTF?) behind Amber.  So there's some decorating going on.

Such a huge difference in Scum Matt talking about Leah's future and Gary's.  Matt wants Leah to know her mom's a boss? Of what? Gary seemed sincere and thoughtful about the importance of Leah doing well in school and how that can positively affect her future. Oh, and I get that you are filming, but Leah is home with you know Ambie, why the hell are you entertaining random confused people instead of spending time with her?

As usual, sorry if this has been talked about already, but just watching episode right now & haven't read any comments. Having said that, WTF Farrah. Your mother literally says, "I'm proud of you and I love you," and your response is, ". . . and when you come here, I'm really frustrated." Shut your damn mouth, Farrah, just once & listen to what people are saying to you!!!!! Yeah, therapy's really working well for this bunch. Oh, my blood pressure's already rising & I'm only 23 minutes in.

And Tyler can go right to hell with his blaming C's mental illness for Mommy thinking he looks exhausted, etc. And there's C slumped over in the corner, biting her nails & disappearing into herself. Ugh . . .

Amber is the most annoying person I have ever seen. I hate watching her even more than Jenelle, and technically Jenelle is worse if possible. Every scene on the show consists of her sitting in the garage or couch with Matt attached to her ass and she talks about everyone being against her and Matt always feels the need to remind her of what an amazingggg mother she is (barf). Amber and Matt seem to think being a mother is only a noun, but it's mostly a verb. They talk the talk, but I never see any scenes of her actually DOING anything with her daughter. She just talks about how Gary won't let her be a mother when in reality she is the only one stopping her of that. Can Matt PLEASE cheat on her and her find out about it already. I'd love to see her realize what a creep he is.

I just honestly think there is no hope for Farrah. At this point, she is how she is. I think she has a personality disorder, but I think her parents are complete enablers. Her mother is coo coo for cocoa, but she is there trying to help Farrah with her businesses, and the way Farrah talks to her mother is a way I wouldn't speak to a nasty stranger on the street. And her dad was saying nice things to her in the conversation, but him being nice isn't going to change her. Divorced or not, Her father should be telling her that there is no excuse for how she treats people, especially her mother. He is always trying to kiss her ass like everyone else does in her life. You teach people how to treat you, and them letting her get away with how she speaks to them is no ones fault but their own. They keep kissing up to her no matter what she says or does.

We had this discussion here before. I think it was pointed out that if you DVR a show and wait for a week to pass before watching the show, the ratings don't count.

Matt summed it all up when he told Amber to text Kristina instead of Gary to ask if Leah could spend the night because he already knew Gary would say no.

This simple statement shows how little Matt and Amber understand respecting the other parent of your child and how they don't even realize that they're acting like children themselves. Matt doesn't even realize that his past behavior with his own kids is evidence and now he's pushing his idea of parenthood off on Amber.

I think it's hilarious to watch them willingly invite camera's and paid friends into their lives to document this mess all the while thinking they're the stars. Ignorance truly is bliss for these two.

Sadly, I think part of the reason why Amber won't dump Matt - even after his cheating - is because he "takes care of her." He probably makes sure she has meals (probably crappy fast food or take out she pays for), lets her sleep all day, drives her around when she does leave the house to get her nails and hair done, drives Leah back & forth to/from Gary's, gets Leah food when she's there, and probably does most of Leah's "care" & interacts with her the most while Amber lays in bed. Matt has probably convinced her she can't function without him because he does so much to enable her layabout lifestyle while telling her she's an awesome mom & "business woman."

Amber doesn't really care what Matt does as long as him being around means someone will blow smoke up her ass about being a "good mom" while enabling her to lay in bed all day. She's too lazy to even care what Matt does as long as she can stay in bed or on the couch. The most energy she exerts is tweeting or going to get her nails done...and that's how she likes it.
