CNN covers every tragic story like a mini series. They give it a title, creepy music and put John Berman or Erin Burnett, etc on the ground for days

I can't watch this for hours and days on end. The politics coverage is over the top too. OMG I'm watching Catchy TV to escape reality 🙁

As far as the return of Stelter. I was never a fan of the show after Howard Kurtz left. But I don't think CNN has a clue. They dump him to cut costs or something just to bring him back in exact same role? You guys are never going to figure out how to right this sinking ship

And BTW shame on them for everything disgusting from the "town hall" with Trump to the way they handled the June debate to the interview with VP

I truly believe CNN could win the ratings by going back to being a news channel. Nationwide and global  headlines and stories, on the scene reporting etc.  no more hour long panels talking Trump. Stop

We'll have to agree to disagree. There are many other issues out there, and no shortage of AC coverage.  Where I would see a problem is if CC did attempt to cover the AC story.

I do go there, especially in this political season. When I get something clickbaity from some other more partisan site, I check cnn.com to see if it really happened.

They are not without their bias, but if anyone knows a more straight down the middle, neutral source, please tell me!

@Palimelon, I use Adblock also, and it helps, but not enough.

I recall they hired Chris Wallace to be a big player on their streaming service CNN+ that was going to make a big splash in the world of streaming.  He was their 'big get.' Until said streamer was squashed a month after it debuted.  They never really knew what to do with him after that and it was never more obvious than when they stuck him on one of their nightly panels with the usual CNN crew -- he always stuck out like a sore thumb.  Smart move on his part to move along.

It's no accident that Acosta was the very correspondent, among all the networks, who gave Trump V.1 the hardest time in press conferences and other opportunities. So chalk up another moment for media cowardice/genuflection.

The one show on CNN that I enjoy, is at 10pm, Abby Phillip & her round table...she always has interesting guests on, people I dont see all the time on other networks, she manages to keep everyone under control, she is a good moderator.  Scott Jennings(who makes me want to scream), did have a good idea the other night: he said Abby should take her show on the road, go to various college campuses..I like that idea.

The times I've seen her, she's done the increasingly uncommon thing of letting her interviewees and guests have more time for their answers than she takes for her questions.

It seems that CNN is quite the mess these days, especially with the fallout over Jake Tapper's book. And I find this sad.  It could rise above typical "cable news talk" if it would only try. Nothing they have tried so far has seemed to work.

First...get rid of the all-opinion shows. Maybe they only have the one with Abby Phillip and what is his name...Scott something. The program is nothing but disagreeing and shouting. Who needs this? 

Have a more relaxed morning show. Kind of like Morning Joe without the drama and ego that the hosts bring. Have people on who are not going to argue or pontificate. That can laugh with each other once in awhile. I find the network unwatchable most of the time.

You are not missing anything. I remember when she moved to CNN from MSNBC ... maybe 3/4 years ago? As dull as can be (I can't remember if "dull as..." ends with dishwater or ditchwater. I also put Jen Psaki in the same category.  At least CNN sometimes covers news other than politics.

Amen! Kacie, Jen, and Alex W with her coy little smile. For me, there's something missing with each of them.  When they're on, I find my attention wandering. I wish Alicia Menendez had her own show. I always pay attention when Alicia's talking. She's a good interviewer.
