My youngest is almost 7. My OB didn't see me until the end of the first trimester. Generally a long as you're taking prenatals and don't have any extenuating circumstances there's no reason to be seen until 11-12 wks.

I had 3 high risk pregnancies and saw a high risk specislist and mine was the same.

There is something off about the timeframe of what is going on. We can tell by the house décor changing back and forth that the scenes we are seeing are months apart or maybe recreated? Doctors times can vary especially where one lives. I had high risk pregnancies and was seen at least for blood work on the day I called when I lived in a large city but when I moved , there was a lack of OB's due to malpractice rates and insurance so the wait was 2 weeks. The doctor would order tests if requested if you had been seeing the OB for checkups (somehow I doubt Whitney goes regularly?) .  Of course anyone can get blood work done to at least confirm the pregnancy. If Whitney was concerned which she should have been and she could not get into a doctor for a week, she could get blood work at an urgent care or a planned parenthood. I think Whitney did think she was pregnant (for a very short time but TLC edit is dragging it out). I also thin she did not want to see a doctor because the doctor would tell her if she was pregnant that her weight was not healthy. Non-pregnant Whitney can say she feels great and doctors don't understand her and her body, but it would be harder for her to defend putting a baby a risk. I remember those TLC Obese and pregnant ladies were so afraid for their babies and were willing to follow diets and do whatever the doctors asked because all they thought about was wanting the baby. Whitney is not at a spot where she can put a baby first.

I hope she revisits her birth control. She said she wasn't taking it all the time. Not only the pregnancy risk but if Lenny was cheating or she suspected he was cheating and she was going back for "friends with benefits" sex then I hope she is worried about STD as well as pregnancy when choosing birth control.

I do believe she truly thought she was pregnant at one time, but yeah it's getting wayyyyyyy too drug out. I can even understand her telling people she *might* be pregnant, but she is running all over town declaring she is in fact pregnant, with no regard how it effects anyone else. Her poor parents in the preview... all of that and it was for nothing, I don't agree with their reaction that an unwed mother is doomed (although I also don't blame them for having that attitude with Whitney... she barely takes care of hers of)

And who knows WHEN she thought she was pregnant. It could have been during the filming or five years ago...

I know I'm a total dick but there's no part of me that believes that any part of Whit believed she was ever actually pregnant. I think the entire storyline was manufactured for the show, spurred by her and encouraged by production, or vice versa. She's a nasty, craven, attention whore and I don't believe there are depths to which she won't stoop.

Well we know (I think), that it was before the folk festival last September, and I think if she'd have been pregnant on the cruise in December we'd have heard, so sometime last spring or summer, if at all.

Okay then, since I really don't believe that she is pregnant either, please help me understand all of the recent promos for her upcoming episode. Specifically, there's a blip where it looks like a doctor is saying "It's positive." The rest of the promos have her reacting to her parents' statements of disappointment and dismay as well her alleged "baby daddy" talking about a crib and baby clothes from his sister. So really, WTF?

I think the test in the dr office was just a urine test, which at this point obviously something in her horomones is off and causing false positives (I know someone is going to argue you can't have a false positive, but until they show or tell exactly what happened I don't see any other possibility) but then it looks like the dr did a transvaginal ultrasound which showed no pregnancy.

As far as the ex, Whitney jumped the gun and told everyone she was definitely pregnant before the pee stick even dried, so that's just them trying to make arrangements, which is still premature... but I don't necessarily expect Lennie to realize that.

The scenes with Lennie and her parents could be airing out of order. They might come earlier in the episode, with the doc's visit later.

As @leighroda said, she really might BE testing positive through the urine test, but an ultrasound could show something else-an empty sac, etc. I've had a partial hysterectomy and still get false positives. It's a hormonal problem for me.

Of course, there's always the fact that they COULD be gearing up for a miscarriage storyline.

You know what? I am so incredibly jaded by this nonsense that it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the changed storylines. Perhaps the original storyline really WAS a false positive. But now, thanks to the haters who have caught on, Whitney has put her foot down and made them quickly reshoot new scenes to give her a more sympathetic angle-a miscarriage. I can see her doing that.

"You guuuyyyysss," she whines. "People are saying that I faked this and that I wasn't really pregnant!!!!"

Producer: Uh, well, that's kind of true...

Whitney: But now people haatttee meeeeee!

Producer: Well, some will understand that false positives happen and that-

Whitney: Nooooo!!!! They have to loooovveee me! What will I say to my Roy Boy and Boo Bear? You have to fix this!

Producer: Uh, how are we meant to-

Whitney: I know! Write in a miscarriage! Then even the haterz will feel totes sorry for me and nobody will be mean!

I can see it.

Sorry, but even if it is true and she "miscarried" (though technically, losing a pregnancy early in the first trimester is usually referred to as a spontaneous abortion) I wouldn't feel sorry for her. First of all, she never seemed to express any real desire to be a mother. Which is totally fine. I never wanted kids and did everything possible to avoid getting pregnant in the first place. But she keeps going on and on about what a negative impact it's going to have on her life. She worries about her "dance career". She does nearly nothing to take care of herself physically and her obesity would make any pregnancy an iffy proposition at best.

And in the promo, this 32 year old woman in whining that she feels like a kid herself (which is an accurate appraisal of her mental outlook) and isn't prepared to be a mother. She's not even in a serious relationship with her ex any longer beyond occasional bumping fuzzies because they're bored. Why why would I buy all this hand wringing if they try to paint this is some kind of grand tragedy?

Thanks leighroda. Of course more skanky behavior from Nit-Twit. Everytime when I think she can't possibly sink any lower.............

So Twit's faithful fans are still posting on her Instagram pictures things like, "how's the baby?" "you're going to be a wonderful mother" etc.

I commented on one that people should know that she isn't pregnant now and probably never was and got mauled by them! It was pretty funny. A few actually asked how I knew so I told them about the "leaked" Facebook video showing her at the doctor.  They still don't believe it.

Also, did anyone see her new Instagram videos with her "friend" Donna? So damn stupid.

She pulled the 'is she pregnant/post a positive test on Facebook' when she was on Heather's (now ex)husband's radio show, pre show.

Wait, one of the guys from the radio station is Heather's ex-husband?  I had no idea.

Also, where did Buddy's girlfriend go?  She seemed relatively normal.

You know Buddy's girlfriend is Heather, right? ;) She was in the background a few times the first couple eps. Haven't seen her interacting with Buddy this season though!

Didn't Whitney herself say she wasn't pregnant? I didn't personally see it but I thought around the time of the leaked video she posted pics from the premier party and she was drinking? I thought she made an announcement soon after that she was not pregnant but could not talk about it until it aired... did I dream that? (Very possible).

Lol nobody wants to hear about Whitney's fuzzy bumping anything ?

I think this would have been a good show if Whitney loved her body and all that no-body shame stuff but also was getting in shape with dancing. Maybe doing competitions or traveling to other dance groups and learning different types of actual dance. Then she can show that fat girls can still get out there and enjoy dance if they want to but also taking care of her own body. I wouldn't have any interest in a Biggest Loser Whitney style show. But if they incorporated dance, which was the reason she got famous to begin with, that would be interesting. Oh and then also she could be a decent person. That would be great too.

I believe that this pregnancy storyline is 100% false (i.e. she never thought she might be pregnant), but if I were to play along and pretend like it's genuine, then Whitney is a huge, inconsiderate jerk for how she treated Lennie. First, she's not upfront about not being reliable with birth control, which is deceptive in my opinion. Then, she and Buddy discuss it like they expect him to "flip out" and try to shirk his responsibility. That would piss me off if my ex talked about me in those terms on national TV. Then, she doesn't give him the courtesy of telling him in private so he can have an honest reaction and they can have an honest discussion of their options; instead she tells him in front of a camera crew. If he wanted to discuss options such as abortion or adoption, he would not be free to do so because you know Whitney's loyal viewers would go off on him like he's the devil incarnate for not being immediately overjoyed at the prospect of impregnating his ex. Rude.

Her fans just seem like complete idiots at this point, with constantly congratulating her despite it being obvious to anyone that Whitney never wanted to be pregnant in the first place and clearly isn't pregnant now.

The reality star/fan relationship is mutually beneficial. The fans' blinding admiration gets them attention from said star's twitter feed, and said star feels loved no matter what BS they pull.

Meanwhile, in the real world, we call out the co-dependent relationship.

Not the Charlotte radio station, the Greensboro one she was a producer on, pre bffl.

And isn't Heather the one who, during a night of hilarity with the "friends," (which Whitney ruined by starting to dry-heave) advised W to do a pregnancy test?  And she was also around for the bowling/birthday party this week with her kids.

Generally, I could see mayyyybe a week for a normal pregnancy, I think in general they try to get you in asap because whether or not you are pregnant is kinda a big deal, however, Whitney would be high risk right off the bat, between pcos/weight/and prediabetes... so I don't believe they would be so relaxed about getting a definitive answer... I'm not a ob expert though, so I could be wrong.

No,  it if the pregnancy is normal.  I waited 8 weeks to go doe my first appointment.  So I was 9 weeks the first time I was seen.  Also, most doctors will let you take over the counter pre natels

Whitney's delayed office visit was the least of my bitch points for this episode. (Telling everyone before she had the visit, of course, was another matter.)

I remember my first pregnancy, 10 years ago. I found out I was pregnant and couldn't wait to get to the doctor. I figured, you know, it would be a big thing. It took them a week to get me in and then they we're like, "Well, you're six weeks along. Come back in 7 weeks and we'll do an ultrasound!" Gave me some folic acid and prenatals and sent me on my way. By my third one, I was considered extremely high risk. (The pregnancy in between had seen hyperemesis, gestational diabetes, intrauterine growth restriction, subchorionic hematoma, preeclampsia, and a complete placental abruption which resulted in a 7-week early baby that died of SIDS six weeks later.) I saw a high risk specialist for that pregnancy and it was still pretty much the same thing-went in the first time at 7 weeks and didn't have another appointment until 14 weeks. Basically, they told me that there wasn't anything they could do in that interim. Of course, at 15 weeks I went into the hospital with hyperemesis and preeclampsia and stayed until I delivered at 36 weeks but up until then things were smooth.

That sounds terrible (the hospital stay).  I'm dos sorry to hear about your baby! I had been taking prenatal vitamins long before I got pregnant, so I guess they figured I had enough folic acid?

Y I K E S !    If memory serves me correctly Buddy was smaller in S1. My God, he's blown up so huge - his body and face . He's just sitting and the loud heavy breathing is unreal . I don't write this to snark ... Buddy is a heart attacking waiting to happen. ?

The folic acid is usually a 1st trimester thing to prohibit against spinal bifida. If you were already on prenatals then they included folic acid.
