Alicia Menendez said that Democrats need African American & Latino voters to win.

They have to pay more attention to repairing the injustices of Stop & Frisk.

Mika complained about Biden getting criticized for hugging women.

Glaude said it would be a huge mistake to make Bloomberg the nominee. He will not get the support of the African American base.

Robert Costa said the Super Tuesday states are very important.

I surfed by at the moment Mika was teasing an upcoming segment on Sanders and the Iraq war and she had one sentence, a headline, to read, which she obviously had not prepped for as she put the emphasis on the wrong word, sounding ridiculous, and I was out.

Mika had trouble with the words opposition & opinion.

Mika told Alicia Menendez to get some sleep because she was hosting Morning Joe First Look & had 2 small babies at home.

He didn't vote against all the amendments. She is nitpicking his votes.

That was pretty much the only segment I saw this morning and...I'm not sure if I'd characterize her reporting as nitpicking so much as putting on record that Sanders' claims of his complete opposition isn't all that cut and dried. Her complete article is here

Mika also told women that they don't have to wear high heels anymore.

Mika needs to stop pushing her new delusion of the lower the heels the higher the IQ.  Some woman are more comfortable in heels (I was one of them).  Some women marry men who convince them that to be taken seriously they need to tone it down (and apparently cry at work a lot).  Some women married one of those idiots and after their tolerance level had been spent sent them packing (me).  For me, this is not the message you want to send to newbies in the workplace.

I caught Eugene Robinson in a segment I believe it was later Friday evening where he basically said the AA base would not be wringing their hands over what any older white male candidate may have said/done as they have been dealing with them for decades (amiright ladies?).  They will vote for whomever has the best chance of changing our current administration and I totally get that philosophy.  Men now in their 70's said such shocking/racist/sexist things back in the day?  Easier to count which ones didn't (and happy hunting).

During the 8:30 hour, Meeka had on two women to discuss the negative impact social media can have on teens; especially girls.  I don't know if "especially girls" was in the original topic but that is what it evolved into.  There were two women on with Meeks...one from The Wall Street Journal (I think) and the other from Cosmopolitan.  Doesn't Meeka do a column for Cosmo?  I sense their reporters and editors will be a presence from now on.  Joe chimed in (I tuned in late and didn't even know he was present).  Since Women Knowing Their Value is Meeka's vanity project, she will probably be the go-to on-air person for young women and the hazards of social media.

Agreed, just as soon as Taylor Lorenz explains how things work to her (again) and she can figure out yet another angle to make a buck/increase her profile.  Hey, maybe she can get her own emoji!

Joe is mad that Trump is taking credit for the economy.  Joe says the current economic growth started with Obama. This seems to be Joe's new favorite story.

Mika presented a poll that showed Sanders leading the Democratic nominees with Bloomberg in second place.  Guy Cecil said Warren, Biden, or Klobuchar will be the third person with a chance for the nomination. Guy said Biden needs to come in top three in Nevada and win South Carolina or he is finished.

Mika thinks that Bloomberg may falter on Super Tuesday, which will help Bernie.   Joe's "sources" told him that Black and Hispanic legislators could leave Biden if he doesn't do well in South Carolina.

Joe is happy that Mika had an intelligent thought and he could act like a political pundit.

Joe's obsession with using GDP growth as the sole economic metric of the health of the economy is wrong. He was opposed to Obama's economic policies since he was elected .

He was complaining about Obama's recovery act when he signed the bill. He was worried about the budget deficit during that time period.

Joe said that Bloomberg will continue to rise in the polls. He compared it to rise of Trump in 2016.

While I'm not surprised that Bloomberg is rising in the polls, it always annoys me when they don't give the sample size, which in this case is only 527 Democrats and Independents.

I think Guy Cecil is right about Biden though.

Kristian Ramos came on the show to discuss Latinos supporting Trump. Trump's approval rating among Latinos is at 40% in Nevada.

He said that Latinos like the strong economy under Trump. Don't they watch Morning Joe ?

Joe has made it clear that the good economy is due to Obama.

Ramos said that Latinos are concerned about kitchen table issues.

There were  people that should have been on today's show.

Donald Ayers. He's been on other MSNBC shows.  Why wasn't he on MJ?

Claire McCaskill.  Maybe she needs to explain that she voted for William Barr to try to save her seat.

Kamala Harris.  Showing the clip of her grilling Barr is pure gold.

On the flip side. Kasie looked like she was dressed in an old lady nightgown and bathrobe.  And, JMO, that do is not a good look on her.

Kareen Jean Pierre looked adorable as always.

Yesterday was Willie's wife, Christina's, birthday.  Willie wished her a happy birthday and said she is a superstar.

A NBC News poll shows Bernie Sanders leading Democratic contenders by more than 10 points.  Joe said that Biden has to have a good performance tonight.  Mike Bloomberg will be in the debate in Las Vegas tonight.

Joe said that Bloomberg is causing Biden to collapse and pushing Bernie Sanders toward the Democratic nomination.  This makes no sense to me since Bloomberg was not in Iowa or New Hampshire, and Biden was already struggling.

Mika interviewed Joe about Bloomberg's chances against Trump compared to Hillary Clinton.  Mika asked Joe whether Bloomberg and Trump cancel each other out because Bloomberg has said some bad stuff to women.  Joe thinks Bloomberg can pivot with women. Joe should have played his song about voting in the rain.

Joe says Biden is from Scranton and he knows "industry." What industry would that be Joe? Has Joe Scarborough even been to Scranton?  I used to live in Pennsylvania.  The state is very diverse, but "industry" can win it.  Okay Joe.

Mika did not like Joe & Willie joking about Trump freeing Gov Blago. It used to be a running joke on the show in 2010 that Willie & Joe would begin the show with a plea of Justice for Blago.

Joe said the swing states will decide the election. Joe said that Democrats have to pay attention to Biden's lead in the swing states.

Where is she getting this little gem?

Jason Johnson said the Democratic candidates should go after Bernie Sanders. They have oppo research on him.

Joe agreed with Jason.

Jason Johnson was Bernie Sanders BFF 3 weeks ago.  He said everyone should just support him, period. What happened?

I think it was one of Bloomberg's spokespeople that said that he would transfer the company to his philanthropy organization.

There was a good discussion of the independence of Bloomberg media if his campaign continues.

Joe keeps interrupting Ratner as he is trying to explain economic statistics.

What I would like to see is a show hosted by Joe and Chris Matthews.  It would be an entire hour or two of yelling, over-talking, interrupting and bloviating.  Joe's head would explode.

And why do we care that Willie's "best wife ever" or some such had a birthday yesterday.  Not today.  Not coming up tomorrow.  And Meeka was practically squealing.  I think ya'll are right - she is not smart.

I had it on when Willie said his wife was "doing great at 45". WTF does that mean?  I changed the channel.

Mika was squealing because birthday=cake.

Joe said Bloomberg ran New York City for 12 years which is much bigger than South Bend Indiana.

Thanks Mr Obvious.

And spitting. Always the spitting with Chris. No one he interviews (interrogates) walks away without his cooties.

Agree with the birthday nonsense. This kind of meaningless chatter is so self serving and not at all fitting for the format. It does give Mika's brain some free time, though. She doesn't have to concentrate so hard at paying attention and pretending to follow along. I did hear her once again read a tease emphasizing the wrong word; why can't she familiarize herself with the script? Turned it off.
