It almost feels like a real show.

I laughed at Lawrence O'Donnell basically urging Mika to shut up while he tried to finish his thought during his first commentary.

Who told Jackie Spiers that blouse was a good idea?   Yikes.

Truly. Maybe when Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Ashley Parker burns herself out because of her thirst for fame career (like Mika has mentioned doing) and falls down a flight of stairs while holding her infant daughter (like Mika has mentioned doing) then Ashley and Mika will bond like only women who Know Their Value can do. Ashley's little Nazarene (guessing at the spelling) is a cutie. 

Mika was somewhat restrained during her Elizabeth Warren segment, during the part I saw, compared to how she usually is with her. Did she attempt and fail at a couple gotchas (re Pelosi's he's not worth impeaching)?

I'm glad I'm not the only who rolled her eyes so hard I almost threw my back out at Mika's telling everyone about Joe's column on his mother. 

Who does this? Why does WaPo let it go on? They have approval on editorials and columns. 

Personally, Mom Scarborough might have told Joey to dial back the assholey-ness a little more.  Son, you're a major douchebag and could you knock it off with the serial cheating? And lying about all the people you "know". Your father and I are tired of making excuses for you.

Joe's op/obit and Meeka's KYV bullshit are both exhibits of their shallow minds and big egos. Hey, Joe: Everyone's parents die and it is truly something we all have to face and grieve over in our own way. I don't need to know your mom's lessons to you...(I'm sure she was great, most of our mom's were) but you truly failed her and all but one other female by your outrageous adulterous behavior. And Meeks, girlfriend, I know you pride yourself in your lack of knowledge re: modern culture, but we all did the Women's Lib thing back in the 60's and 70's. You apparently missed that era and now feel you are leading some kind of revolution...your lack of awareness is  mind-boggling. I really find it hard to believe no one in some kind of authority is letting this charade persist. I have lost all interest in this show; It's not worth wasting time on.

When they were talking about Trump's tweet about "saving time with less words" and showed the clip from The Office with Kevin, I wish they had pulled the part from the end of the clip because it really ties into Trump. Here  is the entire segment (about 2 1/2 min) , and it is hilarious.

Yes, why does The Post let these ego columns of Joe's get printed?  Why would they think this douche bag has any kind of gravitas?  He is such a con man.  And while we are on the subject, why does MSNBC let these two promote their vanity projects?  I need to stop...will rant on and on.  Grrr.

I missed a lot of the show; but Mr. Kemper did not.  He called to me (I was still abed) and told me that Lawrence O'Donnell and Andrea Mitchell were on.  I wondered why; will they come on if Joe isn't there?  

When people say that Meeka is "hyper" - that is when I think she is delusional about being Large and In Charge.  She looks for any opportunity to push KYV.  She will find a way to use Ashley Parker - or any other woman who is accomplished - in order to promote her "brand".  When we all know her brand is using peroxide, push-up bras, legs in the air (feet wearing stilettos), and marrying your boss to get ahead.  Who can blame her, really?  Use what you have.  Sorry, I gave up using the "F" word for Lent; should give up being a Mean Girl about Meeka instead.  Guess it is too late.

Marty Baron is the editor the Washington Post, he was at the Boston Globe back when they did the  series on the priests abusing kids. He pushed them to get the system, with the Cardinal knowing and doing nothing but hiding it,  not just the priests.  And Liev Schrieber played him in Spotlight.

Long story short:   my opinion of him is very high and I cannot imagine why he lets Joe submit anything to the Post but a payment for his subscription. 

Can you imagine another woman giving you a baby present and telling you, "here dress your child in this because the way you dress him/her sucks and I know better."

This post is epic.  Loving it!!!   Meeks needs to see this.  It won't register, of course, but it will piss her off at least.  She's about as self-aware as the wall across the room from me.  My dog is more introspective.

I am very incensed about the college admissions cheating scandal which was discussed on the show.  I find Mika's theatrical mock shock somewhat galling as I imagine she's the type who might just participate in one of these schemes.   FWIW, I think it's unfair that Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are taking the brunt just because they're celebrities when 48 others were also indicted.  Why aren't their names in headlines, why aren't photogs chasing them to the courthouse?   Although Lori Loughlin's case is especially disgusting given that her spoiled and beautiful Kardashian-like daughter is a youtube star who apparently doesn't give a hoot about getting an education.   

The more grievous crimes seem -- to me at least -- to have been committed by the college coaches and others who accepted big payouts to fudge the acceptances, like the coach who helped get someone admitted as a soccer star when the girl had never played soccer.  But so far their stories are afterthoughts compared to the celebrity arrests.   I only wish they had nabbed William H. Macy too, as he is said to have participated in discussions about the scam.   Can't stand that guy.

Hopefully others will be indicted.   The mastermind of the scam claimed today to have helped as many as 750 families cheat to get their kids into their colleges of choice.

That's 750 kids who didn't get in because these people cheated.  And this is only one guy's scam.  Wonder how many other guys out there are helping rich parents cheat hard working non-rich kids out of admission to universities.

Was that the show they did on the White House Lawn after the Correspondent's Dinner? Mika wore dark sunglasses throughout the show.

She needs to sit that one out. Mika admitted multiple times her father wrote her private school application(s?). Does she think she got into Williams on her own, with the lowest SAT scores ever? Her parents may not have bribed, but it wasn’t her brain that got her in. (And it could be a coincidence one of her daughters has only attended universities Zbig was linked to right up to his passing, but still...)

No. Although that also was classic MJ - I had forgotten that one. They were still playing We've Got A Secret at the time of the lawn show. The Morning Drunk show was in-studio, after their relationship was public. I wish I was better at using the search feature here because I'm almost certain it was when you were still doing your detailed show logs every day.
