Mika is such an Ice Queen Beotch. About 7:15, when they were talking about Stormy Daniels, Mika said "This  (insert 1 second discernable pause) ..woman." Ok Mika, doesn't Stormy also Know Her Value?  I don't know (or care) about her background and why she got into porn and bought gigantic breast implants, but perhaps she wasn't born into an influential family and had to make do?  And from what I understand she was at one point at the top of her business and now has transitioned into making adult films, and has a child.  Doesn't that sound like Success?  Perhaps she didn't have a leg up by being the daughter of a former top government official, going to a private school and capturing the eye of her co- host who argued for a bonus for her.

Do #joeandmika still have the tres romantic pics of themselves up around commercials? I’m a cord cutting millennial and stream via the app so the commercial situation is a bit different on my end. I remember when I found out they have a private photographer. What does he shoot if his photos aren’t used on the show anymore? They haven’t updated the MoJoe Instagram or Flickr in months. It’s all quite weird, their branding is really slipping.

Yes, this show has gotten boring.  We can predict almost everything...from the Hollywood Squares "look"...Mika's scarves..bashing Trump...same panelists..same bloviating from the host.  I've been tuning in to CBS This Morning a little.  They were just interviewing Michael Cohen's lawyer (lawyer for a lawyer?  You can't make this stuff up).  Instead of interrupting and shouting, there were intelligent questions from all three hosts.  The looks on Norah O'Donnell's face were priceless.  All the hosts were sitting around the table with the guest.  I tried CNN, but some of the interviews go off the rails; they seem to have guests on for the sole purpose of conflict and Mediaite recaps.  Then tuned in to HGTV...found the usual Fixer Upper/Chip/Joanna marathons.

It is almost like the two hosts on MJ really don't care that much about their own show; they appear at will...their guests can't engage all that much because they are in different places.  It would seem to me that as MSNBC viewers..we deserve better than this.  Either get your fannies into the same studio...appear together as hosts...sit with your guests...or find other employment.  Jesus.  Guess I'm in a bad mood.  And sorry, I have said all this before.  Just frustrated...this show could be so much better and engaging.  Instead we are stuck with "snark watching" - which can be fun.  But we could snark about almost anything..even a good show.  I could really listen to discussions of the attempts to privatize the VA (pox on this idea)...the attempt of the Justice Department to weaken the FBI (especially FISA warrants)..discussion of different state elections..the true impact of the election hacking..climate change...etc.  And maybe some different reporters once in awhile.  Except for Heidi!  Is Podhertz on here often?  He can be an unknown...sometimes really funny...sometimes crabby.

Mika's family has a very interesting history. Mika's grandfather was posted at the Polish consulate in Montreal. If he had been in poland, he would probably have been killed by the Nazis or Russians.

I agree. I have been a loyal viewer of this show since 2008. I have posted recaps on a regular basis since 2009 on Television Without Pity & now on this forum. The fact that I can't even do a proper recap is frustrating. I used to care what Mika & Joe & more importantly what their guests said. now, I know in advance what Joe will say about virtually every topic. It's obvious that they don't prepare for interviews anymore.

I hope the ratings fall so that MSNBC gets the message. Does the network have a viewer complaint hotline?

I feel you, Kemper. I was thinking about that while absentmindedly wondering if it was possible for Mike Barnicle to be any more unwatchable than he already is. That's how bored I was before moving on. It's bad enough when Joe is in his bunker, but when Mika and Joe both get their separate bunkers... holy hell it's a mess. AND there's no logical reason for it! They can't convince me there's not enough space wherever Mika has set up shop, or that the camera can't pan out. Does this all go back to Mika being incredibly uncomfortable at any direct mention of their romantic relationship? They can't share a bunker incase people think, heaven forbid!, they share a bed? And, honestly, if so, she has some problems she needs to work out. Good god, she's 50 not 13.

I saw it on a video on youtube from yesterday. It's a really weird place for a bruise if she ran into something, as that would be on your cheekbone, It looks like it's on the soft tissue directly under her eye.

Ratner gently slapped her down, saying that everyone knows that Facebook is packaging user data to marketers.  Most people are aware, and nearly all participants don't mind.  Mika is just finding out about ads and marketing, apparently, and thinks it's a vast conspiracy. He and another guest tried to gently lead her to the real abuses where Facebook has fallen short, and she just changed the subject.
The internet and Facebook must be to Barnicle what horses or ships or guns or armor were to the original inhabitants of the New World.

Joe has a major hard on for Michael Avennati, and like you all mentioned,it's getting old really fast.  It's right up there with his hatred of President Obama. 

Others have pointed out to Joe that Avennati has Trump not knowing whether to shit or go blind, and that's something Joe & Mika have been trying to do for the last year. They're still trying to dine out on the bleeding face comment, but the real proof of how powerful an opponent is when Trump says nothing. 

Please for the love of God let them be off next week and somebody else run this shit show.

Exactly. FB is going nowhere.  I have never used it on my phone, and I don't use the apps or have even a photo of myself posted. If they can get some deep personal info about me off a picture of my garden. then have at it. 

The best comment I have seen re Facebook was on The Onion last week.  "Most Facebook users say having personal data compromised was worth getting to watch that little fucker squirm."

Joe defended NRA members who are more reasonable than the leadership of the NRA. Joe said members of Congress should take the cheques from the NRA but vote against them.

Friday Recap. Mika & Joe are still in separate bunkers. Mika is wearing a pink scarf. Joe refuses to use his glasses.

Joe was happy that Trump went further than Obama in arming Ukraine.

Elise Jordan was playing clips of Trump voters in the South. They said the media is trying to derail Trump's agenda.

Joe mocked Trump for trying to get the military to pay for the wall with Mexico.

Joe said Bush allowed Putin to invade Georgia & Obama allowed Putin to invade Ukraine.

Joe blamed some  Democrats for believing that George W bush plotted the 9-11 attacks.

Elise admitted that she worked for Ashcroft America polling group. It's odd. Morning Joe usally allows friends of the show to come up with fancy titles like Professor of Public policy for Harold Ford Jr.

It's interesting that he has not been back on Morning Joe since he was cleared of the scandal at Goldman Sachs.

Mika is usually a strong defender of panelists that are accused of sexual misconduct.

Donny Deutsch was on the show but he didn't say much.

Carol Lee was in the Library. She is happy that Trump's lawyers are making mistakes.

Trump can't find good lawyers.

It's amazing how easy it is for Morning Joe to come up with a narrative that Democrats are dead in the Midwest. Clinton lost Michigan, Pennsylvania & Wisconsin by less than 200K votes out of 135M votes cast. Hillary did do better than Obama in Texas & Arizona.

Stupid one-percenter Scarborough thinks people bringing personal lawsuits against Fox is the way to send them the message that their behavior is unacceptable.

A-hole apparently doesn't understand that to hire a lawyer you need MONEY.  Lots and lots of MONEY.   More than most people can put their hands on or can justify risking on a case as iffy and subjective as a defamation suit.   And the only lawyers who take on pro bono cases are licensed to practice on TELEVISION DRAMAS only.   If you have no money, you have no voice.   No legal standing.   If you have no money, lawyers don't want to talk to you.  Hell, sometimes even if you do have money they'll brush you off because your case isn't "sexy" enough and they might have to work too hard.

But in Scarborough Country, everyone just picks up the phone and calls fucking Matlock who saves the day.

This show is pretty unbearable this morning.   I quit New Day because of Alison Camerota's "Trump voter" panels.   Now this show is doing it too.  

That, and Scarborough's reprehensible defense of Laura Ingraham, i.e., "We all make mistakes.   She said she was sorry.  She even said in the spirit of Holy Week she apologizes."

What the hell does that mean?  In the spirit of Holy Week?   Like what, if it wasn't Holy Week she wouldn't apologize?   Scarborough called it sincere but when I heard that awful woman mention Holy Week, it seemed like just a desperate effort to ingratiate herself with the fundies.

The interview with the former Secretary of Veteran Affairs was painful and embarrassing.   Getting back to lawyers for a sec, what is the golden rule among lawyers?  Never ask a question you don't know the answer to.   Mika and the rest humiliated themselves trying to get that guy to trash-talk Trump, bending over backwards to make him concede something, anything, that they could spin into Trump being either intellectually or cognitively incompetent.   And it failed miserably.

You shouldn't have turned it off because Donny, who has the actual cred to state this, said that TV ratings come only from people who watch it live, and nobody does that anymore unless they old white and working class (Well he didn't actually say that, but the implication was given)
