Done.

At least they are addressing this, Valley. You should NOT be in that kind of pain.

Oh valley, hang tough. From what I've heard about this type of surgery, you will feel100% better afterwards. I know any kind of surgery is scary, but it will be worth it to never be in that kind of pain again. With the power of the Preverts in your corner, you can't lose. Right, NP? We know.

Feel better, Valley!

I just came back from seeing "Finding Dory." Guys, it is by far the cutest thing ever. I loved it! And it had an adorable short at the beginning about a little baby sea bird of some sort named Piper.

Gah, I'm drowning in cuteness.

I only scanned this page before posting. Goodness, Valley! You will definitely be in my prayers and I'm happy at least the doctors are doing something. Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon. *hugs*

no room at the inn...

seems i have to have a full hip replacement and that is the reason for so much pain.  he called the hip necro something or other which means the bone died..no beds available on 6th floor where those are done, he said i would probably, hopefully get a call from the hospital tomorrow to come in..

i guess i will have to be in pain for a couple of more days and have husband and grands wait on me hand and foot...

in the mean time i have my wonderful preverts to keep my mind off of "the side effects" he had to tell me about..worst thing to do with a worry wort like me..

@valleycliffe oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. No wonder you're in such pain. I have severe fractures before and breaks and know bone pain is terrible, bit nothing even remotely as serious as the condition you deal with. I really hope they get this fixed and you're on the road to recovery soon.

You are in my thoughts and I'm proud of you for being so positive. Sending healing vibes!!

Do you have decent pain meds, Valley? You should demand it if you don't. If you're polite and tolerant with medical people they'll assume you're fine. Tell the doctor YOU CAN'T TAKE THE PAIN and they will prescribe some strong stuff. lol.

Really, it works. ;)

And they are very good at hip replacements nowadays. So I'm sure you'll be as good as new post-surgery.

Hang in there.

my fam. dr. prunella moonsamey prescribed some tramadol i think it's called.  it's tylenol combined with a narcotic that's not a narcotic.  i took one last night, didn't help much so tonite i will take 2.  she said only 1 last night cause it can cause nausea, headaches etc.  none of that happened so i will take reg. dosage tonight.

LOL  told my hubby i wanted one of those craftmatic type beds that the will raise the head or the feet..in a king size tho..  actually, what i really want (right now at least) is a sofa bed in the living room so i don't have to climb the stairs up to our bedroom..

i just want to let you guys know how much i really luv all of you..

The feeling is mutual!  I'm hoping you get some relief.  Living in constant pain saps the spirit as well as the body.  We're with you in spirit.

Valley, my best thoughts are with you! my MIL had a hip replacement in December, and it took a few months before she was completely mobile again. She still has to be cautious when going up and down stairs.

Good news. I have a disease! Fibrocystic tit disease. I never thought I'd be happy to have a disease, but it beats the other possibilities. Now to sit back with a cool drink and images of buttbiscuits being launched into the sun.

Thanks, guys.

Yay for fibrocystic boobies!

I have another candle burning for you, valleycliffe.  Hopefully, you'll be pain-free once you get your bionic hip, and these miserable days will be a distant memory.  There's no mojo like Preverted mojo!

Back at you. :)

You should set something up on the main floor in terms of a bed though. My in laws have a house with a big ass staircase and so they set up a bed in the dining room while FIL healed from hip replacement surgery.

I am sending good powerful thoughts to show as well -- that the new regime gives Sharon good story so that you can at least have that pleasure while recovering. Hee.

oh miamama, a good sharon story would really help me mend with a smile on my face.  guess i will be housebound/chairbound for a couple of weeks...no casino for a month for me i guess.  going to the casino once a week for 3 hrs (including traveling time there and back) is about the only thing i do other than grocery shopping/mall.

thank you snaporaz, i will appreciate it so much.  and thank you for the new term i will now use, i will have a bionic hip..will that make me the bionic woman?

peacheslatour, took 2 tramado last night, helped me sleep a little bit but you are correct, i was still in pain.

gosh i hope the hospital calls this morning and i wish it had wi-fi.

Lol, I think you mean Petunia. I've never heard of tramado, it sounds like something you'd need storm windows for.

Do you have a handicapped placard? My doctor, one Regina Phalangy, refuses to let me have one.

oh, so sorry about that peacheslatour and my apologies to petunia for confusing the 2 of your names...

yes, i have a handicap permit.  got it when we still lived in squamish when i was first diagnosed with arthritis and was almost crippled...dr. klein said at the time to think of arthritis as the hilton hotel.  we know we're there, we just don't know what room we are in.  sometimes, my daughter will take me shopping and because i am so tired, she will often go get the car and then pick me up on the sidewalk in front of store.  she says, when she goes to get in the car (in handicap spot) people give her the strangest looks cause it is obvious, she is not handicapped in the least.  what pisses me off most is when i see a car with no handicap permit in view at all parked in one..

i went grocery shopping with my grands one saturday, there was a shopping cart from one of the other stores sitting precariously against the curb where i parked, so while talking to my grandson about taking the cart over to the cart area, i forgot to lock my car doors.  when we got back to car, someone had actually STOLEN my permit.  i was shocked cause all i could think of is why the hell would someone steal a parking permit..anyway, i phoned sparc (who issues bc handicap parking permits), after i told them what happened, the first thing he said is, could i have the police file # please.  i said WHAT? he said before he could re-issue, i had to report it to the police as it was theft.  so fine, i called the non-emergency local rcmp stn,to report it.  i also mentioned why, and that i was astounded that i had to.  the officer just said that nowadays, it seems, people will steal anything.  she gave me a file # then so i called back, gave them my mc # for a new one, they cancelled the old one then the next week i got the new one,  now i make gosh darn sure the doors are locked when i leave the car.

Best of luck valleycliffe! My Mom had both hips replaced in the mid 80's. It made her a new woman...she was in excruciating pain before & after she healed she was pain free!! It's amazing what they can do these days! :-)

Was he named after Dexter Morgan?

(Deb is my fave TV character ever. I originally hated her for 2 years then rewatching from the beginning and realized she's v like me)

in this picture he seems to be asking with his eyes for a cuddle, treat, or game of tag and realizing you can't deny it since he's such a baby scamp.

He is 13 weeks old .. and he is so cuddly and playful but he is a rip roaring mad man at times. LOL And yes Dexter was my fave show so he got that name and it fits him so well. And snap.. that is how I talk to all my animal babies.. we took him to the ocean for the first time yesterday and he found a friend that he played with for almost 4 solid hours.. they were so damn adorable.

When former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is a member of Donald Trump's newly formed Fundagelical Advisory Board, you know this is in the cards:

<shudder> She makes my gums bleed.

And who will be Secretary of Mushroom Clouds?

Wasilla, Queen of the Tundra? No ... already too trigger happy.

Jerry Falwell Jr.? As he addressed recent Liberty University graduates, he urged all Liberty students to get permits for carrying concealed weapons -- That's a good start.
