This is the face I see in my head when I hear her name. Makeup won't fix this.

Meanwhile, Perez Hilton reported that within mere hours of the Inauguration the Trump administration wiped the official White House site of its LGBT page and all references to LGBT rights.

That Didn't Take Long!

But go on, get your photo op, "Transgender Ambassador."

That she went to DC for the Inauguration and not for the historic Women's March says it all.

I think it's more likely that happened at the hand of the leaving administration.

The woman's march isn't about women's rights at all. It's about progressivism and politics.

Jenner's concept of "help" extends no further than her housekeeper, landscaper, etc.

We could have a lively discussion about that but we'd probably both receive warning points.

I wouldn't say Jenner's cluelessness re: LGBT rights was the whole reason her show was canceled.   There is nothing likeable about her.   Jenner is not warm, Jenner is not funny, Jenner is not charming.  She has no empathy for anyone else.   Her whole attitude is "I got mine."   She doesn't even have a talent to offset her personal shortcomings.  Her only skill, athletics, is a thing of the distant past.   She still seems to believe that because she bought herself some expensive plastic surgery, she has the power to enlighten the world.   Good luck with that.

When I saw that photo of Jenner at the Inaugural Ball, standing there unescorted in the middle of all that activity, towering above the surrounding guests, all of whom coincidentally yet symbolically had their backs turned to her,  all I could think was "How lonely."

Here's Jenner at the inauguration Liberty Ball. Daily Mail, which always does an advertising tie-in for the clothes in celebrity articles, helpfully informed us that her dress cost $1,090 and came from Neiman Marcus.  Just in case you want one, don't ya know. *snerk*

"Caitlyn Jenner looks effortlessly elegant in slinky navy one-shoulder gown as she attends Donald Trump's inauguration ball"

Actually it's a nice dress, pretty subtle compared to some of the stuff she usually wears. One-shoulder design, floor length, plain color, nice sleek lines. People in the comments noted that she's missing the polish on one thumbnail. Hey, where was her glam squad for manicure emergencies?

She's not missing the polish, her fake nail fell off. Unless she's taking a fashion cue from Kimmie, like always wearing one arm of your coat off the shoulder, or always be missing some of the material of your jeans, this is always only wear 9 fake nails.

It's a lovely dress - I'd buy it if I could find $1,090 between my couch cushions - and I've seen her wear much worse. I hate the clutch she chose to go with it though. A sleek metallic one would really elevate the dress.

Don't women come in all sizes and shapes?

Expand

Generally speaking, not men shapes.   From the very start, Jenner has approached womanhood like a Chinese menu, picking and choosing only the elements that appease the fantasy and don't require much work or dedication.   Meanwhile she leaves glaring reminders of masculinity on display.   The gravelly old man voice, for example.   Carrying herself like a gorilla.   Browbeating the other women on her show.   Shoving food into her mouth when there's a camera on her.   Squeezing into outfits made for women 40 years younger, which only points up the flaws in the illusion.   In this instance, the fail was in not choosing a dress more flattering to her massive frame.   The result has always been a half-baked effect, like she wants to make sure the world remembers who she was.

Sadly she believes getting hair, nails, make up done and wearing a dress is all there is about being a woman! She never considered that being a woman goes much deeper.... She has the elegance and femeninity of a boat worker.

All transitioned women I have interacted with IRL are very feminine. Nothing like Caitlyn.

I think DM just tries to find off-the-rack items that are a close match to whatever the celebrity is wearing in the photo.  I seriously doubt Caitlyn is going to find a dress at Neiman Marcus that will fit her 6'2"+heels frame.  She would have to have had that custom made.

Yeah, I was wondering where she'd find ready-to-wear for someone that tall.

Several Koven members probably have to have custom-made clothes or extensive alterations, such as Kim, Khloe and Kylie. No way they are finding off-the-rack clothes that fit over those giant butts and still fit tightly on the small waists and other slender areas of the body. An ordinary woman have a waistband gap of about 12 inches if she bought pants in a big enough size to fit those butts.

"male and female and their equivalents"

Expand

What does that even mean?

Personally, I think the Jenner case did a vast disservice in the breezy way it granted female legal status while the person in question retains male anatomy.   It cheapens the definition of gender, makes it seem arbitrary and whimsical, and plays right into the conservative narrative that transgender women are just deluded males.

The former prerequisite of living/working as a member of the desired gender, and undergoing the appropriate surgery to make the anatomy conform to the inner self, bespoke a unique determination and commitment and accorded credibility to the applicant and to the community.

Jenner's drive-thru approach to womanhood made a joke of it, and in the process not only undermined the dedicated efforts of all those who went before her but also pissed off (and with some justification, IMHO) many women who started to feel that femininity had become just one more thing powerful men can appropriate for their own selfish purposes.

I *think* that's what that sentence meant (you never know for sure with this administration). It should have had quotes around "male" and "female" to clarify that it was words rather than designations.

I was reading it and thinking "their equivalents" was some kind of legalese for transgender people.

I think the full sentence - "male and female and their equivalents refer to an individual’s immutable biological sex as objectively determined by anatomy" - means that trans women shouldn't be allowed to refer to themselves as women or use female pronouns (same with trans men and male pronouns) because that's not their "biological sex as objectively determined by anatomy". Again, it's poorly worded, so technically it could be less egregious than my interpretation, but I doubt it.

Maybe it is poorly worded intentionally to instill ambiguity.   Further commentary would lead me into the realm of the political, so best to leave it at that.

Though she didn't walk in the show, Caitlyn Jenner also made an appearance with the designer adorning a glittering frock with her portrait from that now-infamous cover of Vanity Fair. The British designer spoke to Refinery 29 about his decision to include her likeness on his dress. "I think Caitlyn got a lot of flack for coming out and doing what she did, but she brought the conversation to households across America and the world," he told the site. "That just wasn't something that was being talked about before, and it had a positive impact. I wanted to celebrate that."

She can go fuck herself.   "Transgender ambassador."

I would also add that the man Jenner endorsed, Donald Trump, directly defended Milo Yiannopoulus' right to speak at Berkeley -- Milo Yiannopoulos, who not only outed a transgender student at the University of Wisconsin, but flashed her face onto a screen in front of a crowd of hundreds, ridiculed her appearance and joked about fucking her up the ass (the student subsequently left the school).

Alt-Right Troll Milo Yiannopoulos Uses Campus Visit to Openly Mock a Transgender Student

Trump tweeted in the wake of the Berkeley protest against Yiannopoulos:

If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view — NO FEDERAL FUNDS?”

I mention this not to be political, but merely to highlight what a fraud Jenner is when it comes to fighting for transgender rights.

She won't.  This doesn't affect her at all.  I doubt she's used a public restroom in the past 40 years.

I apologize for my previous use of profanity, but what a fucking farce.

That video accomplished nothing but to get her face (which is becoming more frightening all the time -- the cheeks look like glued-on Joker prosthetics) back in the news again.

Does she imagine Donald Trump cares whether she lives or dies?   She attended the Inaugural Ball, but it wasn't Trump or anyone connected with the administration who extended the invitation.   I imagine more than one person saw Jenner there and thought, "How'd she get in?"

Does she think that because she voided some piss into a toilet he owns they're on chatty terms now?   Unless she's so delusional that she can no longer separate reality from reality shows, she has to know she has less than zero influence with Trump.   And if she knows that, then this video is nothing more than what it appears to be -- a self-serving, empty gesture.

And that pathetic attempt at being cutesy in the end, with the "call me" gesture ... wtf?   This is a serious issue that could have deadly repercussions as desperate kids watch helplessly while the promise given to them, what, a year ago?, is snatched away by evil, hateful, backward Southern men like Jeff Sessions.  Men who feel it's their prerogative to point at people like us and say "We're normal -- you're not."   And say it like they've got God on their side.

There's nothing remotely funny about this.     It's no time to be cute.

But then again you'd actually have to care about this in order to understand why this isn't the time to flirt with the camera.   Go back to playing house in your spotless, Suzy Homemaker kitchen, in your stupid pink blouse.   Do everyone a favor and just stay out of the way.

Hopefully she'll stick close to home waiting for that call that will never come and we will be spared the sight of her for a long time. Wonder how her road trip buddies feel about what's going on. Is Candace still besties with her?
