I can't stand Kourt. Yes, she pays attention to her kids and seems to love them but don't many moms do these too? I don't like any of them really but thats just me.

To me Kourt is all about herself and then her kids in that order. She is just as spoiled, shallow, and greedy as the rest.

I have always, always thought this about Kourtney, and it bugs me whenever I read praise for her about how her shallowness and Kardashian greediness of the past is alllll forgotten just because "she's such a good mom and she's really changed, she's all about her kids now," etc etc. She gets credit for supposedly "side-eyeing" her pimpmomager, but I don't see it. If she really was so "over it," as people give her credit for, she wouldn't sign up for more Kardashian shows season after season. She may love her kids, and be more hands-on than people expected, but she's still all about getting all the fine things for little to no work. I don't give her any credit for "working soooo hard in her store, long before the show started." She and Kris didn't have those stores for too long before the shows started. Maybe 5 years or so, somewhere around there. And it's not like she was eating ramen noodles to survive, either. They had a pretty cushy life, even when "working so hard, running their stores," before this shitstorm started, and she's going to keep the money rolling in to keep herself in the easy and luxurious lifestyle to which she's become accustomed. Don't even get me started on Scott; I will sometime, though!

I agree FinePoint. When she was knocked up with her second kid she said something about liking the experience of being pregnant. My first thought was "You dont like the result of it, you love the attention being all on you."

I like Kourt and I do think she's a good mom. I don't think she does anything extraordinary, and many things she does for her children come with the territory of being a mom, but it's refreshing to see in this particular family of greedy famewhores. She seems very into attachment parenting, something I don't envision Kim being into. She's been shown packing her childrens suitcases - it's a little thing, but when would Kim ever do things like that? Kourtney so kids don't seem like accessories. Then again, I don't know them personally, so what do I know?

You'd be surprised, but there's a lot of women who are like that. I could name some blogs of women who are very much this way. I guess this third pregnancy is for attention then. Though, it seems like 3 kids is the new 2 kids.

I see why Kourt was upset when Scott was helping Kim, but for a different reason. When Kourtney was pregnant and even before, Kim and Kris constantly trashed him as a boyfriend/expectant father. But Kanye gets a free pass for being AWOL the whole pregnancy. No one says "where's the daddy, why isn't he doing all this crap?"

In addition Kim had plenty of dough, why does Bruce have to haul all her shit over to Kris's house and why doesn't she hire someone to put the furniture together?

Some women actually do love being pregnant, and I can totally see Kourtney being one of them.  She says she doesn't really have morning sickness, seems to gain minimal weight and mostly in her belly, and has had easy, drama-free childbirths.  She really seems to love and embrace everything about motherhood.  Unlike a sister of hers who shall be called Ki.... ooops I mean rename nameless.  

 

I am still surprised she and Scott have never tied the knot.  I remember how they "almost" kinda-sorta got married in Vegas in season one when she had her first (televised) pregnancy scare.  I really thought they'd be engaged or married soon after that.

I am really starting to wonder if Kourtney could have a mild case of aspergers or autism or something similar. Oh, it's all scripted.  Kourtney and Scott are getting the so-called "light hearted" story edits this season.  Ridiculously stretched out as the "plots" are.

 

It's obvious - it's a way for the family to skirt the real darker issues in their lives - divorce, separation, depression.

 

Also, it looks like Kendall may be pretty MIA to focus on her modeling career.  Bratty Kylie isn't interesting enough carry shows.  Rob is in hiding.  Kid North doesn't appear on camera.  What else is really left?

I have such a difficult time watching Kortney.  She just seems so fake to me. Her monotone voice grates on me.  Also drives me nuts the way she calls everyone 'Doll'.  I kind of felt bad for Scott when he was trying to get some emotion out of her by buying her a new car, wanted some excitement about the new  house, etc.  I would go nuts over a house like that; I would be jumping up  & down with giddiness...not sit there and complain about a fake rat infestation.

I don't see Kourtney as fake, just kind of disinterested in some of the trivial stuff that Kim, Khloe and Kris are caught up with. I thought she was so cute at the new house out talking to the worker wearing her hat and her Birkenstocks. And I love when she is out as a passenger in the car with Kim or Khloe and they are yammering about some nonsense and  there's a pause, and Kourtney says in her nasally voice " Umm Yeah". l  I think by nature she is a more serious person. I get that Scott wanted to surprise her with something, but like a lot of men, he decides to buy her what HE thinks she wants (which in reality is something HE would like to be surprised with) He knew she would comment on the car being impractical for the kids.

She actually seems to put her children's needs at the top of the list. Yeah, she has nannies but she can afford them and I'll bet she changes as many if not more of their diapers than the nannies do.

I think some of Kourtney's flat affect is personality, some is a push back against Kris's steamroller persona. I think her resentment of Kris runs very deep and extends to others in her life. She's mentioned that Kris has always tried to buy their affection, perhaps by refusing to show enthusiasim for material possessions, she felt she was not allowing Kris to control her. IMO a lot of the issues all the girls have stem from Kris. They just have manifested in different ways.

The other reasons for having cash on hand is to pay people/workers under the table, money laundering, and/or to buy illegal substances. I'm sticking to hiding income from the IRS.

Anything over $10,000 a month is reported I believe, so I doubt that they're keeping it under the radar. I would guess that your second guess is correct, they probably pay cleaning people, gardeners (they've got a huge backyard), etc cash, so it's basically household money.
