So far, Roh is my fav of the SF guys. Granted, I've not given this show my undivided attention when it's on though. He seems to be in the middle between Justin's angst and Andrew's blasè, can't-be-bothered attitudes.

He seems to have been cast in the enthusiastic, striving, up-and-comer role. Except Roh has a family and seemingly warm personal life. so they weren't able to reproduce Luis exactly.

Andrew takes a listing just outside of the city, but trying to get a bidding war started is never pleasant...even in Pleasanton. Justin struggles to find a buyer for his demanding client, Kevin, who expects someone to drastically overpay for his place. Luckily for Justin, Roh pays a visit with a potential client.

He grows on you. At first I thought he was really fugly, but seems to get better looking as time goes by. Probably due to his personality. Andrew, who I thought was better looking, now seems uglier for the same reason.

I am starting to hate everybody on this show. I hate Andrew. He's so smarmy. I hated the way he treated that other broker. I hated Justin's client and I kept yelling at Justin to walk the hell away from him. Nobody is going to give him his price anyway.

Most of all I hate Rohs bullshit storyline. The producers didn't research 1031 exchanges an therefore look like idiots. I don't think anyone watching this show will use Heidi as their broker. So freaking nasty. Rohs client is ridiculous. I hate that the ones being bitches end up winning.

What a difference from LA and NY.

Yeah they're obviously being egged on for these scenes.

It can't be good for their business to trash talk other people, curse up a storm on TV.

Justin snarking on Hayward was funny.

Did Roh say his client turned down Heidi's full ask price?  I thought the problem was that Heidi's client wanted to move in 5 days and Mr. Wang ? wanted another income property to replace it ASAP.

I love seeing the San Fran scenery.  That inspired-by-Madrid,Spain-house that Andrew was trying to sell is gorg, freeway close or not.

Roh's client is ridiculous.

Justin's client is ridiculous.  Who names their dog after themselves?  (I guess someone that wants to make chammy happen.)  Love Justin though.

Oh, sellers.

"I need $3M for the house, not a penny less."

"It's not worth anywhere near that."

"But I need the money."

"Here's an offer for $2.85"

"That's insulting. I need $3M. I need the money."

"You'll never get that. The property isn't worth it."

"You're fired."

I'm not sure "like" is the word, but I enjoy watching all three of these guys. On the LA version, I can't stand the British duo or Atlman so FF through everything but Flagg's segments. I'm bored with Southern CA real estate so that itself isn't much of a draw.

Andrew is trying too hard to be like Derek from MDLNY.  Someone needs to let him know he is failing miserably.  Stop it now.

Cannot stand any of these sellers.  They all look bad on this show so I have no idea why they agree to be on it.

This show is awful period.

Andrew takes the biggest listing of his entire life, a $20 million dollar house in Tiburon, but in order to sell it, he's going to have to work side-by-side with the seller's very opinionated son. Roh snags a listing in Potrero Hill, but quickly realizes that sometimes business can be a very personal journey. In Cole Valley, Justin lands a hundred-year old firehouse that's been converted into a condo. The listing comes with challenges since the seller never bothered to put in the one thing it needs.

Here are the houses shown in this episode (Note:  the house listings will show price changes and whether they have been sold with price, so spoiler alert):

10 Carmel Street, the condo in the firehouse:  http://www.trulia.com/property/3185592048-10-Carmel-St-San-Francisco-CA-94117
Here is the other condo in this building, 8 Carmel Street:  http://www.trulia.com/homes/California/San_Francisco/sold/1672426-8-Carmel-St-San-Francisco-CA-94117 This is a really beautiful building.  I was so happy when it was renovated.

The overwhelming stupidity of having “firemen and firewomen” for the open house – I just can’t.  These are things that are only done for TV shows.  Also, this is the second time that Justin has stated the wrong square footage on one of his properties.  He keeps adding to the size of the properties.  Shenanigans!

Here is the condo on 24th Street on Potrero Hill:  http://www.trulia.com/property/3185018584-2130-24th-St-B-San-Francisco-CA-94107#photo-34  How toasted did Justin look at the open house?

It sold for $1.4 million so we will be seeing an upcoming story of Roh being the hero having sold it for more than the other agent suggested.

I actually thought that this listing would be fake since it seemed to only exist for the education of Roh.  What a load that was.

I cannot find the Tiburon house either for sale or recently sold.  At least I enjoyed the house porn for this one even if we did have the stupidity of the bike ride into the pool.

Thanks for the link to the second condo, my friends live a few blocks from it and have pre-renovation so I have always been curios about the inside, not curious enough to go to at least two open houses they have had over the years (we had places to go!) or Google it but still curious!

I was shocked when the woman said she was an archetict because her condo was so poorly laid out and boxy and didn't appear to take advantage of the reasons that people would want to live in such a building (ie high ceilings and open spaces) and wondered if she had put more of those elements into the unit she sold which it appears she did or they significantly remodeled.

I wish they had shown where an elevator would go in the space because you wouldn't want to take out the stairs but that also appeared to be the main spot for it and it did make me wonder if she put millions into the property why didn't she spring for the money for an elevator at the time of reno when it would be the easiest time to put it in. I always think about the "broken leg, horribly sick, or drunk test*" when evaluating spaces and that house would be fail on all accounts.

*one of these things has only happened to friends of mine and the other two don't happen often but I like to be prepared!

I was falling asleep during the last part of this.  I know that Roh and Justine got into it at Roh's open house.  Did Roh call Justin lazy?  If he did, do you think there are things that Roh sees behind the scenes or is it just in response to Justin not getting back to him in a timely manner on their last potential sale?

Link to comment

I had this on but puttered around the house so I missed some of the details of Andrew's story.  So why would the seller want her son to oversee the sale is she hired a agent?  I swear these stories are all producer driven and fake.  They must have had a casting call for this show as I can't believe any of these people are real.  Including the 3 agents.

I think I am done with this show.

Thank God next week is the finale.  At least I didn't hate everyone in this episode.

First of all we didn't have to see that Roh story.  Really?  Was the fact that they were adopting stopping Roh from taking the listing?  No?  Then why did we have to see that?

Roh has got to stop arguing with other realtors in front of clients.  He should have talked to the other agent in private regarding the price and that deal with Justin was just so wrong and unprofessional.

Speaking of which...dopey Andrew riding that bike in the pool.  What an idiot.  If the client told you to jump off a bridge, would you?  I rest my case.

I have no words for the firehouse except I saw a house like that last year...I swear it was 6 floors.  One room on each floor.  I almost ran out of there.

I try to watch this show for the homes, but the story lines, the horrible sellers who always want more, and the dreadful agent Andrew (especially) make me lose interest.    Have to say I actually felt a bit sorry for Andrew dealing with that know-it-all kid this episode, though.  (Probably a produce plant!)

I must say, that $20M house in Tiburon was pretty ugly from the front. They couldn't have spared some landscaping dollars to make the front drive look less like the entrance to a low-rent castle themed bed and breakfast?

That is really a poor layout in the condo shown.  And there is no excuse for it.  Why were the kitchen and dining room at two different levels separated by only about 5 steps?  Even if you put in an elevator, it would be really hard to have it access every level/split level.  At least now I know I shouldn't go to an open house there.  I'd never be able to do all of the stairs.  The only thing I can figure is she was trying to add a lot of bedrooms.  The place reminds me of the Coco Chanel saying of look in the mirror and remove one accessory.  The designer/architect needed to remove at least one split level.

It was really unappealing from the front, although that is fairly common here when the front is the top level and the home is built down a cliff or hill.  There is also something cultural about not wanting to be too showy from the front.  Then again, they went for the castle look, so I guess I cannot call that not showy.

whoa whoa whoa Roh.  Really. Having problems with the LGBT community in San Francisco.... not a good thing to admit;  on TV no less.

I don't care what your beliefs are - selling a house for this couple and their reason for moving is none of your business.

While I think the storyline was quite scripted, I commend Roh for being willing to share his beliefs and inner turmoil on the subject on camera. He is good people.

I could just eat up little Apple. She was adorable!

In the season finale, Roh and Justin continue to disagree at the open house and the negotiating table. In Tiburon, Andrew's in jeopardy of losing the biggest listing of his career, so he has to play nice, something that doesn't come easy for him.

I disagree. It was refreshing for Roh to be willing to admit his ignorance and prejudices on TV and then try to learn.

My guess, though, is that this was more of recreation to show Roh's evolution in thinking that probably took place some time earlier and not in the context of this sale.

If I were selling an expensive house in San Francisco and could only choose between Justin, Andrew and Roh to list my property, I'd pick Roh every time, even if he might not agree with my family structure.

It was bad form for Roh to confront Justin in public and in front of Justin's client, I think he's probably right.  There is little evidence that Justin is actually selling much real estate.  He seems like a rich kid who decided that real estate might be a fun thing to do but who isn't working very hard at it.

Louie must be the underachieving son if he's 20 and living at home while his siblings are away in college or have moved out.

Maybe the producers gave him the fat lip for comic effect.

Wait he was jumped and mugged in Tiburon? I'm gonna say it's fake injury or he mouthed off to someone he knew.

The show does not say that he lives at home full time, only that he was around during the filming of MDLSF.

Easy Googling reveals that he goes to school across the bay at UC Berkeley where he plays rugby:

http://www.calbears.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=209268180

and that they filmed the MDLSF episode in May 2015:

https://twitter.com/louislemerle

and that he had as summer job working at his parent's business but kind of made it seem like he was hired like anyone else:

https://twitter.com/louislemerle

Also, he doesn't say that he was jumped in Tiburon. He does not say where he was when he was walking a friend home and got jumped.  It seems suspicious that he was assaulted enough to break his jaw but he doesn't seem to have any other marks on him.

Just guessing here, but maybe Louis was the one to contact MDLSF about putting their home sale on TV as a way to get attention or somehow use it as a venue to show off his real estate "expertise." This explains his prominent presence and the quick disappearance of his mother.

And, as others have mentioned, there is no record of the house being either listed or sold. So it could all be for show.

I hope this show isn't renewed. The properties lack the cache of the NY and LA listings, and the brokers are nothing special. Roh in particular is immature, as evidenced by his open house dance party and his glee in "besting" Justin (which he didn't do). Andrew's "client" Louie drove me crazy with his braces-induced lisp and his never-ending stories of his childhood memories of the house. They're not even close to being in the big leagues like the brokers in NY and LA. And they don't dress as well, either.

I think Roh saw his making Justin come up to his $1.4 million price as besting him, only because Justin started out at full ask and was really pleased with himself, thinking he had the place in the bag.  But Justin lost me with his snotty remark about Hayward - reminds me of certain S.F. elite looking down their noses at anyone who lives in the suburbs.

I thought his jaw was wired shut and came here to see if anyone knew why. So its just braces?  Why does he talk with his teeth clenched shut?  I have never seen that before.

Yes, I am so glad this show is over.  If renewed I will not watch.  The sellers were awful and the brokers dumb.  Would realtors really fight like that in front of buyers?  I just can't even imagine that was at all real.  I think the buyers are actors working a gig.

Such bad acting.  Because the whole thing is so rigged.  Andrew is trying to channel Fredrik in a bad way.

Also in this episode, I noticed that Justin's client with the firehouse had a bad facelift pre the final episode.

I'll be in the minority here because I like the show.  It's different from NY and LA, certainly, but it is a new show and is trying to find its footing.  I love seeing the older homes, the ones with a lot of character.

I figured I would like Andrew the most but turns out I liked him the least.  I did like Justin and Roh.  I'm thinking if they renew the show, the realtors will settle down a bit.

I definitely liked this one better than Miami, which I had a really hard time getting into.

I hope it does come back for S2 because I find San Francisco the most interesting city in the Million Dollar Listing franchise. I'd like them to see them do more "classic" SF properties though, like the Victorians that San Francisco is so famous for. And NOT have them be gutted out to high-heaven in a white-lacquered and stainless cookie cutter design. A lot of people love the charm and original detail of the old places cities like SF have.

Anyway, I was cringing so hard when Roh was, like, rubbing his hands together and gloating about being in a position of power. Ugh, did he come off bad. He was lecturing Justin about business being done with respect all the while he was being an enormous jackhole to the person sitting across the table from him. After that embarrassing display I'd never want to use him as my broker.

Edited for autocorrect spelling fails.

I liked this series overall, although that may mostly be because I used to live in San Francisco. It just seemed like we saw a lot fewer houses than normal. I liked the lighter tone of the show, too, and all three guys separately. I just wish the producers wouldn't force them into faked situations/negotiations with each other. Viewers don't need to see them interact every episode, and we especially don't need to see them behaving like a barrel of monkey children.

Lol meaning Hayward < million dollar listing broker.

smh what a waste of time - not even snark worthy.

Ugh! Shades of "New York." Why do all these real estate people all have to be so bloody unlikable? The agents are all shallow douche bags and their clients are dreadful, greedy, money-grubbers who just know one song and that is "let's ask for MORE MONEY!!!!!!" They are beyond appalling. Roh's (speaking of douche bags) dignity-killing ass-kissing of that horrible woman - was her name Brenda? - made me gag. She was such a rude, ignorant bitch with zero fashion sense. Seriously? That hideous jacket followed by an equally hideous black blouse made her look like a reject from Dynasty, heavy on the "nasty." Please someone alert Miss No Class that the eighties are over, honey and that goes double for that day-glo pink lippie. Yeah, it's a tasty commission but was it worth it to let this bitch treat you like the hired help? Roh has no spine, no balls and obviously no idea how a married man with a child should behave. I feel sorry for his wife. She probably has to witness his pathetic demonstrations of his dancing skills on a daily basis. And he even does it front of clients!! Grow up, Roh. You're childish and offensive, as everybody is on these shows but not as annoying as Fredrick (sp?) from MDLNY. He remains the worst by far but Roh is not far behind.
