Season 17 Live Feed Discussion: Watch People Sleep All Day!

Pretty soon, Julia will have to stick with Austin even after Liz is evicted because she hasn't really built relationships with anyone other than Vanessa and there aren't that many options left. Steve, maybe? So I guess she could try to work with Steve and JMac but one if not both of them will probably be involved in booting Liz. I don't know, I haven't been able to predict anything these fools are going to do, so I should just stop trying; they'll probably evict Austin first anyway, if Meg gets involved in the strategizing.

That's why I'm so surprised she dropped Vanessa so fast. She's all Julia has really had, and it's clear she prefers Julia to Liz or Austin. Liz has Austin as a shield, Julia has Vanessa.

I guess she figures she'll stick with Austin no matter what because, even if Liz leaves, he won't want to upset Liz by betraying her. She'd come in second to him on final two though because he's been doing all the work.

They've been saying that Steve is loyal to them, but I don't think it's as sure as they think. They don't know how close he's been with Vanessa, but I suspect they're number three in his mind next to Vanessa and John and he'll be happy to cut one as long as it's by someone else's hands.

[*]More free time to FOCUS on working the other HGs.

From this HOH, I've realized they're all big talk and no action. It seems like they're too worried to even speak to other HGs. This would have been a great week to establish some independent ties, but they both willingly let Austin turn them into one twinny mush.

But without him, I have no idea what they would do. They talked privately about hating John and Becky, and now they're besties after one conversation. Julia said Austin makes her sick two days ago, and now he's her mouthpiece. It's like they can't retain a thought!

From their conversations I don't think it's so much loyalty, as the Twins think The Two Hot South Beach Girls can lead The Geeky College Boy around by his dick any time they want. Which I don't think is true - but hey, if it makes them feel better, Don't Stop Believing!©

This is the most fickle set of houseguests I've ever seen. They all plot with such conviction, and then two hours later do a 180. And then 90. And then a 270, just for good measure. And somehow they always settle on doing what I don't want them to do. It's insane.

Turtle - It reminds me of the subs doing "crazy ivans" in the movie Red October (the moves to check to see if another sub was trailing them in their wake to hide the turbulance).

I cannot stand Austin and I'm not crazy about the twins, and I fear that the F2 is going to be some combination of them. We're getting to point that three votes is going to be very difficult to overcome and they'll coast right on through. If Becky goes this week and Vanessa (or anyone other than Austwins) next week, it'll be down to seven people with only four voting. Even if one goes that week, you're left with an unbreakable power couple super late in the game. If the trio wins more comps, they'll be no chance to evict them. I know you all know this, but I can't stop obsessing about how colossally dumb it is.

Going back a few days, I think Vanessa is above-average in intelligence, but I think Vanessa thinks she is significantly smarter than she actually is. Her inability to recognize that anyone other than her might actually be thinking or planning or figuring things out is infuriating. And I think it plays in to her emotional outbursts- she is shocked anytime someone doesn't appear to be totally fooled by her "brilliance" and just loses it. I think her Jmac outburst is a great example of that, telling him that there's no way he figured anything out on his own. Or going off about how "illogical" Becky was being. It's kind of bratty.

They flip and flop because they play way too emotional. The HOH listens, to the HG on the block but they ignore the sourse from which it came. They ignore the deflection to others so they take what they say as the gospel and they get pissed at one of their alliance members. Austin has really no reason to distrust Vanessa and he knows or should know that she is with him and the twins until f4. Right now it's virtually 4 on 4 and does he think the others will bring a voting block of 3 along. But in actuality, he doesn't give a crap about Julia. IMO the only thing he actually thinks about is dipping his "toe" into Liz's pool. Edited by Waldo13

Austin has every reason to distrust Vanessa. If Clay and Becky didn't suck in that BOB, Austin would have been gone because Vanessa was successful in having James throw the comp to get the blood on Jackie's hands.

Vanessa can talk all she wants about how honest and loyal she is, but she is incredibly good at twisting things around so that she's completely justified in lying and changing her loyalties. Austin saw this firsthand; he'd be stupid to trust her after that week.

I want Becky and John to survive this week, too. Meg can leave anytime. Please, BB gods, let Meg be voted out this week and have the Austwins waste their HOH, putting a huge target on their back.

I'd like to see Meg leave too. However, there's almost no chance of that happening. Think about it: who could be nominated with her who wouldn't be voted out over her? Meg is so useless that she's a shoo-in for final 5 as the big targets/threats take one another out.

My ideal Final 2s: Becky and Johnny Mac or James and Johnny Mac.

My prediction for the actual Final 2: Julia and Vanessa.

I have enjoyed this season immensely thus far, and I'm so afraid that the remainder won't be nearly as enjoyable for me. I'm relying on you all to help me through it! ;-)

Unfortunately, I don't see a scenario in which Meg is not final 2, but I very much hope I'm wrong.

Also...another thought on breaking up the Austwins...how likely do you think it is that Austin would beg to be evicted next if Liz was evicted? I mean I could see him trying for HOH so he could be the hero who avenges her, but if he didn't get it, he'd totally volunteer to be sent out, don't you think?

If Liz goes, someone should talk about cute production staff guys being at the jury house. Austin would beg to go and leave so fast on eviction night that he'd leave a cartoon-style hole in the door.

Eh, they are only at Top 9.  Anything can happen between now and Final 2.

So true. This season is is not like last season with it's very predictable winner. However, I will be very shocked if Meg doesn't make at least F4.

What was up with the 2 hour Jeff interviews, feeds coming back for like 10 minutes, and now Jeff interviews again? So weird.

Peach, the best part was (and I am so going to hell for finding this funny) when they came back, everyone was fast asleep, and people in the chat room were joking that they drank Vaness's kook-aid and were all dead. James sprawled out on his bed was pretty convincing.

Okay, from what I can suss out, Steve and Meg were chosen to play in veto.  I don't know who the third one is.  The twins are going to emphasize to them that they want the nominations to stay the same.  They are talking about how Becky should keep them the same as well (hahahahahahaha, okay, they admit that they understand why she would take herself down).

Liz is now talking about how Austin makes the HOH so easy for her by doing all the work for her.  Sigh.  I'm starting to root for an Austin win over a twin win should they be the last standing, because HE IS DOING ALL THE WORK for them!!!!

Apparently John told Austin he'd throw the Veto to him. And Austin believed him. And said "He's a good guy!"

I hope Austin has a hard power crash after this week.

A couple of items from Joker's:

This made me laugh more than it should have:

2:01 PM Austin talks with tuna in his mouth, chokes and spits it all over the glass table in HOH. He's a tad flustered & flummoxed. -AdamAndEvel

2:01 PM Twins laughing at Austin because he has tuna in his hair now. -AdamAndEvel

Like his hair doesn't smell bad enough!

Also:

2:02 PM Twins whining that now the HOH will smell like tuna. Austin told Steve to tell JMac to not throw it but not use it if he wins. -AdamAndEvel

Is he for real??

Becky winning would kill Vanessa. So, that would be something to look forward to. I like Johnny Mac (hysterical DR's) but he really looks like he's asleep even when he's awake. I'm not sure if he even likes playing the game & I'd be okay if he left. It would be awesome if Vanessa was backdoored just for the sure insanity of it all. In the end, let's just get Steve outta there. I.just.cant.with.him.anymore.

JMac deserves to go home if he throws it. The funny thing is he would go home if he threw it to Becky. There's no way he's that stupid, right? Right???

His crush on Becky is really pathetic to watch. Last night he was trying to defend her to Austin and Liz. Austin was like, "she never mentioned protecting you. She just talks about her team (James/Meg)." He obviously didn't get the hint.

That's a good draw for Becky and JMac, especially if it's OTEV. Steve will throw it, Austin sucks. Then there's Meg.

James is hosting, so no OTEV.  It's typically OTEV himself who hosts.  It's probably either the Zingbot one or the Stay/Fold one.

What is he doing?

Who knows! His game play is not good lol.

His crush is really embarrassing. She doesn't like him that way at all. She has referred to James/Meg(/Jackie) as '[my] team' herself in front of John lol.

I'm actually surprised that hasn't been more of a "storyline" on the CBS show because it's pretty ridiculous and it really is pathetic. And it's not like he hasn't been given hints. It seems to be a pattern with him though - I wonder how surprised he'll be finding out how little Shelli and Clay thought of him during the game.

It's crazy that I thought he was laying low and observing, gathering information to come on strong at the end. I don't even think he's a rat anymore. I think he's just clueless.

If it is Zingy, I feel sorry for the person in the costume. I've seen people talking about how hot it is today in that area.

Remember that one year when Zingbot had like heat exhaustion. Poor guy. It's 102 where they are right now and they have an excessive heat warning. I figure they might wait until later tonight to do veto.

It probably hasn't been a storyline precisely because it really makes John seem pathetic and dumb and he's the fan fave.

That's true. His edit looks like it's put together by his family members.

The strange thing about his crush on her is she flat out turned him down when he proposed a F2. And this was before she was ever aligned with the Jackie/James/Meg group. She was all alone and still said no thanks. LOL. She also compared him to useless fat fuck Spencer frrom BB15.

I think when Becky refers to "my team", she is referring to "votes in my back pocket".  It's a manager's "my team" reference.  She thinks she is in charge, which is why she was appalled they didn't follow her instructions on the last eviction. I think that's why she doesn't see it as an insult to John to refer to them [mistakenly] that way.

A lot of Jecky fans seem to think she's hiding her feelings for him for game purposes. I mean I guess it's possible, but even when they're alone she doesn't seem to give one shit about him lol.

I think she was appalled and upset until it became clear that her being a rat story was told to them by Vanessa and confirmed to them by Shelli, so that is when she went back downstairs and was "on board" with what they wanted to do, to repair any relationship she had with them.

BB14, I think? I look forward to him every year, because there's always someone in the house who I think is going to get zinged hard and then whine about it for days. My money is on Vanessa this year. Or maybe Austin, if it's about his odor issue.

Somehow, I think Austin & the Wonder Twins (Activate!) will end up in the Final 3. Ugh! Of course, everyone will be the blame if there is a Final two of Liz & Julia. Why everyone would allow two family members to remain in the house is so dumb. Either way, it's an extra vote no matter what. And, if the Final 2 is the twins it's gonna be a boring finale night.

If the final two is the twins, forget about finale night.  It's going to be a mind-numbing, ear gauging week on the feeds.

Riiiiighhht?  Yeeaaahhh.

The HN extra this week is pork chops. Damn, that's pretty sweet. Much better than lollipops, hamburger buns, and popcorn.

Oh, I forgot to mention this, apparently John ate a cookie. Now, I assume he'll be getting a penalty vote. Oh wait, he's fan fave, never mind, nothing will happen. ETA: Found a video of it. He actually ate 3 1/2 cookies.

First Liz was playing with Austin's ponytail beard and then when I think it's safe to watch again rather than just listen, I get extreme close-up of them kissing. Ugh. Can't we check up on Vanessa or something? Start Veto? Guess I'll keep just listening.

ETA: from Jokers

Liz: "You're pretty sexy even though you have tuna fish in your hair and choke it up all over the HOH room." NT

He said a few minutes ago he just got a warning since he went to the DR. Doesn't mean there might not be something else though. Austin said yesterday that he shouldn't get a penalty vote because he did it accidentally and went to the DR right away, unlike Audrey. He's just lucky Steve caught him.
