Or that is a really fast trip to FL. lol Meanwhile, Meagan P (chainsmoking voice) is in the area, hanging out with Michelle Keys! I'd love to think she is trying out again (she seriously looks SO amazing) but I doubt she wants to put herself through that again! Link to comment

DCCFAN71 May 1, 2015 Share May 1, 2015 Also I wonder if Kelli's daughter is graduating this year which might play into scheduling also. I believe her daughter is a Junior in high school. I really don't think Kelli's daughter Sam will audition, she seems very determind with her Ivy League Colleges that she wants to attend. She does do cheerleading and I'm sure could get on the team if she wanted to but I don't think she would audition. (But she'd get the same if not more judgement than Cassie had so it's so not worth it). Though I think one of her best friends Victoria Kalina who's mom was a former DCC (Tina Kalina) might audition she has dcc at the end of her twitter name already, so I think she's going to be really interested in trying out. I agree. Tina and Kelly are BFF's. Remember Tina is the one that they invited to TC last year, and she made that comment about Chandler. 1 Link to comment

Does Sam go and help out someone? or is she allowed to watch? I know they said the auditions aren't open to the public but man, that would be an awesome perk as a judge's kid! To sit out of the way somewhere and watch everything. Samantha watches. I've been following her for about 2 years. It seems that she is also allowed to take a few friends with her from her cheer team. I would love to watch too. Link to comment

I think with a makeover she could really become more polished and have that DCC look Link to comment

I can't think of anyone from last year but there were two from previous seasons. *Amy Andrus a former TCC from season 7 (I think) made the 2014-15 R&B. *Miranda Jones was on the 2013-14 R&B. I don't know if she auditioned for the DCC last year but she did audition in previous seasons. Last year she auditioned for the Mavs and made it to TC but not the squad. I thought it was Megan too but I don't think it's her. In one of the pictures of the grils sitting in the stands there are 2 girls that look like current Ice Angels Raven and Kelsey. I guess CMT did not listen to the fans who were not happy with her mentoring last year. Imo, seasons 8 and 9 were the worse seasons the show ever had. Link to comment

Kaedee May 2, 2015 Share May 2, 2015 I liked Melissa Rycroft as a mentor, though I don't think they'll use her this year. She's going to be on the road with Dancing with the Stars. Can she do both? Maybe. The only scene I didn't like was the one in the coffee shop, but otherwise I liked her. But I think it's important for the girls to have an advocate. I wouldn't mind seeing Brooke Nix or another Vet as a trade off. I've liked all seasons of DCC:MTT except S8. Don't know why, but I think it's because it didn't make sense. Why keep Morgan and Kaitlyn? 1 Link to comment

I thought it was odd that all the current DCC were posting on Twitter to encourage folks to try out. Plus Kelli went on a local morning show to encourage landis to try out. I think I saw Shelbi, one of the Texas Star dancers whose auditioned before. She has the number 1. Seems like the same Ice Angels (except no Vivian) that auditioned last year. I think as the show gets a very public airing, there are going to be fewer of the fringe candidates trying out, like those we saw in the early years of DCC:MTT. Girls who are heavy, have no professional dance training or cheer experience will probably think twice about attempting the audition process because they aren't shown in a very good light. I know Kelly tries to moderate her comments, but she can't help but wonder why girls who couldn't possible fit into the uniform try out. Plus, I'd think the smaller but more bankable the candidate pool would make judging easier and not such a long, drawn out process. When there are only 12-13 Rookie positions available (not counting Vet cuts), over 300 candidates is a good number. Edited May 2, 2015 by Kaedee 2 Link to comment
