Anyone know when Thomas got out of jail?  JD made it sound like it was just before filming S1.

 

 

Here's a story about his case. It doesn't say when he did report to prison, but it was probably in mid 2008 which means he would have gotten out sometime in 2009, so no, his release wasn't "recent". I laughed at JD's comment. Thomas looked embarrassed.

Thomas was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison in March of 2008 (but didn't have to start his sentence that day), and he was released on 03/27/2009.

I wouldn't want her to be a regular on the show...with that said, I would have loved for her & Danni to contribute their opinions on T-Rav & Kathryn. They both were very supportive to Kathryn & their opinions would give us some background on the truth of the actions and/or motives of Kathryn. Then again...I just answered my question as to why they weren't invited...mystery to get us to Season 3.

Here's a warm fuzzy: Cooper retweeted that he, Cameran, and Shep are hosting a fundraiser at Republic (where, according to Craig, Shep and Kath once made out) for Caitlyn, the dog who had has mouth duck taped shut.

Cooper also tweeted a picture of himself with Brian Kessler (or is it Kestler?), one of the producers of SC , at Generalissimo. Brian is also Whitney's restaurant partner and made cameo appearances both seasons.

I'm going to assume that if there is a season 3, that Cooper will play a bigger part. That's what I hope for, anyway. Much prefer him to Twitter happy Jennifer.

Tidbits from an interview with Shep on Pop Sugar:

1. A radio station put up all the money to bid on Craig at the auction.

2. He and Craig are very good friends. Shep picks him up at the airport and has him stay in his guest room whenever he's in town.

3. The situation with Craig was not nearly as melodramatic as Bravo portrayed it. Said that there were many funny things that were filmed but we're not shown.

4. The situation with T-Rav and Kathryn is even more outrageous than what is shown. Shep said that Bravo was "nice" with their edit.

5. Shep met Whitney through T-Rav at a rooftop party.

I am just dying to see an "Un-aired Footage" 30-minute special hosted by Andy, Shep, and Cameran. Whitney can stay home and drink with his mom. 

 

I'll bet Andy is holding it hostage as blackmail ("blackfootage"?) to make T-Rav sign up for another season -- as if that old fame whore wouldn't do it, despite all his Facebook rantings about being "done" with the show. Just wait until Kathryn or T-Rav's lawyers subpoena the footage to prove in court how crazy the other is. Probably would backfire though, as both are equally terrible.

 

Edited to add: When the custody and child support case does bust out, and we know it will, I can see Thomas spending on legal fees at least 5x what he could simply pay Kathryn in a monthly check until Kensie is 18. A man who says "I will destroy you" needs to "win" no matter what. I certainly don't call giving it to a bunch of lawyers "winning".

The story lines Bravo would feature would have to involve drama, conflict, confrontations.

I know that Bravo believes that, but I wish for once they'd understand that we don't all want to see that, or at least not all the time. There's room for some fun conflict, but I'm so sick of the other shows (mostly I watched a few of the Housewives franchises) that I just gave up and only tune in to the NYC ladies now and then if I have nothing else to pass the time.

 

The thing that makes this show "charming" is that the cast is mostly well educated, have lovely homes, are an interesting mix, etc. I don't need to see Kathryn screaming any more. I'm tired of her antics and wish she'd grow up a little OR take some advice from a successful older gold-digger (you know who I mean) and really learn to play Thomas. THAT I'd watch, haha! But really, I liked watching the crew ride bikes and bicker over the route to the beach, or crack on the average age at their resort being 80. I like the charity events, parties in houses and bars, the visit to Craig's parents, and I even like Landon setting up her popup shop and interacting with her mom. The love triangle of Thomas-Kathryn-Whitney isn't the entire show for me and I don't want tables flipped or more birds flipped even.

I think Bravo is seeing the light.   Using Million Dollar Listing as an example....they set that show up to be like the CA version in which the realtors competed and fought, etc.  Now-a-days, however, we rarely see the 3 NYC realtors together.  Something happened...not sure what but it's become a show about the 3 guys' lives separately from one another.

 

There is very little interaction between them and consequently, very little fighting.  I personally LOVE it. 

 

I think they are moving in that direction with the RHNYC a bit too.  Bethany brings fights to the table but other than that, it's sort of a show about the women and their lives - and not about women fighting (most of the time).  Although I understand a major fight is in the works so I may be speaking prematurely!

 

Regarding Southern Charm....Charleston is a small town.  These people can't afford to have fight after fight after fight.  It won't do them, their families, or careers any good at all.  They have to save face to a large degree.

 

I think the cast of characters they've pulled together is quite entertaining without all the fighting we see on RH shows, and I'd be good with a show about the lighter side of their lives.

Since they've been filming recently, and I have no idea when they wrap up, I'm wondering if the tragedy that took place this week will somehow be included? If they are in the middle of filming, it almost has to be. It's too big to be ignored.

They are officially filming season three, with or without Thomas. I had mentioned seeing streets blocked off back in May, and now I have straight from a horse's mouth that filming is underway.

 

A couple came into the casino where my sister works and somehow as they were playing at her table, the subject of this show came up. The man says "I'm going to be on it!" He works for a construction company, and they were hired to fix Patricia's roof. They were all asked if it would be OK for the crew to film their reactions, get comments, and they signed paperwork, etc. He said that she has one entire room of nothing but shoes. When he said "it was a crazy lady" at first she thought he was talking about Kathryn. HA!!

 

I'm hoping all of Thomas' posts about "4 people may not come back" is just him bullshitting, because I do believe he's trying to throw fake info out there.

Okay, so Kathryn just posted a picture on her Instagram. She has to be pregnant. I could be completely wrong but I see a baby bump. Could it be there angle?!?

It does looks like a very round baby bump in the golf shirt she's wearing. It could be the angle and the way the shirt might have folded as she posed, too. Apparently Craig was at this charity golf event as well.

JD is having a fundraiser at Sermet's on 7/19 for Mother Emmanuel. Tickets are $100 per person with 100% of the proceeds going to Mother Emmanuel. Costs were underwritten by a variety of people including Danni and her boyfriend, Jennifer Snowden, and the Thomas Ravenel FAMILY. Cameran, Kathryn, Danni, Shep, Landon, Jennifer, JD, and Cooper are scheduled as greeters.

Thomas was at the charity event as well. He had several pictures taken there. It is odd because on Facebook he said he was one place, but private photographers had pictures of him at the charity event.
