slowpoked March 6, 2018 Share March 6, 2018 (edited) So I got to talk to someone who was involved with the filming and got some bits about the upcoming season. The person is involved with the filming but not editing, so while the person saw the some of what was being filmed, who knows how the producers will end up editing this season. Here are some of the bits the person shared with me. - Even though Craig and Naomie broke up prior to filming, it was filmed as if their relationship was deteriorating throughout the season, and then the breakup "happened". - It was Naomie's decision to not be part of the main cast, even though she was the first choice to replace Landon, so the "honor" went to Chelsea instead. - Austen will be this season's Shep. After being the knight in shining armor last season, he will be the leading douchebag in S5. He hooked up with one of Chelsea's best friends, was still waffling back and forth with Chelsea, all the while pretending to be single on social media so that women continue to proposition him. Fast forward to present time - Chelsea's friend who Austen hooked up with is no longer friends with and talking to Austen (almost ruined her friendship with Chelsea, but apparently they are civil with each other now), and Austen is now banging Naomie's hairstylist. Needless to say, this guy likes to keep his relations in a tight circle, so to speak. - they will reference Relationshep in the show, and Peyton filmed a few scenes with the cast. But there were heavy discussions during filming if her scenes will make the final cut. - Kathryn was having a redemption arc but couldn't help but get into catfights with the new GF. Have you guys heard the rumor that she shafted Gywnn's after she was done filming the season?? Apparently the producers also did not know that was what Kathryn did after the season wrapped. Chelsea said he was out for a bachelorETTE party and then came back home late. What kind of a swell guy thinks it's entirely A-Ok to still do Bachelorette parties while he has a girlfriend. The video doesn't surprise me at all. A guy who thinks it was embarrassing FOR his girlfriend - not FOR him - to find him with two naked chicks at his house in the morning. He is trying too hard. He's trying too hard to be like Shep. Problem is, he just doesn't have Shep's "swag" (and money) to pull of being the resident Charleston playboy. I guess we know this one was wrong, because now a lot of people admire Kathryn for her restraint in not beating Ashley’s ass all over South Carolina. I hope my inside scoop person will still be involved with filming next season ;) Yes, the editing of this show can be pretty brutal, in the sense to actually bend reality in favor of a storyline. The cast themselves have been on record saying this. Craig and Shep lamenting that they didn't show the fun parts of Shep's yacht party last season. Shep just mentioned on WWHL that the episodes on HH didn't show half of what Ashley did, etc. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But oh well. 6 Link to comment

Presenting that footage and whatever we didn’t see should be enough to put a restraining order on Ashley being anywhere around the children. Production would probably step in to say “Hey, we told her to act that way.” No judge is going to give creedence to footage of a fake as hell reality show. I'm not sure running after Thomas/being drunk on TV is grounds for losing custody of your kids. Fighting and drinking aren't crimes. I'm also not sure that Ashley's big mouth threats are grounds for anything. I think the courts focus on neglect and drugs. I binged the whole series over the last few weeks...maybe because I came to it now that she's sober and more mature-Kathryn really doesn't seem so bad. Tedious, young, and stupid to be used by TRav - but if anything, to me he came off the worst over the 5 seasons. I'm not sure if the assault charges will wake him up or if he'll just continue on his path of drunken destruction. 13 Link to comment

Jennifer Snowden said either on Twitter and Instagram that she was specifically placed in between Ashley and Thomas during dinner because production knew she and Kathryn were still not on good terms. She genuinely defended Ashley that night because she thought she saw someone being unfairly ganged up on by having a nasty, unproven rumor circulate about her during the party. But she also said, to paraphrase, that everything else was production driven. I can imagine one of the things she may be referring to was Austen talking to Thomas about the rumor regarding Ashley, It kind of explains Austen - of all people!!!! - be the one to snitch to Thomas, and Austen acting aggressive, even to the point of saying to Jennifer "where do you even fit in all of this?!" Which is kinda funny if you think about it since it was Thomas and Jennifer who were having a pleasant conversation and Austen inserted himself in between the two of them, and then later on having the gall to say "Y'all were ganging up on me, I was talking to Thomas and you're constantly interrupting me..." Cameran posted a snap of her at Patricia’s, and one of the other SC gals posted a pic of Naomi and Danni there on their Instagram stories - sorry, can’t remember who exactly posted. I think in light of Thomas being a giant assturd, the general icky behavior of the SC boys, as well as the #metoo movement, etc., that they would be wise to beef up the women’s cast and storylines. Here’s some stuff I gathered from my pathetic stalking: 1. Eliza Limehouse was at Patricia’s that night, too. ‘Memba her brief appearance Season 4? Not sure if she was filming, too, but she was definitely there. 2. Peyton still has “Southern Charm” and viewing info on her Instagram profile. Her moving to Charleston last year seemed particularly producer driven. 3. Madison Lecroy, Pat’s hairstylist, dated Austen over the spring and summer. There was video circulating late spring/early summer of her catching Austen with 2 other women. She’s gorgeous. Babyfoot April 30, 2019 Share April 30, 2019 According to Pat’s Instagram, Brice Sander from Entertainment Tonight (or is it E!?- don’t know , don’t care) interviewed KD and Patricia. Don’t know when it will air. Kathryn’s hair and makeup make her look ridiculous. Anyway, it prompted some baseless speculation/incoherent thoughts on my part. 1. I love Cameran but get the sense she may be done with the show. I base that on nothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if in upcoming seasons she is used in a friend of position, gradually weaning from full cast member. As Palmer gets older it will be harder to shield her from the ugly parts of reality tv. 2. I don’t buy the love fest between KD and Pat. 3. I miss the joie de vivre of Season 1, in spite of - not because of- the ass-hattery of T Rav and KD. 4. I give not one shit about Austen’s beer business, love life, or storyline. 5. Danni has been radio silent about KD on social media for several months. I know the Bravo editing sorcerers love to make minor exchanges into battles, but I get the sense there might be a substantial rift there. I could be wrong and Danni might have her head reinserted up KD’s ass. She seems to love it up there. 6. I agreed/sympathized with Naomie’s exasperation and frustration with the bumbling Craig. I do wonder what their interactions, if any, will be like. She has my approval to talk smack about him in French. 7. Again, based on nothing, but wouldn’t be surprised if KD got pregnant again very soon. Thomas? Shep? Craig? The aspiring musician? Michael the Butler? JD? My guess is that production could've been delayed for a variety of reasons, but I suspect that Bravo Con might have had a small part in it. 2. Speaking of which, here are the cast members slated for Bravo Con: Patricia, Craig, Kathryn, Cameran, Austen, and Shep. Noticeably absent are: Chelsea, Eliza, and Naomie. Could this be a sign of a shakeup? I actually like those three but wouldn't be at all upset if Eliza is cut loose. She added little to the cast, other than real estate porn and bible quotes. 3. Apparently Austen and Madison are back together. Blergh. I still continue to give not one shit about Austen. How many times do you think they will break up and get back together before, during, and after filming? Blergh. 4. Here's who I would like to see more of this season: Gwynn's Madison, Cameran's friend Leva, and Michael the Butler. Gwynn's Madison is successful, bright and well-spoken. Leva, also bright and succesful, owns several restaurants in Charleston, and is now a partner with Craig in a Mexican/Sushi joint. Michael is simply the best. 1 2 Link to comment

Babyfoot January 7, 2020 Share January 7, 2020 (edited) I would like to believe that the ghouls at Bravo delayed production due to the terminal illnesses and tragic deaths of Kathryn's mother and Naomie's father. That would be the kind and considerate thing to do under these circumstances. But it is Bravo, so my guess is that it was because, as it has been speculated, preliminary footage was crap. It must’ve really reeked because this is the network that made NeNe, Theresa, and Ramona celebrities. Also, don't believe for one minute that Bravo asked Thomas to come back. Definitely said that there are new people but only said maybe (which I interpret as a yes) that some old cast are gone. 2. This season the show has a completely different look and feel than in seasons past. 3. Something that she finds very disturbing/ upsetting happens this season.
