Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

Has that down-liner who wrote the post been selling Plexus for long? She sounds like an eager newbie full of hopes and dreams.

That came from Jill's upline, Betsy Foster Catlin. She's the sister of Jill's BIL who's married to PARALYZED Amy.

Apparently, Jill’s birthday falls on one of the days of the cruise. So she’ll be more over the top and entitled than usual. And I bet she doesn’t realize that the value of the trip will show up on her 1099 as taxable income.

Ahh, makes much more sense now, coming from someone above Jill. They know what they're saying is bullshit. Stroke that ego, put out the carrot and sit back waiting for Jill and her down-liners to put money in Betsy's pocket.

I was just thinking about the siren call of blue-haired women.

True (and funny) story.  I knew a woman from Norway who had moved to the US.  She grew up in a city that was/is a popular cruise stop in Norway, so she grew up seeing US tourists.  When she first came to the US, she was shocked that all women here did not have blue hair and wear cat's eyes glasses.  Since most of the tourist women had blue hair, she just assumed that it was the natural hair color of all American girls and women.  I sure hope kids in other countries don't think all Americans dress and act like Jill!!

I can see Jill wearing :

A long black tight T-shirt and a nice evening gown over the t shirt for modesty.

And a fetching black hat.

Black stockings and the white shoes.

Or a fetching pink dress?!

Dave will wear baggy pants and a dirty/wrinkled bowling shirt.

So am I. It's not only "cocktail casual" but also "evening chic." This should be interesting. She still has a dress from a Plexus gala a couple of years ago that she and Hunk attended but left early because people were drinking, gasp, alcohol and dancing to loud music (double gasp). I guess the dress can make another brief appearance, maybe with the pink cowgirl hat.

The shopping spree is a special prize for Plexusers who have earned 3000 points. Apparently, these eager beavers get the cruise and a department store shopping event after.

I doubt Jill gets the spree, but who knows. I'm in a mild state of shock that she qualified and got her name drawn for the cruise. She's going to be more insufferable than ever from now on.

If this is a general population cruise, I will bet that Plexus reserved windowless, inside staterooms because they are the cheapest.  Perhaps the higher gems might get a window if they pay extra.  I would not be surprised if the organizers or people at the very top have suites.  If you have an inside cabin, you would almost have to spend time with the heathens on deck, but perhaps the lucky cruisers will have meetings during the day.  I wonder if Jill will let Dave roam the ship on his own.  I sure feel sorry for the people that actually paid money for this trip.

Are you sure these aren't models from QVC?  Actually, they look better than some of the Q models.

It’s a plexus winner only trip. Only plexus sellers/boss babes are going.

No outsiders.

Plexus bought out the boat for this trip.

This looks like one of those vacation ads with a ship in the background and a large marine mammal leaping out of the water in front.

Either that, or Jill really can walk on water.

I'm glad there's no Betsy Sue in my life posting online tributes to me that look like this.

Yup. Capacity on the ship is 2900. If there are 1333 winners x 2, that's almost 2900 right there.

eta I just realized that I believe Jill's birthday falls during the cruise. No way she sits this one out!

And I just did a LulaRich re-watch this weekend because I love a good MLM scam story.  I think I saw one of the recent Rod Kids Slip'n'Slide pics with one of the girls wearing a LLR skirt.  I'm actually surprised they don't wear more of it.  Thrift stores are bursting at the seams with it and can't even move most of it out on dollar days.  It's all very "Garanimal" matchy/mismatchy, which seems to be Jill's wardrobe vibe.

Well, this cruise ought to be fun for them, as I suspect there will be drinking (for those who buy the booze package anyway--I'm sure Plexus isn't supplying anything like that free) and dancing to INCREDIBLY loud music on deck and various drunken shenanigan a-plenty on the ship, if it's anything like cruises I've been on.  Guess they'll have to go hide in their inside stateroom in the bowels of the ship, where DBD can sleep off his latest trip to the buffet and Jill can do . . . whatever Jill does with no kids around to boss.  I wonder if she'll try converting her fellow Plexus-babes to her religion?  That could be interesting.

I've also been to Labadee, although it was a while back.  Basically it's swimming, shopping (from carefully-screened locals who bring overpriced crafts to sell to the gullible tourists), and maybe eating.  And the rest of the time they're trapped on the ship.

Other than for the Plexus-related meetings, I seriously think they will stick to their room and do “devotionals” the whole trip. Just like Pris and Pecan Thief. Too much of a risk running into a woman wearing a regular bathing suit or *GASP* shorts and a t-shirt.
And thinking thriugh everything, I wonder if any alcohol will be available on the cruise, or if relegated to only certain areas of the ship.  Don’t want to offend anyone with a margarita!  And maybe they will have designated fundie pool hours where guests are free to wear their pool frumpery and splash around in waterlogged denim in 90 degree heat.

I'm sure some of these women are ready to cut loose, and I would imagine all the bars throughout the ship would be open.  And loud music.  I'm guessing at least some of them will have a liquor package, or pay by the drink.   I doubt Jill and Hunk will have to worry about a bar tab and the end of the cruise, however.  Are there such things as "dry" cruises?  I have never heard of one, but maybe there are.  But I'm guessing there are some "normal" people who sell Plexus (or at least as normal as one can be while selling a possibly harmful product and encouraging others to sell so as to make a profit off of them).  If there was drinking and dancing at the convention Jill attended, I'm guessing there will be on the cruise, too.  And they can't just leave early because there is alcohol and loud, worldly music.  They are stuck out in the ocean.  I think you are right---they will spend a lot of time in their room.

Didn't Jill herd her downlines into some public space at the Nashville convention, where they all screeched hymns for Jesus, duly videoed and posted on her AM? I doubt any of her downlines will be cruising with her. I wonder what Jill will find to do to make a big splash for herself and Jesus on the cruise?

Also, she'll have to pay if she wants to use wifi on board to keep her many fans and followers updated on all her cruise doings. I doubt she'll have a cell signal so far offshore from the US. Heh.  Later edit: I missed the Plexus cruise info that said that wifi is included for one device, and have been thoroughly corrected. Sorry.

Free WiFi for one device. They're nice enough to let you use a second device, just not simultaneously. Not that DBD spends his free time on the internet, unlike his wifey.

Interesting. I read info on the cruise line's website that said wifi was available for a fee, but maybe it was outdated or didn't apply to that ship.

The wifi covereage of one device is specific to what is included with the plexus cruise prize (room and board, meals, wifi for one device, etc). On their normal cruises it would be whavever is listed on the cruise lines website, but this is part of the plexus prize. What's included is all in the plexus cruise FAQ

The Boss Babes need wifi to keep 'working' and brag in real time on SM about the 'big cruise'.

Jill is going to be in a pickle. If she was cruising with the general public she'd be in her self-righteousness glory, but she can't very well call her cohorts sluts and boozers. Plus, I think these Plexus things are a time when Jill wants to fit in - to a degree.

It'll be very interesting to see what she posts about the cruise. I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up with an actual modest swimsuit. Her biggest problem will be keeping David's eyes averted.

I think Jill is going to be all over that ship, counting up the sinners and counseling them about the Lord Daniel.  Unlike Pris, Jill has a blog to run and she is a massive hypocrite.  I expect lots of commentary on the sluttish women and their drunken husbands.  No doubt, Jill will also run into an unmarried couple who are co-habiting and will be able to have a major case of the vapors online.  I think its unlikely there will be any same sex couples who are Plexus pushers, but if there are, no way Jill doesn't share her opinion of that abomination with the world.

Cruise lines make a huge profit on the bar charges.  I doubt they'd be willing to book a boozeless cruise unless Plexus was willing to pay a premium for it and Plexus doesn't strike me as being that generous.

Same with the casino.  The minute the ship leaves port, the gambling parlor is open; it is a major profit center for the line.

I would imagine it would cost a bundle to get a cruise line to forego the bar and casino.

There is at least one blue-haired single mom in the Plexus universe. Whether or not she can afford the extra costs of taking this cruise remains to be seen. There are probably single-sex couples too. While Jill may discriminate, Plexus doesn't care as long as money is coming in.

I think that might be the cruise my FB friend is going on. I don't know if he is taking his partner or not. Jill's head would explode, though I do wonder.... of the person is high enough in plexus (which he seems to be), would she really be rude to them?

We know that Jill severely limits the amount of food her kids eat. I think she will leave what she feels is an adequate amount of food and no extra money so that they can’t pig out (eat normally, in other words) while she is gone.

I probably don't want to know this, but from what "bondage and lies that we believe about ourselves" is Plexus freeing its sellers?

Personally, I don't see much "freedom and liberty in Christ" coming from being in an MLM scheme that requires a lot of hustling and a certain amount of lying, but that's just me.

God knows Jill wouldn’t ever choose one of her kids to accompany her instead of David. Like maybe Renee, whom she left home alone on her 21st birthday when she was gallivanting around Nashville .

Probably a few will because most people have spouses who work.
