Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

How is plexus letting her get away with making these claims.   The company itself could be exposed to legal liability.   There are laws against making medical claims because of the abuses with the old time patent medicines.

I am afraid it is Plexus itself that is pushing the advertising boundaries.  That chart Jill posted looked to me like it might be something the company gave her to use.  I don't understand why no one is paying more attention to these companies.  I feel very sad for people who are paying a lot of money to find a "cure all", and that there are people like Jill who are ready to take their money.

I don't know where Jill cribs her slides from, but I report them all the time.  I encourage anyone else who sees them to do the same.

Maybe they don't know?

Just saw the video in which Jill is proudly telling us that she doesn’t “change her bed” every week like she once did. I assume she means change her sheets and if Dave is sleeping in that bed the sheets should be laundered MORE than once a week!!

so just how often DOES she “change her bed”? And how often do the kids “beds” get laundered?

Kaylee is the reigning queen of the Shatner comma.
And by the way Kaylee, funerals don’t go well. They aren’t supposed to go well.  They are a fitting tribute, a beautiful remembrance, anything but something that “goes well”.

It could be AutoCorrect. I get a ton of commas when I speak type. But if she’s posting it for everybody to see like that, I would certainly correct it. When I do it on here or text, I don’t really go back and look because I get the same kind of things from friends and family. No one has time to go back and check every single line when it’s not going out to anybody public or important (not that you guys aren’t important but you know. I’m anonymous).

I can vouch for this in the dumbest way.  I listed a jacket for sale on ebay a few years ago, i think the listing title was "CLASSIC POLO RALPH LAUREN...." and my dumb ass didn't notice that I'd typed "VLASSIC POLO..." until it sold.  I reached out to the buyer to make sure they understood that ZERO pickles were involved lol.  (ebay negative feedback is no joke 😂) She laughed and said that interaction made her purchase so much better - and that she hadn't noticed my mistake either.

I thought it was tone deaf too.   Oh and thanks for the food.

Jill has taught her children ZERO manners or social skills.   Mostly because you can't teach what you don't know.

You haven’t lived until you’ve seen the video of the Rodrigues family doing the gestures to YMCA, while lined up in front of the uncovered television in their living room. Time I will never get back.

Anything else she has recently posted will get me in trouble. She’s disgusting.

The YMCA video is what happens when people who aren't allowed to dance try to dance. Especially white people with no sense of rhythm, despite playing "music."

And Dave sat in his recliner to film it all. Yikes.

Do you have a link?  We could use a laugh today or most days for that matter.

I would love to explain to them what that song is actually about! 😂

Of course they do, but I am sure they didn't create the graphics, so they can split hairs about how THE COMPANY didn't make health claims, just THAT PERSON (who is decidedly NOT employed by them but just an independent contractor) did.

MLMs make specious claims all the time, they know how to legally walk the line.

Jill is so much bigger than all of them. The non-Wimpy boys are so tiny, not to mention the skinny girls. I certainly hope she never puts any of them on the reset, but she could certainly use it herself right now.

And yay, no Philip! I hope he’s gone again and not just out of the video. I so desperately want to tell them the origin of the song. It’s killing me.

Jill was hiding behind her kids to hide her true size. plexus and it's resets are not keeping her trim as her kids.

I also noticed Jill has on warm slipper boots while her girls are barefoot. if she has warm fleece lined slippers barndo is cold indoors.

I have never watched any of the reality shows that have these idiots (as a matter of fact I wouldn’t mind if these kinds of shows just disappeared completely but they are easy and cheap to make) but I am also fascinated by them in a weird way.    I have no issue with religious people my mom is religious.  She sings in a choir.   She is a member of the Rosario.  I have a cousin who goes to church on days other than Sunday and who owns her own Bible and knows how to use it.  She asks me what tv shows I watch and I tell her that none of them are suitable for her.    Right now my two favorite shows are about Gay Vampires and A soccer team of cannibals.    But my cousin is also the one who will order a mimosa at lunch and be the first person to reach into her wallet to pay her fair share.

My long winded point is I get religious and I get the reasons why some people are religious.  But it looks like The Rods use religion as an excuse to be awful people to others and each other.   I also really don’t get what David and Jill even see in each other.   Maybe they were different before too many kids they refuse to feed came into the picture.    Jill seems to have an inkling of ambition but has no way of making it happen in her current environment.   I actually do think if she got an actual job that she would do well in it regardless of lack of education.  The problem is she is an awful person who wants god to give her everything and is resentful that God hasn’t.

Both of these.    They aren't religious, they are just using their version of religion as an excuse to have things handed to them while being judgy mcjudgerson about everyone else not being as special as them.   I'm betting your Cousin could find a few choice quotes about people like them in her Bible, which she actually seems to follow.

Jill posted a new cooking video. she made chicken. it looked inedible.

like the chicken looked raw and burnt all at once.

That whole thing was quite disgusting from beginning to end.

It was supposed to be buttermilk fried chicken. She didn’t have buttermilk so she said she was using the cream from the top of raw milk and sour cream in place of it, and she baked it in the oven.

She ended up with the milk and perhaps a smidge of cream, because she apparently doesn’t know how to skim the cream, she just poured from the container with a small opening.

As we know Jill loves anything cream.

I needed a good chuckle so I watched the chicken video.  My favorite parts were the still shots at the end of Dave, Tessie and Gabriel with open mouths captured in mid-chew.  And after watching a close-up of Dave biting off a chunk of chicken, it's no wonder Jill is so worried that we all want her hunk.

I watched with the sound off so I assume when Jill was cutting a head of iceberg lettuce in half, that was for the "salad."  Which I am sure accompanies every dinner.

So I guess this means that when she does cook, it's performative for the sake of her social media.  In that case, I hope Jill tries to become a cooking influencer because at least then we know her kids will get fed.

I was surprised Janessa didn't make an appearance with her comfort cloth touching the same surface as the raw chicken and raw milk.

And she called it a cooking tutorial! Has she heard of Google? If you don’t have buttermilk, don’t make buttermilk chicken! That creamy slop on it looked disgusting. And I can’t imagine a ton of dill in chicken. And what’s with the raw milk? She had to emphasize several times that it was Amish.

And again, not a carb in sight for those starving kids. Chicken and salad. That’s a pretty keto meal. If you want to be cheap, put together a whole bunch of boxes of Kraft mac & cheese. But she’s trying to fool people by being “healthy”. No bad oils, and baking instead of frying.

One of my go to meals when the kids were little was fried chicken. Eggs and Italian breadcrumbs, double dipped. Just that simple. And they always looked forward to it. No sour cream and raw milk in sight. Can she not get anything right?

I think I heard a warning about raw milk.  I wasn't really listening, but I think it had to do with bird flu.  They were telling people to avoid raw milk since bird flu is affecting cows.   Maybe not, but I think that is what I heard.

That's what I have heard as well.

Bird flu in raw milk has killed some cats.  It can't be good for small children.  It's not good for anyone, but small or weak children or the elderly would be more susceptible.

It’s not been considered safe to drink for years. Food borne illnesses such as salmonella can happen.   Jill and her ilk all seem determined to avoid all the safety standards that were developed decades ago just to prove something - what I don’t know.
