Well, Arrow's very special episode (5x13) scored a new series low in Live +7: 2.563 million viewers. The A18-49 figures are unknown, but judging from the top 25 %-gainers of the week, it's probably a 1,0. The full ratings tables can be found here.

Flash, LoT and, SPN were all down this week. On top of that, we Spring ahead tonight.  Shows are usually impacted by the time change.

I'm curious to see what Arrow does this week, with the combination of time change, being off and coming of a bad week for The CW.

I think Flash and LoT are linked in terms of ratings because they're aired one after another. If Flash does poorly that means there's a strong chance LoT will too.

I would've been curious of how Arrow and Supergirl would've done if they had new episodes this week...

The total viewer numbers (1.578 vs. 1.602) were relatively stable, but the 0.6 was so weak that even a relatively small drop was enough to dump Arrow back into the 0.5 range in A18-49.

More or less no change even after a week break and daylight savings time. (515 got a 0.56 demo, 1.6mil viewers) That's kind of encouraging.

Especially since 516 was a much better episode with a much better cliffhanger. Hopefully, there will be a tick up for next week.

And yet I doubt it will hold after the next hiatus in the episodes.  So IMO at best we might be able to hold those numbers for 17 and 18 but I would be very surprised if we stayed there when it comes back for 19.

Of course after 20, if there's good buzz, who knows, ;D

Lethal Weapon just had its season finale last night, so if there were any viewers that were watching both shows, they might tune into Arrow from now on. (The show's ratings seemed to nudge a bit higher whenever LW aired a rerun.)

I blame ratings on Susan as she was the 515 cliffhanger.

And daylight savings I guess. Whatever.

LOL.

Is this the first time since LoT moved to Tuesday's that Arfow beat LoT?

I think so.

Legends took a bigger hit this week than I expected.  It was down about 200K viewers.  Flash was down about 130K viewers.  So in contrast Arrow held up pretty well, only down about 20K viewers in preliminary numbers.

I just wanted to lay out the possible strongest competitors...

Flash vs The Voice vs New Girl vs NCIS

Lot vs NCIS vs This is Us vs Maddow vs Bones

Arrow vs The Voice vs Survivor vs Lethal Weapon Finale

Well at least This is Us and Lethal Weapon are done for the season.  That has to help (or at least stop adding to the hurt

NCAA had games Tuesday & Wednesday.  Might be a possible cause.  From now until April 3, it's televised on Thursday-Sunday.  The championship game is on a Monday.

As reported by TV Series Finale, unrounded ratings numbers for 516 were 0.50 demo and 1.525 viewers (might still be further adjusted later)...

‘Star’ Ratings Rise In Finale, ‘Designated Survivor’ Even, ‘Arrow’ Down

Facing Survivor for the first time this season, Arrow (0.5/2) was down 17% from its last original of March 1. Also feeling the pull of ratings gravity, ABC’s The Goldbergs (1.5/6) and Speechless (1.3/5) declined 12% and 13% and respectively.

After swearing last May that I wasn't interested in any of the new fall shows, the two shows I added were This Is Us and Lethal Weapon (and both are in my top shows now). So yes, now I can give my dvr a bit of a break. It's a good thing LoT is not airing opposite the Prison Break revival though. They can't make me choose between WM/DP's old show and their new one.

I don't understand the high ratings for most of the shows on CBS.

I swear there is just a whole batch of Nielsen TV boxes somewhere in an undisclosed location that has the TV/channel stuck on CBS or they lost their remotes.

Could be.  CBS shows also reinforce the status quo and don't require any complex thinking.  The cops and the military are always right and bad guys are often foreigners. It's comforting.

I gave up on Blue Bloods in spite of DR being on when the Chief interfered inexcusably in his granddaughter's life and undercut his own daughter and was praised. Then the priest was accused of molestation but he was innocent and it was a hysterical woman making trouble for him. Sooo comforting.

They got 17% from the demo drop of 0.6 to 0.5. Of course with such low ratings you really should use numbers with more decimals when comparing to previous weeks or other shows. Ratings with only one decimal worked when even the CW (or its predecessors WB and UPN) usually got ratings above 2.0, but they're not very useful when even the big networks have shows with fractional ratings.

They are down. Sigh.  Bummer.  I suppose not shocking since the episode was going to be so rough and well, spring, but I hope it at least gets a good bump in the 7 day shift.

Judging from the total viewer numbers, I'm assuming the 0.5 was very weak. It will probably drop down to 0.4 after the big hiatus in April if not earlier.

Demo still holds but we'll see. Seems like this week women didnt bother to tune in so the drop in ratings was due to them not watching.

Women not tuning in for an episode of torture porn makes so much sense.

The take-away should be that each episode has to be good on its own, you can't count on the viewers hanging around till the end of the season when it will all make sense but who knows if they'll even connect the dots.

I feel bad for the cast and crew because their producers made the choices to alienate their own fans and now they see the results. So while I don't want them to be cancelled next season or move slots, I can't say I'd be surprised if Arrow didn't last until episode 200.

Wouldnt it be something good if it doesnt last that long? Shows shouldnt be dragged and milked that way.

The best example of a show that lasted exactly how it needed is Breaking Bad.
