I liked Ziva but I also have been a very sporadic viewer since I figured out the show was never going to actually change AT ALL unless one of the actors quit, lol. Even when someone leaves it still comes with a reset button and the same show keeps plodding on.  It's fine for a procedural but the characters and their stagnant relationships bore me to death at this point.

How old is this child? Because not telling her father about her for however many years is completely sucky. And more than a little reminiscent of a much maligned Arrow plot point.

I was only interested in NCIS because of Tony/Ziva, but realised after a couple of seasons that there would be no pay-off. I feel vindicated for dropping the show all those seasons ago.

I was never a Ziva fan nor a Tiva fan (The original team is still my favorite). The reason I think she is still alive is because I don't think they wouldn't go for a happy ending. Especially with Weatherly tying his exit to her.

Tony and Abby got to me. I expected more from Skinny McGee and Ducky.

Weatherly and Wagner actually look related.

Any Agents of Shields watchers?

Should MrMellowyellow and I watch it? We quit about episode 5 season 1. Can't remember why we quit (possibly was around when we had a new baby) and now we're thinking that it was a show we *should* like.

Is it any good?

I liked the second half of season one a lot.  Even stopped hating Skye, lol.  I think the second season was pretty good and I liked the first half of this season but now have like 8 episode piled up in my DVR.  It's never going to be a show I get worked up about.  I always enjoy it more though when I do watch it in binges.

Yeah, sorry, count me as another anti-Tiva NCIS fan who was not pleased about this choice.  I never really had anything particularly against Ziva herself, but after seven years of childish bickering, I had absolutely no desire whatsoever to see them in a relationship. I refused to watch season 10 when it started being promoted as the "season of Tiva" and only started watching again when she left.

I don't know if she's alive or not. But yeah it's always a little ambiguous when you don't have the body.  I suppose they might bring her back down the road if they resolve whatever issues there were with the actress (not assigning blame, but it does seem like there was some friction there).  If not, Tiva fans can imagine they met in Paris and the rest of us will go on with the show.

It was in the fall, but the ratings fell during the second half of the season.  Still, I thought it had a better chance than Code Black did, especially since CBS tends to favor in-house productions.  It's a little strange.

I think, like Arrow, 1b-2a are it's best run of episodes (barring some notable ones in 2b and s3), but overall I enjoy the show. It really would depend on how you feel about certain characters (especially Skye) and how much you want/willing to follow them, but if you generally like all of them then the show becomes a lot more easy to watch. It does change its premise a lot (from "not all heroes are super" to... whatever we have now), but has a lot of strong and different female characters, which is a plus.

That being said, episode 6 is actually what made me stick with the show, so try to get to that one and if it hits you like it did me, then I'd say keep going with the show!

I'm having this problem too. It never showed me the blank spaces before yesterday - and I don't think it showed the ads on mobile before a couple days ago.

Yeah, same. I've always had adblock and there was never spaces before. It just suddenly appeared. So weird. Glad I'm not the only one! Thought I was going nuts. Haha.

LOL, me too. I'm also having some troubles with the threads, it doesn't always bring me to the first post I haven't read yet, often  I need to scroll back. Ugh!

CBS Denies Report That Nancy Drew Pilot Was Rejected for Being ‘Too Female’

The pilot for a new Nancy Drew series was not rejected for being “too female,” CBS President Glenn Geller said.

“Well that’s just not true. We have a number of pilots to choose from, and we chose the best pilot,” Geller said on Tuesday at a pre-upfronts breakfast in New York, contradicting a report from Deadline after the network decided not to pick up the show to series.

With CBS giving up on Supergirl, CBS passing on the Nancy Drew pilot because it skewed too female (allegedly), and CBS show NCIS's killing off yet another female agent, I'm getting a pretty clear picture of CBS' attitude about women - and it ain't pretty.

I really hate CBS right now. They've got rid of all the good shows - PoI, Limitless, even Supergirl (not really good but at least fun and not a crappy boring procedural). They still have Elementary but I had to stop watching because it's basically being killed by its own format which stops it from growing and developing.

CBS sucks.

I'm so mad about Limitless, really. At least PoI had a lot of time - Limitless didn't.

Are they trying to burn through Person of Interest? They're airing 2 episodes a week! And I'm bummed about Limitless.

Re: DiNozzo's exit — I watch NCIS sporadically, pretty much only when I'm visiting my parents so I don't remember the apparently yearslong Tony/Ziva angst without payoff. I have to admit I found the kid they got to play Tony's daughter adorable. She was reacting in all the right places and I may have gotten a tickle in my throat when she pointed to Tony and Ziva's photos and called them Mom and Dad (in Hebrew).

Re: AOS and that exit — Never cared much for the character, felt like the show didn't know what to do. But I found myself bawling because of everybody's reaction. Definitely a much better farewell than someone on Arrow had.

Well, apparently, in the continuing bloodbath that this season end is turning into: (Blindspot spoilers)

Spoiler

They killed off Bethany Mayfair.  Wow.  And apparently Kurt's dad killed Taylor Shaw after all?

Yeah, I think I'm done.  I was hanging on by a thread anyway.  I was eight episodes behind even before this week's, so I guess I'd sort of quit already.  I just kept thinking I'd eventually catch up, but I no longer have any desire to do so.

I gave up on Blindspot after 8 episodes because it seemed to be following a regular procedural show instead of the mysterious tattoo lady show it looked like it was going to be about.

Wonder what show Fox can reboot next.  I was a big OC fan.  How about checking in on Seth and Summer? Willa can be our Flarrowverse connection.

I would be game for an OC reboot with some of the originals I would love for it to have Ryan Seth & Summer, Sandy & Kirsten. No Taylor. And heck after both Willa Holland and Chris Carmack have made me like them in other roles, I could take their return to the OC with major tweaks to their characters. Chris is free, unless by some miracle Nashville is picked up by another network (fingers crossed). And I do wonder if Willa will be free by end of next season, considering Arrow’s love of killing off female characters. TQ will almost always be on Arrow’s short list of potential kills.

I do really do miss Rachel Bilson since she no longer has HoD. And let's face it Adam Brody seems like he has some acting time to spare as well. I do think it might be hard to get back Ryan & Sandy now that Ben McKenzie & Peter Gallagher have found other more permanent gigs. But even if they dropped a few inside jokes about Ryan being too busy being a cop somewhere to hang around all the time. And I'm sure Peter Gallagher and his eyebrows could drop be a few times - even if it’s only recurring because of other projects.

Not that I really want her back, but perhaps Mischa Barton's ego has finally come down from her delusional rafters that she might agree to make a cameo in a vision or dream. A few minute guest appearance on a TV drama must be acceptable to her now after being kicked off 2nd on DWTS. Perhaps she can be visiting Melinda Clarke in jail, who as much as I enjoy the actress, I do not need to see another story arc for her on a rebooted OC, a few guest appearances would be good enough for the Coopers & me.

I would love to know if the is any test footage from that scrapped Justice League movie with Adam Brody as The Flash. I actually really like GG as Barry, but I'm curious as to what could have been. Plus Santiago Cabrera was Aquaman (I think) and I'm always up for more of him in anything ever.

I hate that whiny men can't handle ladies finally getting a smidge of the due they should have had eons ago, but I laugh at their tears and hope all their favorite movies get rebooted with women

Too bad about that spoiler. I gave up on the show by midseason because the main guy's wooden acting wasn't getting any better and the plot was getting boring.

Spoiler

The should've kept Mayfair and killed off Kurt and the show would probably be a lot more interesting.

Not that I want to defend CBS's general policy after Melina Kanakaredes left CSI:NY because they wouldn't pay her what she was worth as female co-lead (earning my lifelong wrath) and the concurrent Criminal Mind's "let's fire the female cast to pay for the spinoff"...but this year, they did renew the little show with no promo that if I'm not mistaking might have the most female and the most diverse cast of the network, namely Code Black.

The lead character is Academy and Tony Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, third-billed is Bonnie Somerville, fourth-billed is Melanie Chandra (who plays a LGBT character). Three out of four is quite a nice number for women.  It's an ensemble show and out of the 8 regulars, four are white, four are POC (two Indian/of Indian descent, one Black, one Latino). Also, out of the 8 regulars, four are above forty (MGH, the leading  female character, is 56 and the main romantic couple are in their very early 40's) and four under forty.

Of course, again, it doesn't mean that CBS isn't a shitty network otherwise.

Unliked most people it seems, I did like the male lead on Blindspot. I ditched the show when they introduced a love triangle, because love triangles make me cranky and not watching. Honestly, aside from the Felicity of the show aka Patterson I don't miss it.

Also, is anyone else constantly booted out of the forums and needing to sign in again if they take more than fifteen freaking minutes to write a post? English isn't my first language so I need time to express my thoughts, and I learned on TWOP to reread over and over to be certain of what I wanted to post...Same when I'm catching up on a thread and I find myself signed out when I want to like a post a few pages back. Ugh.

Mike and Molly got the axe too and they doubled up the episodes to run them out fast.  But Two Broke Girls still lives.

I like it, but season 1 just drags on till the aftermath of Winter Soldier.  They were just killing time till Winter Soldier came out, and they could actually do their main storyline.  There are a lot of good moments in the before Winter Soldier episodes, they primarily involve Simmons, Fitz, May, and Trip (he shows up later on in the season).

I am not experiencing this problem, but I have a suggestion.  When I plan to write a long post, I first write and edit it in a plain text file.  Once I'm satisfied with what I've written, then I copy and paste the whole thing into my reply in this forum.  In fact, sometimes I'll let it sit in the text file for a day and then re-read it the next day and make any necessary changes before I post it.

I've also been getting logged out by the system after short periods of inactivity - but only sometimes.  This latest time when it kept doing it, I ticked the "Remember me" box when I signed in and it seemed to do the trick, but I'm not sure if that'll work every time.
