FN, bring back the Hearty Boys. Unlike Guy, they are charming & talented.

I can't stand Guy either, but look at the weekly ratings that are posted and you'll have a better understanding of WHY he is still getting so much airtime.  They aren't going to cut down on airtime for someone who's shows are getting some of the highest ratings. Even DDD reruns get higher ratings than some other FN new shows.

Tonight is the premiere of ANOTHER Guy show....Guy's Family Road Trip.  According to my guide the episode is titled The Fieris Go Griswold and "the first leg of the trip takes the Fieris from their home in Northern California to Lake Tahoe, where decedent Belgian waffles fuel a day of mountain biking." 

So look for this to appear in the next release of ratings. Can't miss TV! I hate you, FN.

To be honest having CC has spread things out too thin. Maybe they can combine them and FN will return to glory.

Even CC's reruns of "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" is better than the crapola on FN. Gonna have to go google whatever happened to the lovely Canadian lady who supposedly cooked and served in her home. It's been some years since the show was aired and tonight's wine is not letting me think of that delightful show's name.

Laura Calder - I loved her show.  Extra Virgin, & My Grandmother's Ravioli's are all gone.  Donal Skehan had a good show too. I forget if he was on CC or FN?

Here's my issue. They are struggling to find Monday night shows. So why not put Guy's show there and have it lead into I Hart Food? The Vacation show is basically a miniseries so it should not like it has to stick to Friday and it'll help establish the actually pretty good IHF for if/when a second season of it comes.

The current Chopped Grilled Masters that's running is awful IMHO. I'm surprised it did that well in the ratings.

I remember when Food Network did actual cooking shows. Now it is all competition/reality shows - which all seem to blend into one another. Beat Bobby Flay is just a celebrity Chopped, more or less. Except instead of competing against a clock for money, you compete against Bobby Flay for glory, etc.

 I am HART-ened that I Hart Food is in far last.   The commercials that feature her mugging for the camera in every single shot bug the shit out of me and anything that hastens them off my screen is welcome.  

 I am always amazed that there's an audience for watching someone's family go on vacation, but apparently there is.

I checked out her YouTube channel and her cooking videos are all titled "My Drunk Kitchen". I tried watching a couple and they had her cooking while getting drunk. Not my kind of thing but I guess it was someone's if she got a show on FN even for 6 episodes. That's cause her YouTube show is named My Drunk Kitchen. I Hart Food is actually really good and I have a feeling that's better Ratings than a lot of the recent shows they've tried in that and the post DDD slot on Fridays.

I really miss actual cooking shows on this network, many mentioned up thread.  I also enjoyed Sara Moulton's show.  I learned a lot and they were enjoyable.  I absolutely cannot take one more competition show (and those are completely recycled withe the over-saturated chefs we already see), and people traveling around...well...eating.  Whatever.

I miss them too. They still have cooking shows but it's more like "Here are some recipe ideas" (aka Valerie B. and Trisha Yearwood - I can get that on Pinterest), not ones where you learn something. If you read the PTV threads on the competitive shows, there are many people who love them. I've seen people post on Food Network Star thread say they don't care who wins, they never watch cooking shows. They just like competition shows. FN clearly knows the demographic that will bring in the $$.

Sara Moulton has a show on PBS. Ming Tsai, & Ellie Kreiger have shows there too.

Technically it's not a "new"season,they just repackaged all the old interview segments and center them on a specfic city..plus they added a off-screen narrator before each segment("If your'e looking for the best*where-ever*..")

One of the dead giveaways that theyre just the old segments repackaged: the ones with Anne Burrell,she doesnt have that crazy-looking cockatoo-type hairdo she has now LOL

I like Anne but her hair not so much. I laughed reading how we can figure out that those "new" segments are really "old" segments because of her hair. Do they realize we aren't clueless! But they certainly are.

Today's episode "La Mer" was almost sensual in its treatment of lobsters and clams caught off the coast of Brittany and its segment of the spice guy. I don't smoke but I wanted a cigarette afterward. There IS decent food programming out there, as many here have pointed out.

And also puts I Hart Food in a worse light. Lost 200,000 viewers and then 52,000 came back after it was over. Still would renew it and try it right after DDD on Fridays. If a RERUN of DDD can get 1 million viewers after a new episode, I Hart Food could at least double in ratings it’s season finale just got.
