howmanywords August 13, 2017 Share August 13, 2017 I can't stand Guy either, but look at the weekly ratings that are posted and you'll have a better understanding of WHY he is still getting so much airtime. They aren't going to cut down on airtime for someone who's shows are getting some of the highest ratings. Even DDD reruns get higher ratings than some other FN new shows. 1 Link to comment
Spunkygal August 13, 2017 Share August 13, 2017 Tonight is the premiere of ANOTHER Guy show....Guy's Family Road Trip. According to my guide the episode is titled The Fieris Go Griswold and "the first leg of the trip takes the Fieris from their home in Northern California to Lake Tahoe, where decedent Belgian waffles fuel a day of mountain biking." So look for this to appear in the next release of ratings. Can't miss TV! I hate you, FN. 1 Link to comment

Skyfall August 23, 2017 Share August 23, 2017 Here's my issue. They are struggling to find Monday night shows. So why not put Guy's show there and have it lead into I Hart Food? The Vacation show is basically a miniseries so it should not like it has to stick to Friday and it'll help establish the actually pretty good IHF for if/when a second season of it comes. I miss them too. They still have cooking shows but it's more like "Here are some recipe ideas" (aka Valerie B. and Trisha Yearwood - I can get that on Pinterest), not ones where you learn something. If you read the PTV threads on the competitive shows, there are many people who love them. I've seen people post on Food Network Star thread say they don't care who wins, they never watch cooking shows. They just like competition shows. FN clearly knows the demographic that will bring in the $$. 3 Link to comment

xaxat September 22, 2017 Share September 22, 2017 OK, that really helps explain the emphasis on Guy. He kills it on reruns. Link to comment

Lost 200,000 viewers and then 52,000 came back after it was over. Still would renew it and try it right after DDD on Fridays. If a RERUN of DDD can get 1 million viewers after a new episode, I Hart Food could at least double in ratings it’s season finale just got. 13 hours ago, ny1221 said: FOOD NETWORK PRIME TIME RERUN RATINGS September 11-17, 2017Source: Programming Insider/Douglas Pucci (“Son of the Bronx”) (Rank/Program/Timeslot/Viewership/Demo 18-49 Rating in parenthesis) 1--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Friday 9:30PM---1,020,000 (0.33) 2--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Friday 8:30PM---928,000 (0.25) 3--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Friday 10:00PM---889,000 (0.29) 4--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Friday 8:00PM---862,000 (0.25) 5--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Saturday 9:00PM---856,000 (0.25) 6--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Saturday 10:00PM---851,000 (0.27) 7--GUY’S GROCERY GAMES SUPERSTAR TOURNAMENT---Sunday 7:00PM---816,000 (0.25) 8--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Friday 10:30PM---806,000 (0.28) 9--DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Saturday 8:00PM---806,000 (0.21) 10-BEAT BOBBY FLAY---Thursday 10:30PM---782,000 (0.24) 11-CHOPPED---Tuesday 9:00PM---755,000 (0.25) 12-DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Monday 8:30PM---734,000 (0.21) 13-DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Monday 9:00PM---717,000 (0.23) 14-WORST COOKS IN AMERICA CELEBRITY EDITION---Wednesday 8:00PM---674,000 (0.22) 15-DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Monday 8:00PM---673,000 (0.19) 16-DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Monday 9:30PM---637,000 (0.21) 17-CHOPPED---Thursday 8:00PM---593,000 (0.20) 18-GREAT FOOD TRUCK RALLY (Pilot Rerun)---Sunday 10:00PM---562,000 (0.16) 19-DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES---Monday 10:30PM---482,000 (0.14) Thanks! That’s not a bad number to be honest with no advertising. ~50% retention rate likely mostly new viewers. I do hope it gets picked up cause I want more Food Truck shows. Link to comment
