Dorit is an asshole. She didn't miss the caftan memo, the label whore just wanted to wear her labels. And as far as Sutton goes, Dorit has been picking on her since Sutton first came on, so I'm all for Sutton dragging Dorit however and whenever she can.

I don't think Kyle and Mauricio are "that" rich. They have money, but not wealth. IMO. 

Rick Hilton is a (high end) real estate agent (that was his only job since the 1990s). He was partners with the late Jeff Hyland in Hilton & Hyland. Jeff Hyland passed away in 2022, his widow bought Rick out of the company, and he had to start over by founding a new agency with his son and dil. His father and grandfather left almost everything to charity, not to their (many) children and grandchildren.

Mauricio is not just a real estate agent. He is the founder and owner of The Agency (a luxury real estate company) which sold $57 billion in real estate between its creation in 2011 and 2023/4. The company has more than 80 offices all over the world. Luxury real estate doesn't really have ups and downs. The company sold the most properties worth more than $20 million in the U.S. 

Sutton's husband became a managing director and president of PIMCO (an investment company) after his 2016 divorce from Sutton. He is with the company since 2008. Sutton received only $1.235 million in cash in the divorce, a house in Los Angeles which she sold for $6 million plus, and bought the one we see on the show for about the same amount, other real estate (like the house in Augusta), art, jewelry. She receives $300,000 a month in spousal support until she remarries (I doubt she will). Her youngest child, James turned 18 in January, so the child support for him will end soon.

Dorit is SUCH a jerk. SUCH a jerk. She gets that stupid look on her face when someone calls her out for being a jerk, as if she is the victim when her little smirks and (poorly worded) snide remarks were intended to take her target down a peg. She always underplays things just enough (or so she thinks) to maintain “plausible” deniability, like not wearing a kaftan because she doesn’t like them, but feigning ignorance. Don’t get me wrong, the money comments were base, but I don’t blame Sutton for her ire, and I’m glad she is drawing a line in the sand (though I wish she didn’t stoop to Dorit’s level to do it). 
 

and yes,  Chanel has made caftans  :)

Well, okay, both Jennifer and Sutton really shamed me for liking the little orange roe on sushi. Well, I wouldn’t want to ruin a nice twice-baked potato with any type of fish eggs anyway… I don’t know that you’re really proving you have a refined palate by admitting that you just get the most expensive one because that means it must be the best. But, I guess this is what Sutton means about not having the wallet to stand up to her level, settling for the “measly” $250 potato instead of the $1,000 potato. So, your ex-husband was successful and rich. How does that make you a better person? And Sutton also tells Jennifer she needs a billionaire. Like, okay??? You just order one of those up? Go stand on your big wallet and we haven’t seen anyone in any financial bracket coming by for a second date, even. I guess at least Dorit has it going for her that she might be more likely to snag a new rich man than Sutton because she still has a few years of potential trophy wife looks in her. But if I’m invited to a party where it’s clear kaftans are the outfit, I’ll at least TRY… maybe choose a dress that’s kaftan-ISH at least, a little flowy, brightly colored & patterned… not show up in a grey-and-white structured Dior dress. (Did you catch that it’s DIOR?) I mean, if Kathy Hilton can wear something she picked up in a tourist shop, Dorit can at least find something relevant-ish. But Dorit can make the rules, and not live by others’.

Elitist, Snob Queen Dorit purposely disrespected Jennifer Tilly.  She probably just dismissed her as nothing more than just Sutton's friend and not bother to follow her on IG.  But the fact is that JT is wealthier than most of the other women.  She's also an Academy Award nominated actress.

Trust me, if the tables were turned - Dorit would have gone on and on.  I have no problem in Sutton going hard on her.  We have seen Dorit do that to others.  And Sutton spoke the truth.

I remember when Mauricio started bringing in the big bucks.  There was a shift in Kyle's demeanor.  She wasn't snobby or anything like that, but I felt like she was in the same league with people like Lisa Vanderpump once Mauricio became super successful.  They showed Kyle shopping a lot and buying quite a few expensive handbags at that time.  I don't begrudge her that.  It felt like she & Mauricio were next level kind of wealthy as compared to the early days of the show.

I'm disappointed that Sutton made the comment about having the bigger wallet.  Sigh.  You never, ever throw your money in someone's face.  Why would you say that? How does having a "bigger wallet" help?  Are you going to hire someone to whack her?  Are you going to sue her?  It really didn't make any sense.  

I guess she just wanted to demean her because Dorit insinuated that Sutton had a drinking problem, which wasn't cool either.  I really wanted to see the ladies have a nice luncheon, no matter how gross the food looked.  To have a "sophisticated palate" means that you'll eat weird shit.  No offense to anyone who likes that kind of food.  😉

It’s not that Dorit doesn’t deserve to be told off.  It’s How Sutton went about it. Playing the “I’m Richer. so, I’m Better than you!” card was really slimy. Made me see her differently. Made me see her Reba side.  Sutton has a legitimate gripe with Dorit, but There were a hundred other ways she could’ve burned her, but like all stereotypical rich people, she used her money.  Gross.

OK, I can hardly believe I’m going to say this, but I am team Dorit. I used to really like Sutton, but she’s just too much for me this year. The comment about the wallet was disgusting and kind of pisses me off that nobody other than Boz is giving Dorit any support. While Kyle is whining about being a single mom which I don’t really see as her situation, Dorit still has two young kids at home an asshole PK is living in London and being really mean. Yes Dorit is annoying, but Sutton has really gone too low

That’s fair .. I don’t put a lot of stock in who has more money or wealth in general so the comment to me is just a petty comment volleyed back from Dorit’s petty comment about her drinking water .. 

 

Dorit can’t expect someone to not get petty back it’s the nature of the game .. You can’t go low and then get mad when the person you’re antagonist against goes low too .. Dorit tried her best to make Sutton’s drinking a storyline last season and is trying it again this season .. I’d be done

It's a HWs show!  People fly off the handle all of the time.  Dorit shouldn't have chimed in after Garcelle questioned Sutton on whether the drink had alcohol, but it was a hot button topic for her, so I get why she blurted out what she did.

I forgot about that and have been referring to the previous episode and the incident at Dorit's party.  I still stand by my comments on that, but I do agree that Dorit didn't need to add salt to the wound by asking her if she was drinking water.  It was unnecessary. 

I don't mind Sutton standing her ground, but she should choose her words wisely.  The 'wallet' comment sounded rehearsed, and she doesn't need to hit below the belt, as that defeats the purpose.  Be clever, Sutton!  Telling someone to pick on someone with their own size wallet is silly.  Makes no sense.

I guess at least Dorit has it going for her that she might be more likely to snag a new rich man than Sutton because she still has a few years of potential trophy wife looks in her. Meanwhile, Sutton will be eating her $1,000 potato all alone in the corner, perched on her wallet. (I really don’t mean to insult Sutton’s looks or anything, she’s lovely. But the whole wallet/billionaire thing really rubbed me the wrong way—the superiority and entitlement, yikes!!)

In Russia everyone serves the orange caviar everywhere.  And yeah - Sutton's going to get a billionaire - she can't even get the Magic Mike dancers 😂

After their spat about Sutton drinking water Sutton THd that Dorit should leave her alone, and Dorit was leaving her alone when Sutton decided to make Jennifer's lunch about herself.  She should have talked to her friends and let Dorit sit and sulk, but I guess her wallet's not so big that she doesn't want that Bravo paycheck!

Trust me, if the tables were turned - Dorit would have gone on and gone.  I have no problem in Sutton going hard on her.  We have seen Dorit do that to others.  And Sutton spoke the truth. 

Also, what's with Erika questioning why Jennifer is friends with Sutton?

They've been good friends for over a decade.

The spat Dorit started .. and the only one dependent on a bravo paycheck is Dorit ..

Dorit also said that the purse grab was a "joke" - sorry - there was no joking in that exchange - Dorit had a dead serious look on her face.  She does have a habit of going too far in some exchange, and then, back pedaling to "it was a joke".

Sutton came in a little too hot tonight.  I like Sutton, but I did not like the wallet comment to Dorit (although it's probably true!).  Sutton did go low with that comment, and, as I said earlier, turnabout is fair play, so giving Dorit a bit of her own back, is expected, I guess.  I just wish Sutton had chosen some different way to get to Dorit.

I liked Kyle being the voice of reason with Dorit, though.  And, I never even thought of the fact that all of the alcohol digs from Dorit may be triggering for Sutton because of her Dad - very astute of Kyle for picking up on that (surprise, surprise - Kyle being astute!!)  

 

It was a very tacky comment BUT Sutton used what would REALLY piss off Dorit. Dorit has been pretending to be rich all the years she has been on the show. Dorit's comment about Sutton's drinking had the potential to hurt custody of her kids and has been going on for now 2 seasons.  Sutton's comment to Dorit only hurt Dorit's pride.  Sutton should bring up Dorit's jacked boobs next.
