Interesting interview with Berlanti, most notably for this quote:

Supergirl is changing tonally as well as geographically. Berlanti said he tried, and struggled, to add more procedural elements to Supergirl last year, to appeal to CBS' audience. "Then, by half the year, we relaxed and said, we know how to make the show and let's just focus on that. That was our pitch for the second season, which was to double down on what we thought worked about the show, which has more of a character-based mythology element."

I definitely think it's a good thing they dropped the procedural element. That was one of the weaker S1 elements, and produced some of the season's weakest episodes.

Miley Cyrus is a pig and an idiot.   Supergirl by any name is a far more positive role model for young women -- for women of all ages, in fact -- than an entitled celebrity spawn whose 15 minutes were extended only by twerking and repeatedly and repulsively sticking out her tongue.

Yes, the image is that classic cover, but also the words of the Cadmus leader (the whole "gods among us" thing) are straight from several other places (unfortunately that includes the shitty Zach Snyder movies, but it includes lots of comic runs too where it wasn't done quite as badly).

Relevant to the "does Cat know?" question, this interview (warning: it has spoilers after the Cat stuff) with AK confirms that CF plays it ambiguous, so the writers can go either way with it in the future. Reading between the lines, I think CF wants Cat to know and just be keeping it to herself, but the writers want the flexibility and don't want to fully commit to Cat knowing.

Her leaving (even if not "permanently") would have made for the perfect time for a reveal though.

And really, the reason the does she/does she not wears on me a bit is that because they had an entire episode plot hang on it at one point. They did still theoretically leave an opening that maybe Cat went along with the impersonation thing (because after years of Super types being around she should be savvy to the possibility of such), but I've always felt they shaded that a hair too much towards her being fooled.

That's not from a show episode. That the "Superhero Fight Club 2.0" short that The CW released earlier this month as a promo for the new season of it's DC superhero line-up. You can watch the whole thing here on youtube. I thought it was a fun promo short :)

But I was glad to see that Ali Adler is still involved; she didn't move to Vancouver with the show. Last season she was always posting set photos on her Instagram.

I wish they would slow down Alex/Maggie a little, but at the same time, YES GIVE ME ALL THE MAGGIE BEING JEALOUS BECAUSE SHE THINKS THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING BETWEEN KARA AND ALEX situations. That will just be the humorous gift that keeps on giving!
