He did, but some places have received aid.  Considering the number of natural disasters we’ve seen in recent years it will be unpleasant to watch the next year unfold. Chris Hayes on his show tonight ran a series of clips featuring Trump being asked by various reporters about events that happened or laws that he's trying to skirt, etc. Every one of his responses was, "I don't know" or "I don't know; I have brilliant lawyers handling this", etc., etc , etc. Chris looked into the camera and asked, "So, who's running the country?"

Oh, sure, they'll happily pull stunts like the sort they're doing now, with ICE raids and going after individuals and sending them to horrific prisons, but all of that has nothing to do with actually solving the border crisis and everything to do with making their racist and xenophobic base happy. 

And if you're a Trump supporter who is cheering on these insane raids and harassment of individuals for simply lookng "suspicious" or "illegal", then congratulations, you're playing right into their hands and proving to the rest of us just how racist and xenophobic you really are. 

And the projection.  I'm sick of hearing that the Democrats need to lay off identity politics when that is all the Republicans want to talk about and all the have ever talked about.  The second any of us mention that everyone deserves to be treated equally they attack us all "WOKE SOCIALIST!"

I don't know, how about, "Yeah, you're right, he shouldn't be out here inciting a violent riot to try and overturn a democratic election"? Obviously Trump does not have the abilities to prepare or remember REAL data to present as a capable, non-senile person in charge of anything.

He's over it. T doesn't even care enough or have presence of mind to present a vague, non-libelous statement about what's going on. Sad state of affairs for the US.

Also, the statement from his defenders--"I don't know what's going on in his mind"-- is also a non answer-- meaning you cannot back up your defense of his actions with any background or logical information, so it's a cop-out.

And then cry 'victim', as the the whole Repub party is wont to do when asked for accountability or simple honesty.

the thing you aren’t addressing is that innocent people are having their lives destroyed, most here legally, and it is hugely expensive for you and doing you no good. These people are not hurting you and this behavior will isolate and minimize the US.

He didn't do any such thing. He was protesting and there for an hour before he was arrested. 

Plus there are questions about the legality of the facility. (Shocking)  

 

The tit for tat most definitely doesn't need to stop. It needs to be ramped up. Otherwise trump will continue doing whatever he pleases and ignore even more laws.

Because the bottom line is that it never REALLY was about the economy. I could never be that brainwashed. I remember when I learned about the Nazis and WWII in school I couldn't get over it. I knew that nothing could ever make me buy into that crap. Sometimes being generally skeptical is a good thing. It also helps to have decent values and a belief in human rights above all else. Scapegoating people is just wrong. Prejudice is just wrong. It doesn't matter if they came here illegally or not or where they came from. None of us is perfect but we can't stand for anything based on these things.

I also learned thanks to my education that any platform or belief system that's THAT one sided and extreme could never be worth buying into. You have to ask yourself what you are fighting for or against and if it's really as good/bad as all that and worth your support. Usually, when exposed to critical thinking the truth lies somewhere in between, as usual. Extremism so bad that you can't even see the other side of the coin is very dangerous. We should have learned that lesson from the Nazis but unfortunately many people have not. And that's dangerous and sad.

None of this is true, but I don't blame you. This is the tale that FOX, OAN and all other right-wing media is spinning. What happened in Newark yesterday is a watershed moment. Getting the facts straight now is important.

I'll begin with some written context from March, followed by a YouTube clip featuring live video that includes the three US Reps who had a scheduled appointment at the facility, who were assaulted by the "ICE Agents." I put that in quotes because we have no idea who these "agents" are. They're not wearing any badges, they're not showing any ID, and they are hiding their identities behind masks. They are secret police! (Video length is 7:19.)

Also, of tremendous importance, Mayor Baraka, was not only arrested, he was also disappeared for a substantial period of time yesterday, before he was ultimately released. During the period following his (illegal) arrest, Trump attorney Alina Habba spoke to the media and was asked where Msyor Baraka was being held. She refused to give that information. 

It should slso be added that Mayor Baraka, who has served as the Mayor of NJ's largest city for more than a decade, is currently running for Governor of the state.

Yesterday's actions by this regime were the latest test of just how much they can get away with. They've upped the ante from immigrants to political opponents. It shouldn't be lost on anyone that Mayor Baraka is Black, and that two of the three Reps who were assaulted are Black women. This is not by chance.

It isn’t the first time that Baraka has raised a red flag about the plans for Delaney Hall. He issued a similar statement in reaction to ICE’s announcement in February, saying that the facility “cannot lawfully open in Newark” without satisfying city property-use requirements, inspections and permits.

The Friends of Palestine and other hard and far-leftists do that (while demanding that their direct counterparts on the hard and far right be outed and doxxed - duplicitous hypocrisy, never change...).

I think it’s great that people wear masks, when they aren’t trying to abduct and arrest people.

Basically you wear a mask to hide your identity.  Why would government agents doing government approved tasks need to wear masks?  

Possibles:  they are ashamed of what they're doing;  they feel it makes them seem more intimidating.  

What is not possible is they fear retribution.  Absolute nonsense.  

But somehow I suspect that's what they will tell their Maga supporters who have amply demonstrated that they will believe anything.

If Congress doesn't step up and do it's job then they are Hitler's Willing Executioners and it's horrifying to watch this happening in real time.

Trump went from "everything will be cheaper" to "you will have some financial pain" to "your kids won't have toys for Christmas" to "I'm gonna have a birthday parade that will cost $92 million" within 100 days.

Only Trump could bankrupt truth, compassion and the federal budget in under 100 days and still have people cheering for the parade.

Good god, that picture. I assume that is Barron riding on that lion. I remember trying to figure out who would have a house big enough for the lifesized replica stuffed animals, although that is a small one. Not a full sized buffalo or Giraffe. It is fantastic, I mean full of fantasy, that he somehow pulls this tone deaf nonsense off. Is it television? What causes brains to short circuit and think this is fine?

I'll begin with some written context from March, followed by a YouTube clip featuring live video that includes the three US Reps who had a scheduled appointment at the facility, who were assaulted by the "ICE Agents." I put that in quotes because we have no idea who these "agents" are. They're not wearing any badges, they're not showing any ID, and they are hiding their identities behind masks. Also, of tremendous importance, Mayor Baraka, was not only arrested, he was also disappeared for a substantial period of time yesterday, before he was ultimately released. During the period following his (illegal) arrest, Trump attorney Alina Habba spoke to the media and was asked where Msyor Baraka was being held. She refused to give that information. 

It should slso be added that Mayor Baraka, who has served as the Mayor of NJ's largest city for more than a decade, is currently running for Governor of the state.

Yesterday's actions by this regime were the latest test of just how much they can get away with. They've upped the ante from immigrants to political opponents. It shouldn't be lost on anyone that Mayor Baraka is Black, and that two of the three Reps who were assaulted are Black women. This is not by chance.

Edited to add: Who was on the other end of that phone call to the "ICE Agent" that gave the order to arrest the Mayor of NJ's largest city?

Because the "ICE Agents" are likely Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, et.al. including some of the J6 insurrectionists who were pardoned almost immediately after DJT took office again. People who would need to keep their identities hidden.

True ICE Agents and CBP Agents, like those at the border, identify themselves as such. They wear ID tags and/or badges. In many situations, they have warrants, not always the correct warrants, but some type of document that connects them to the legal system. 

That is NOT what we're seeing here or in many of these disappearing incidents across the country.
