Someday the true story of Donald Trump’s Russian connection will be told and it will read like a spy novel worthy of Tom Clancy… It’s the story of a beauty pageant that led to the election of a President. In 2013 Trump was beyond broke. He was deeply in debt and after five bankruptcies, not a bank in America would lend him money. He did however still own the rights to the Miss Universe Contest and in November of that year he took the pageant to Moscow. For a week Mr. Trump and a bevy of the most beautiful young women in the world partied with all the big wigs in Russia… politicos, oligarchs, rock stars, celebrities, even Vladimir Putin himself. There has been much speculation about what went down in that week of booze, babes and big money, but whatever it was, it changed the course of history. Trump left Moscow with the financial backing he so desperately needed and Putin had his hooks in Trump. In 2015 Trump announced his candidacy for POTUS and Putin began actively cultivating his asset. The Mueller report states unequivocally that Russia conducted a systematic misinformation campaign designed to tarnish Trump’s opponents and promote his candidacy. Russia’s influence in the 2016 election was pervasive and it worked… With Putin’s help Donald J Trump became the 45th President of the United States and he wasted no time paying off his pal Vladimir… Trump spoke glowingly of him every chance he got… every executive decision benefited Putin. He ceded the middle east to Russia, withdrew from Syria and allowed Putin to fill the void. He turned his back on Ukraine, the last bastion standing between Russia and a free Europe. He disavowed NATO, the alliance that had held Russia at bay for over 70 years. He pulled US troops out of Germany… something the Kremlin has always wanted. At the Helsinki summit, Trump chose to publicly believe Putin over his own intelligence agencies. He attacked America’s friends and embraced her enemies just like Putin wanted. At home Trump became the “divider in chief” driving deep divisions between all the different factions of American society. To divide America from within… to drive a wedge between blacks and whites, rich and poor, left and right, has long been a part of Putin’s KGB playbook. So it depends on what month you're talking about. If a person dies late in the month they're not going to ask for any payment they received that was cashed or deposited before they died that month, but any payment that is received AFTER they died has to be returned. Since my father died on the 5th of the month and his last SS payment was deposited in our joint account a few days before he died, I was not required to return it. But if he had received another payment the next month I would have had to return the money. But he didn't. I guess when people die late in the month there might be more of a chance of a payment being made to them after they died than in my father's case. My mother passed away at around noon on January 31 of 2019. Social Security withdrew the entire January payment, from her checking account, even though she had lived all but 8 hours of January. Not the February payment, the January payment. And they had withdrawn it within two weeks of her death. I checked with Social Security and they verified that it was correct that they had taken all of her January payment even though she had been alive 99% of the month. My father in law passed away November 8 of 2018, and his entire payment for November was deducted from his checking account within a matter of weeks. At least though, he had only lived 8 days of that month. 2 5 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598725

I can't remember the names of the local food banks we used, but I do remember ours weren't nearly that detailed and full. Also, California is significantly bigger in terms of population, so they probably do have a lot more availability of that sort of thing. South Dakota's population is signfiicantly smaller. So food banks aren't going to be nearly as frequent and common as they might be elsewhere. And two weeks' worth of food is great! But people who are financially struggling will need help a lot longer than that, and they shouldn't have to rely on food banks every couple weeks to get the basics. They should have a stable safety net to help them long-term, one that goes beyond individual charities'/food banks' generosity. 3 hours ago, Dimity said: No, because they don't like hypocrisy: To say nothing of the fact that his family took money from a children's cancer charity. 4 4 2 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598794

Donald may not drink, but is completely capable of falling into a honeypot. Honestly, the honeypot is designed to catch men like him. It's got to be more than just him sleeping with someone. He's been caught cheating before. It could be the golden shower story that has been going around for years. If he was the one being showered he might think it makes him look weak. Or maybe he killed someone. Or the Russians made it look like he did. 13 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598797

But people who are financially struggling will need help a lot longer than that, and they shouldn't have to rely on food banks every couple weeks to get the basics. They should have a stable safety net to help them long-term, one that goes beyond individual charities'/food banks' generosity. Yes, a stable safety net that begins with employment and self-reliance. Assisting with housing in order to allow the earners in the household to be trained or gainfully employed is the first step, but ultimately unless people are permanently disabled to the point of not being able to work at all (and we have lots of clients at the food pantry that are), all assistance should be aimed at helping people get *off* assistance for a happier life. (and yes, we provide referrals to such services both in person and on our pantry website as a matter of course). We have clients that have been coming to the pantry for years and we are so pleased to serve them as we know they will never (for lots of valid reasons) be able to afford both rent/utilities and food...but the people that come to us for a few months and then report they don't need us anymore because they have landed a good job are the ones that are by far the happiest. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598803

The story itself came from a guy named Christopher Steele who released a series of memos pertaining to Trump. I've never heard that anyone has actually viewed the supposed tape of the incident. https://mashable.com/article/donald-trump-pee-tape-golden-showers-explainer 3 minutes ago, Is Everyone Gone said: So Amy Coney Barrett seems to be less MAGA-coded in her SCOTUS decisions ... But that kind of tracks with her extremely Catholic background. Very pro-life, but more liberal socially when it comes to other issues than the hard-core evangelical MAGA base. Also, she doesn't really hang with the Alito/Gorusch/Kavanaugh/Thomas conservative motivational speaking circuit crew. krankydoodle 8 hours ago Share 8 hours ago Stirring speech by Claude Malhuret, a member of the French Senate, who says, "Washington has become the court of Nero: an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers, and a buffoon on Ketamine tasked with purging the civil service." He describes our current dire situation with painful clarity, but also sees signs of hope. 2 2 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598863

I don’t know what Mother Russia would have on Trump, given that everyone has vivid imaginations these days. People could post suspicions as to what Putin has on the guy, and that would cover 95 percent of what could have happened. If it happened, of course. He could always be throwing us under the bus to impress Putin out of his own free will. That’s even more depressing than him being coerced. 8 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598924

(...also, do I want to know what the golden shower story is? 🤔) I am absolutely convinced that nothing would make his base turn on him other than irrefutable proof of murder or child molestation. Pee tapes are victimless fetish stuff and they wouldn't care about that any more than they cared about Stormy Daniels and that was in some ways worse because it involved adultery. And they could always claim that any tapes presented were faked. For Trump himself to be worried enough about it to become Putin's puppet , it has to be really bad. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8598944

This is true. Callous maybe, but true. One must live through the entire month to keep the payment for that month. As I said before the payment for month x is made in the next month y. In this case the check for January would have arrived in February. 2 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150441-chit-chat-the-feels/page/187/#findComment-8599050
