Remember Madison Cawthorn?  The one term Congressman from NC.  He lost reelection it is widely thought because he ran his mouth about sex parties involving his fellow members of Congress and those members wanted him punished for telling tales out of school Congress. Too many people know about Gaetz.  And at some point we will all know about Gaetz.

The reason Trump nominated Gaetz was because he thought the sex crime allegations didn't mean anything. That Gaetz could just talk his way out of it. Because that is what Trump does.  I'm curious to see if his Defense pick who also has sex crimes allegations against him will also face the same resistance for confirmation.

This is going to get interesting.  According to some Musk thinks he actually is the VP.  But even if that were actually the case he's not the kind of person who would be content to be second in command.  Gonna be some fireworks there before long I think.

I think he even got primaried.  Crazy that he was so toxic that even the Republicans primaried him.  Once upon a time a line existed.  Now the bar is so low we can't even send James Cameron down to raise it.

Still I'm not buying anything into this Matt Gaetz is gone.  I feel like he's the sacrifice.  The "see we won't put this douche up so confirm everyone else please!" Person.

If he does return to Congress, re-open the ethics investigation. I think Gaetz may be worried about state-level criminal charges.  The Manhattan DA has a lot of free time with the Trump case on hold, right?

He's been this person since his days of not paying suppliers to his many construction jobs in NYC.

He's been this person since his days of running casinos into the ground.  (Casinos!!! Where the house always wins!)

He's been this person since his (& his family company's) days of working under a consent decree from 1973 for not renting to Black people.

The main benefit of that would be that JD Vance is a moron with the charisma of a used wad of toilet paper. People in congress don't like him any better than they like Cruz or Gaetz. I had bought the tickets back in late August/Early September when I was more…hopeful.

Still, I missed opportunities to see him when he was the sitting President and Biden, and Obama. So looking forward to seeing him finally. Maybe I’ll feel better after. If not, there’s gonna be an open bar, so Johnnie Walker is who I’ll ask for.

His House seat will need a special election.  However...  a friend has posited that DeSantis will appoint Gaetz to Rubio's Senate seat if he (Rubio) is confirmed as SoS.  Which would suck. 

Gaetz said he won't take his House seat in January and we all know we can trust him 🙄.   Also, if he does, the whole ethics thing is back on the table.
