I did like the end -- it was nice to see Kevin not be a total wimpy loser they've tried to make him out to be the last couple of years. Raft's second harvest jokes were too many, but Ruxin being an eagle scout and Kevin's inner Brian were pretty good, comparatively.

I saw this description somewhere else, and it is even more misleading than usual. It's khat, not a new strain of marijuana, and Trixie had nothing to do with the Andre/Russell relationship. Khat and the extremely attractive Sarah Dumont were the reasons for Russell's meltdown, in some order.

I was actually hoping that the wine bar would be moderately successful. The show has had a good run, so a few changes could open up some interesting storylines.

The great thing about Russell fucking the cheese was when he put his leg up. I hope it was ad libbed. The reaction was hilarious.

Just watched all the episodes in about 2 weeks.

Favorite Episodes:   The Cape Fear rip off with the return of Mr. McGiblets.  The episode where Rafi moves in with Ruxin to chase away the nanny.  The Bobum Man.  And the episode where they make the porno in Andre's apartment.  The Thanksgiving episode with Sarah Silverman.

Love Ruxin and Rafi.  HATE Pete because he is such a slimy shit.

I agree. I'll be happy for the show to make a graceful exit with its final season (or as graceful as these people can muster)

Sustaining comedy for a long time is tough, but after watching a lot of the marathon we had up here on Canadian FXx this weekend I feel like it's best to just watch it as comedian's riffing.

I didn't mind this ep as much as others, I guess. Taco's lines were funny and as nonsensical as ever. I did think the open with Marshawn Lynch should have shown the thrown bottle being intercepted vs. the grill and fire.

The beginning of the episode was much funnier than the end. Taco Corp in small doses is hilarious, the celeb cameo was well played, and the characters were dependably themselves. The twist of Andre dating Pete's ex has a ton of promise. But for me, Raffi tends to derail what I find to be the actual humor among the regular cast-members; gross without the funny is just gross. The show's formula is to build to the high point of the gang doing something completely embarrasing and awful in public/in front of celebrities, but the draft scene didn't pay off. It felt like wasted opportunity, and sadly, McGibblets felt shoe-horned in. (Which is tragic because McGibblets is my favorite thing ever about this show.)

Maybe it's good the show is ending

Word to that Sportsgirl - Raffi would have been an OK character in one half of a season.  The fact that he's a dangerous gross psychopath isn't funny at all.  The fact that the group allows him to hang out with them dumbs each character down quite a bit.  Taco has also jumped the shark.  I liked him as a loser little brother with a terrible filter.  The fact that he orders a porta-potty seems to be begging for laughs.  I will watch it through the end, but it ain't the same...

Wow. I remember him telling that story on WTF with Marc Maron and being gobsmacked that he and his wife so narrowly escaped, and now I'm just grossed out. And he's a damn good actor, because he sounded incredibly believable when he was talking about it. Did he think he needed a cool story for Marc Maron or something?  Because that's a really shitty thing to lie about.

So he was actually working in Midtown at that time? He can tell the whole story without the hyperbole to be at the actual WTC, and it still resonates as an emotional story, and is true!. I'm guessing when he actually started talking with people it got embellished from being in Midtown to at the WTC, likely out of further questioning from people.

I almost want to go back and listen to that WTF episode again, because as I recall, he was talking about his previous life working as a stockbroker, and offered up on his own that he was in the twin towers, and that his (now) wife was on her way to work.  But now, reading that article, no wonder he backed off on telling the story on a different podcast; he probably realized he'd stretched the story too far and didn't want to go further.  I just wonder why this is coming out now.

I believe that the New York Times was doing a profile or did a profile on him and they questioned the fact about him working at Merrill Lynch in the WTC. Merrill Lynch was not located in the WTC, ever. I don't know how he managed to have noone notice that piece of the story at the time or since. Marc wouldn't know what companies were or were not in the WTC, so he wouldn't have known to confirm or double check. He took him at face value, cause who'd lie about something like that. I agree with the fact that him being in the vicinity at the time would have been enough; the embellishment is so wrong. He was about to have a comedy special air on Comedy Central which probably will never see the light of day now.

I enjoy whenever Andre gets a "win." He's always the butt of the joke, that when he comes out on top, I cheer. Conversely, I like it whenever Pete gets some comeuppance. I also had to laugh at Raffi's line about how, while in period attire, it was a slave auction, and wanted to know that everyone was okay with that.

I guess I'm in the minority, in loving every time Raffi shows up. I get a kick out of how he always calls Kevin, Brian, and that Pete is "Tall Guy."

I suffered Rafi fatigue early in the season, but find him much more endearing now. I enjoy the little throwaways too (Brian, Tall Guy, Pocket Dawgs), but his ridiculousness serves to show off the ridiculousness of the whole group.

"This is a slave auction, right?" Was awfully on the nose.

The only problem I had was continuity.

Taco had already drafted Sebastian Janikowski (and actually a second kicker) when he put him up for auction.

Come on people, just because it's the final season doesn't mean that you have to phone it in on the accuracy of the draft board.

I also don't understand how "The Coin" is supposed to work, if every decision is decided by the flip of a coin couldn't they all just keep proposing terrible trades to that team? There's a 50/50 chance they'd accept any trade no matter how terrible.

Ooof, after two good episodes to start the season, that was a bit of a coaster. Thank goodness Ruxin was there to keep the humor, if this had been one of the episodes he missed over the past few years I don't think it would have survived.

I'm amazed at how quick on actual NFL news this show is. Brady being cleared to play was less than three weeks ago, did they film the two alternatives and sort it in editing?

I almost threw up when I saw the in show Draft Kings commercial as between them an Fan Duel, they have ruined ANY sort of non-DVR television watching with their incessant ads for their gambling sites. And its not just sports, as they are on USA, TBS, etc during non-sporting events all the time. And Dave Gomes may be the greatest guy on the planet but I hate him for those ads (and yes I know it isn't his fault) but if I have to see him grab his teeth one more time...I will complain about it...more...on the internet...on a television forum...I got nothing

I'd have to go with Kev as the Jets based on relative historical ineptitude (I love you, Jets fans! but you know I'm right).

Good call. It's actually a perfect metaphor: the quietly competent Giants (2 Super Bowls) = Jenny, the hilariously incompetent Jets = Kevin, and they share the same "home field".

Andre did say, "are we going to let him do this?" So I figured that meant they all knew.

Minor error: when Rafi correctly was pointing out that it was a slave auction and they hadn't drafted a white guy, Gronk was already on the board.

This was a little too much for me because while I can imagine Andre is a competent and professional surgeon, beating up all those people was ridiculous even for this show.

But Kevin did win a title.....sort of, a few seasons ago, depending on if it counted.

The EBDB and "Forever unclean!!:" saved this episode for me. I don't know why I find that phrase so funny, but especially when Ruxin says it, it cracks me up. (Like Dee's "God Damn it!" on Its ALways sunny)

The ONLY positive about the whole Draft Kings thing is that almost all of the characters denounced it as something they couldn't do. Only Pete, arguably the most morally bankrupt one of them, would consider trying it out.

I thought Jenny said "forever unclean" at the end. Which was perfect.

Not that the show has any basis in reality, but if my wife wanted to nanny cam the house while she went away, uh, no.

I found the whole dick chicken concept to be hilarious because I could totally believe that happening. Jenny really sold it by taking it so seriously, "are you hard?" I was wondering if she ad libbed it because that scene was great.

I agree that if my spouse tried to Nanny Cam the house while I was there and they were not, there would major problems.  I would not be having it

So did Taco do something to Andre's implant stash that caused Frank "The Body's" girlfriend to actually have lopsided breasts? Couldn't quite follow that.

Yes. He had taken them from Andre's office to play cornhole in Kevin and Jenny's back yard (instead of actual bean bags). I think the implication was that the frequent shots they had taken had made them irregular.  Why he would have taken them back to Andre's was never mentioned. Probably best not to think about it.

I did like the call back to the hot tub being soiled though. The whole Jenny and Meegan scene was creepy, but funny. I was wondering how much the actor ad libbed because Jenny at the end looked like, "whoa." I also did like that Andre was right in the end about his lineup. If they were all inept at fantasy football it wouldn't work. He does know what he's doing.

I don't mean to be, but Meegan totally pegs Andre. I mean, seriously.
