  1. Those old electromechanical meters will draw power, two watts according to Wikipedia. Mr. Electricity notes that it will take around three hours for one revolution with no load. http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/meters.html
  2. I originally also thought Bite Force should have narrowly won over Chomp, so carefully re-watched the entire match a second time. While very close, ultimately Chomp was virtually undamaged at the end of the match, while Bite Force was weaponless and fairly beaten up. I revised my vote and agreed with the judges. It was a pretty nice contest, and worth its position at the end of the episode.
  3. Actually, you can board a plane with no ID whatsoever. It's not easy, and would most definitely take some time, but it happens all the time. Having Alex with his credit card and ID to vouch for him would help somewhat. I travel a lot, and have asked the TSA agents about this, as I couldn't find my ID for about five minutes one trip. I've got a backup, but it still panicked me. Remember that Alex paid for the tickets and pretty much everything else in Detroit. The great Mike Rowe posted just a couple of weeks ago on getting to the airport with no wallet or ID. Fortunately for him, he had two magazines with him on the cover in his carry-on bag.
  4. That was darn near a perfect thirty minutes of television. Best cricket timing, ever!
  5. I saw this description somewhere else, and it is even more misleading than usual. It's khat, not a new strain of marijuana, and Trixie had nothing to do with the Andre/Russell relationship. Khat and the extremely attractive Sarah Dumont were the reasons for Russell's meltdown, in some order.
