I did write a Haiku in the Top Chef thread many years ago in honor of Padma's "snot on a rock" comment she used to describe a contestant's dish. I think it was on Primetimer or else TWOP.

Just got back from Bloomington, and I’m reading that Cameron wants to put up Jag & Blue. Jag? The guy that’s been the pawn as well? What does he think will happen when he gets rid of the other easy pawn in the house? 🥴

I noticed that Cirie’s has been the vote every week after which Julie says that’s enough votes to evict. 🙄

So re: the power of invincibility that we’re voting for, the vote winner doesn’t win the power but only has a 1/4 chance to win? I don’t like that, that’s not giving us any power.

True, but remember, Cirie isn't actually GOOD at competitions, so this is the only way she's not guaranteed to be just essentially GIVEN the power (don't worry, though, whoever wins it will likely be a minion of hers who will do whatever she asks).

So officially HGs were just ONE MINUTE from tying the record of 13 hours 53 mins set during BB6. So close!

I’m surprised noms are today as usual after such a long comp when maybe 1 person slept. Cam says he’s not going to bd this week, so his noms are target and if one wins veto, he’ll put up #3. He’s going to waste his HoH isn’t he, at least imo. This will be the 1st not unanimous vote.

I gotta say, it's really weird for me where I don't hate the HG that the producers are rigging the game for, so I'm not, like, mad at her for doing well. I still hate the rigging, of course, as it is AWFUL, but at least she isn't Evil Dick or Paul.

It's a weird situation.

He told Izzy that in his first meeting as well.

He's trying to put together an alliance of him, Red, Bowie, Matt, Cory, and America to go against Cirie and co. He hinted at it with Cory, America, and even Jag and then is now pretty much spelling it out for Matt. The problem is, Matt is now up Cirie's butt so she will likely hear about this later.

For me the difference is Evil Dick and Paul think they are good Big Brother players. I don't think Cirie thinks of herself as some master strategist. If she does end up winning this season I can't see herself touting how great of  player she is, she will make fun of everything she got wrong or all of her flipflopping.

What a terrible, terrible plan by him. If you want to go at Cirie, you don't come up with a "Maybe we can backdoor one of her people" plan, you just GO AT CIRIE. This guy's a tactical fool.

I'll give Cirie this much, though, the fact that she's up against terrible players who are just rolling out the red carpet for her isn't a knock on her, as MOST BB HGs are terrible.

Oh true, but there's so little chance of it actually happening. But yes, agreed on that part. He might have stumbled into something fun by TOTAL ACCIDENT (as he doesn't know about Izzy's hold on Cirie and Jared).

Spilling the Fields secret fun? 🙏🤞There will be so much sobbing from Izzy, she’ll be a mess. Jared and Blue will def hook up like it’s the end of the world. That will piss off Cirie. She’s already reprimanded him severely for drinking so much beer (his HoH prize) and she did that in the cooker in front of everyone and they still don’t see the connection there 🤦🏻‍♀️

Dang, @dizzyd - beat me to it.  Just how panicky do we think Izzy might be at a BD prospect?

(Note: autocorrect initially changed my “BD” to a “VD” - might be time to start reconsidering some of my life choices….)

Agreed. Cirie or Jared would have to REALLY screw her over for her to spill. That's why the best chance, though, is for Jared to push for Blue to stay over her. Fingers crossed!

Maybe, but when your F3 is otb, you can get desperate and stupid and at the rate Jared is going, he’ll do his own spilling. Speaking of which, when do we get a 🤮 reaction, primetimer? Sometimes there’s no other emoji that fits the bill.

Eta: I’m so glad you’re still on board, @peachmangosteen even though you lost Hisam. I strongly believe there’s more fun to be had with this group.

We need the dog prayer circle. This would be so fun to watch, Izzy scrambling around the house, crying, Cirie yelling at Jared, Blue clinging to Jared,

Cameron is summoned to the diary room. Guess it's time for him to hand in his nominations. And we're at bunnies! A nice fluffy white one.

Did any of the people get any sleep? Or have they been up this entire time? I know Jared passed out after he got scolded by his mommy. And Cirie, Felicia, & Izzy napped at times, but they always got up when a group came in. I had to adult for a bit and didn’t see if anyone actually went to sleep at all…

Nah, you just hand everybody else an idol and wai...no, wrong show.

Granted, I thought Cirie being eliminated in that fashion was as much bullshit as BB dropping her into this cast. CBS really needs a thorough review and overhaul of its game shows, LOL.

I think it would take a lot for Izzy to spill. Most likely Jared being a dick to her. I do feel like if the secret is revealed more people will be pissed at Jared. The only person I could see really being pissed at Cirie is Felicia.

Eh anybody can crack, and Jared has already pushed for Izzy to be targeted, I just can't remember if he only said that to Cirie. Honestly Jared is going to tell Blue before Izzy tells anyone. And it's not impossible to figure out, but basically if someone worked Izzy just right while she might not literally say Cirie is Jared's mom she can say enough to make them start wondering and figuring out, and claim she didn't intentionally betray Cirie.

The one thing these hamsters don't get is that if you are trying to manipulate someone? You can not leave them be to stew in their own paranoia or allow others to get their ear. I think to Izzy's credit she more less does this with Cirie. When she does part ways physically from Cirie she checks in and reports back immediately so that she isn't caught of guard. Like Cory was the one that kept the Hisam vote from flipping but Izzy was the one who sent up the smoke signal, because she is the first which way the Cirie wind blows. So like if I'm Cory and I watch Jared, Cirie, and Izzy drop, he should of dropped too if only to keep an eye on that whole damn group.

But at the least I do want Izzy to go up, and the chances she goes out are pretty strong, especially next to Blue.

I don’t think Izzy is so enamored with Cirie that she would sacrifice her own game for her - and I’m pretty damn sure Izzy wouldn’t do it for Jared.

Given that Blue and Jag are the initial Block noms, my perfect week would be something along the lines of:

  1. Jared plays in PoV comp, wins PoV, and takes Blue off the Block.
  2. Cameron names Cirie as the replacement nom.
  3. Cirie goes home Thursday.

Can you imagine the reactions in the House if Jared’s actions to rescue his quasi-showmance ended up being the instrument of his mother’s game’s demise?

Yeah, I know - but an old fart can dream, can’t he? 😆

I would imagine that Cirie urged Cam to put Blue up to get her out and away from Jared.

I think everybody except maybe Cameron caught at least a couple of hours or so of catnaps - according to Cameron, he’s one of those people who are simply incapable of sleeping if the sun’s up.

It certainly doesn’t bother me overmuch.  My recollection of the original Pressure Cooker was that it was a fair bit more brutal than this Production-tweaked version.  IMHO tying or breaking the original’s record would have imparted a false equivalence between the two versions - but hey, maybe that’s just me.

It just feels like it fits, y'know? "They were one minute short of breaking the record." "Of course they were. Welcome to Big Brother." Especially in a season that's going to flirt with nostalgia in an anniversary numbered season. The fact that is was only sixty seconds is like the glossy cherry on top of the already delicious sundae. In a way, I feel like I should have expected it to end that way.

Cory wanted to keep Cameron and Red in order to make them target Cirie and Co. It didn't work. How frustrating.

Imagine how disappointed Cory will be after he finds out that all his work in the house and all his dreams of playing his favorite game was for nothing since the game was rigged from the start with Cirie and misogynistic son in there.

I don't get why people pay to watch Taran's stream of standing there and commenting on watching a show. I see it as paying someone to keep me company or go out with me.

Taran must have made thousands of $$ these two days. I would never give anyone not one cent for this reason. I mean, I love him, but no.

Malta and Cory got on the hammock and started to talk game. Malta had "rethought things" and decided that Cam wasn't the worst. But then BB called her into the DR. Cory told her he was going to "talk hellish into the camera," but she just laughed and said "of course" and kept going.

Cory said how good it was to talk in full volume for once, which I certainly appreciate as a listener. Except that he called us "Dude" at the beginning, I think. Sir! We are the island nation of Malta!

He said that the more he thought about it, the more Cam winning HOH was pretty f***ing incredible for him. He assumed he wasn't going to be backdoored, and he said that Malta had made a deal protecting him, which "what a good deal. What a team  player, Malta" which, I GUESS, as long as she knows she's helping Team Cory instead of Team Malta.

Did Malta really do that? Make a deal with Cameron to protect Cory?

Then Cory congratulated himself on putting in time with Cam. He wants Jag to win and Jared to go up. He can't tell if Jag's not a good player, or if he's just in a bad situation and the game's hard. Cory feels like HE is in a good situation, and it's not that hard, but he's been doing a good job. He's banking on certain people not talking to each other. He's trying to cover his ass. Like he'll tell Cameron that Izzy was trying to flip votes against him, then tell Izzy that Cameron told him he's hearing suspicions like that.

He wondered if "the America thing" was becoming a problem to the rest of the alliance. To him, the thing about her is she's helpful to him beyond the game numbers.  She told him  about going to Brown, after he told her about his brother being on Survivor. He doesn't think he needed to tell her that, because she was already vouching for him to Cam, but it's still good. He doesn't think that she'll run to Jared as long as she thinks he'll protect her. "Which I will, over Jared." I'm not sure Malta would be reassured if she heard that.

He thinks that he's probably closer to Jared, but Malta is a better person to keep around.

Then, Cory speaks the words that are music to my ears:

"Jared's  kind of a dick! I like Jared. We get along well. But he can be a bit of a dick." Then he started talking about the fauxmance and I had to leave.

I like when a hamster talks to us, but for me, a little Cory goes a long way.

I feel like this year's pressure cooker was worse. They had no way of knowing how long they'd been there since they couldn't see the sun. They had to be in complete darkness a lot of the time. It was freezing in there, too. They did let them go to the bathroom when they dropped out though, which I don't think they did last time.

I wouldn't pay for it, but I do watch with him sometimes, because he watches so much more of the feeds than anybody else he's got a better read than I do on any particular snippet I might see, he has more of the context of any given conversation, I consider it analysis v. snarky commentary or dry recapping.

I think OG Pressure cooker was more entertaining to watch for a lot of different reasons but it being more/less stressful wasn't it, more down to the larger personalities of everyone involved and the larger storyline in the house with both tv and feeds seeing one side as rootable and the other hateable.

Also I believe Madagascar did make a deal for herself and Cory with Cam. Questionable if he will stick to it for Cory.

She's always described herself as a good social player which is true, not a good strategist.

Cirie's power lies in her ability to make everyone feel like they're her #1, without ever actually saying those words.  Honestly, I don't understand it, it must be something you have to experience in person.  Last night on the feeds, I caught a convo between Red and Cam with Red insisting that he has a close personal connection with Cirie and that he trusts that above everything.  Now I don't think I've ever seen the two of them talk, and from my perspective, Red is way down on Cirie's list (if he's on it at all) but he still believes that they are peas in a pod.  That kind of belief, with no words to back it up and actions that seem to defy the possibility is sheer magic.  I'd call that producer shennanigans, but that's exactly what happened on Survivor and Traitors, people trusted her when everything they knew should have told them differently.

ETA:  This does not mean to imply that she hasn't been given seriously unfair advantages (a built in secret alliance + the "star" entrance to the show) and I would enjoy this season without her interference, but there is something there, there as far as her social game goes.

To me, that’s actually the key difference, and might have changed the whole season 6. Rachel was in there with them, and I believe desperately needed to pee which is why she pushed Kaysar so hard to take Jenn’s “deal”, even though Janelle was on the outside desperately trying him to hang on.

That’s how I remembered it too but I wasn’t sure if they actually let them pee. I mean, even with this season they said they wouldn’t be allowed to pee unless 3 people dropped but then they cut the feeds every time someone dropped and we found out later that was because they were letting them pee so I wasn’t sure if they did that in BB6 or not.

Ugh I can’t stand Jared! He knows he has the numbers and if jag doesn’t win, that side is going to clean house.

And unfortunately Matt is in Cirie’s web and he’s probably going to end up like Eric did with the black widow brigade and I won’t find it enjoyable this time.
