Airdate: March 30, 2023

Oh boy, more Maggie and Winston fighting! I just hope Addison is OK...though if she's injured and needs to stick around for the rest of the season to recover (or otherwise decides to stay around), I won't complain about that!

Who didn't guess that the old ladies would have an STI (I even guessed the right one) and they would be sleeping with the same guy.

Maggie has a lot of nerve asking why she's not getting the benefit of the doubt from Winston.

For the dramatic aftermath of a hit and run involving Addison, the episode itself was really boring.  Whatever peril Addison was in, was resolved very quickly, and the pregnant doctor's storyline felt very low energy, even if it wasn't meant to be.  I'd much rather watch a spin off where Addison drives around the country performing heroic acts of health care in her trusty mobile surgery center.  Of course, in the spin off, the ambulance would be like KITT and allow Addison to have someone to interact with, while making quips and providing exposition during the episode.

With the way Richard and Bailey sent her on her way and told her to be careful and the way Addison talked last week about everything that's happened to her and how she and her family have been doxxed and threatened, I fully expected something to happen to her before she leaves Seattle or somewhere on the road.

Is Kate Walsh scheduled to appear in more episodes?

Glad I wasn't alone in finding it rather boring, though I did sort of expect Addison to collapse at any moment. And I'm all in for that spinoff!

Oh, I felt very anxious when she was getting into the van (or whatever it is). Thought someone would be lurking there, and we'd hear a gunshot at the end of the ep. Or hear her scream or something. (It's possible I watch too much SVU and FBI...).

I was also expecting something like a bomb in the PRT, but had to tell myself that was (probably) too out there for Greys.

Too out there for a show that has had exploding bodies in surgery, plane crashes with all the senior surgeons on board, electrocutions in the basement, and doctors killed by speeding cars, buses, and trucks, and stabbings? Really?!

Let's not forget the scene with Christina, Meredith and Kathryn Heigel's character (went blank on the name...darn chemo...IZZY!!!) picking brain matter out of Meredith's hair.

How can Addison drive with her arm in a sling?  She's not driving that rig one-armed, is she?

I had the same thought. My boss had shoulder surgery a couple weeks ago and he's not allowed to drive for another month. And he just drives a regular old mid-size car.

I missed it if Jules said how she met her roommate?  That seems like an unusual living arrangement and one I think I'd really like, as a single woman in my 60s.

She was friends with roommate's grandson in med school.

It was lovely seeing Juliet Mills.  Btw, she has been married since 1980 to Maxwell Canfield from Grease 2, since 1980.  They said it wouldn’t last because he is 18 years younger, but they proved the sceptics wrong

I would totally watch that spin off. Has a show ever been on so long that it allowed two different spin offs for one character?

THAT's who that was. Thank you.

It seemed like the older ladies lived in some kind of retirement place because glasses talked about calling the center about the stds. Retirement places wouldn’t let Jules live there.

I’m tired of TV characters leaping out of hospital beds with blood still dripping to insist they are perfectly fine and must go back to work. These are the same people who get mad at patients for not taking care of themselves.

Juliet mills, I grew up watching  her and Hailey. I see Juliet hasn't bothered  with fillers and botox,  well done her! . I loved those two, they reminded  me of my grandmother  and her best friend, minus the sex.

I'm glad Addison  is okay, I kept  thinking  something  else was going to happen to her,  I was glad when she drove off.

lol, yeah, my first thought was "for the place they used to call Seattle Grace Mercy Death"?! 😆

But yeah, I was relieved when Addison pulled out without getting blown up, shot, stabbed or otherwise destroyed. Though I agree with the many wth takes re her driving that thing with only one arm! I'm surprised she couldn't find at least one partner to work with--seems like the kind of thing that would be better with at least two people. Or a rotating roster of partners. She can't be the only person in the country willing and able to do that kind of work.

So many people were waiting for something to happen to Addison. Meanwhile,I was actually expecting the intern who got with the brick (I still haven't bothered to learn their names) to suddenly stroke out or to be found in the lounge dead. They killed off a character on Private Practice that way.

While I'm glad that it was not a mass casualty event like the writers are so fond of, it did seem like things calmed down incredibly quickly. We went from bricks through windows and angry mobs and hit-and-runs to... retirement home STD drama? Just seemed like a complete 180 in action level.

Yes, I think that's what the issue was with this episode. It was all so intense in the previous one, and this felt like a letdown. Yes, there was tension in whether the pregnant woman and her baby would make it, but then it was also focusing on Maggie and Winston drama, the retirement home STDs, etc. It felt very anticlimatic.

She could live in an adult community. Some let younger people live there --spouses or partners, your kids (as long as they aren't actual kids)

But glasses said he was calling a director to get all the residents tested. That seems more like a retirement home or assisted living than a 55 and older community ( although most of those don’t allow young people living there either).

There are hybrid communities. My mother lives in such a setting. There are duplexes as well as a high rise building with both assisted living and more traditional nursing apartments in the retirement compound. All residents of the community have access to the common areas, social activities, dining room, and so forth. My parents bought a duplex in their retirement community about 8 years ago. It’s like any other home other than panic buttons in the bathroom, etc. Since my father passed, the community’s format allows my mom more opportunities to socialize without moving into the assisted living building.

But I agree; the storyline was unnecessarily confusing as to how and where Jules lives with an elder that she’s not related to.

Yes I have relatives who live in those types of buildings but I have never seen young people there. My aunt lived in an independent condo and then moved to assisted living when she was older. I was also researching living options for my MIL but she ended up staying in her home, I didn’t see any places that allowed people to get young roommates but I’m certainly not an expert in all housing . My aunt was never involved with a director until she moved to assisted living so it seemed off to me.

maybe roommates friend lived in the community place but roomy didn't? just went over their often to dabble with the residents

I was hoping jake would appear to drive addy back but hey, we can't have everything, at least he still exists in the Greys world. And if Addison was back full time, we'd need Ben Brat back too OR he dies/they split. which i don't want.
